To be posted VERY LOW on the refrigerator door - nose height: Dear Dogs and Cats, The dishes with the paw print are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Please note, placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest. The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Beating me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help because I fall faster than you can run. I cannot buy anything bigger than a king sized bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to ensure your comfort. Dogs and cats can actually curl up in a ball when they sleep. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out the other end to maximize space is nothing but sarcasm. For the last time, there is not a secret exit from the bathroom. If by some miracle I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob or get your paw under the edge and try to pull the door open. I must exit through the same door I entered. Also, I have been using the bathroom for years --canine or feline attendance is not required. The proper order is kiss me, then go smell the other dog or cat's butt. I cannot stress this enough! To pacify you, my dear pets, I have posted the following message on our front door: To All Non-Pet Owners Who Visit & Like to Complain About Our Pets: 1. They live here. You don't. 2. If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. (That's why they call it "fur"niture.) 3. I like my pets a lot better than I like most people. 4. To you, it's an animal. To me, he/she is an adopted son/daughter who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly. Remember, dogs and cats are better than kids because they: 1. Eat less 2. Don't ask for money all the time 3. Are easier to train 4. Normally come when called 5. Never ask to drive the car 6. Don't hang out with drug-using friends 7. Don't smoke or drink 8. Don't have to buy the latest fashions 9. Don't want to wear your clothes 10. Don't need a gazillion dollars for college, and... 11. If they get pregnant, you can sell their children.

The Christian’s Way To Save Your Marriage Let’s face it: marriage is a challenge! There is no way around that. But it is a challenge with enormous payoffs in the end. That is God’s plan. Marriages teach us to be better Christians, if we allow it. Unfortunately, too many times, we take the easy way out. That has been my frustration for many years. I have seen couple after couple end their marriage for the wrong reason. This led me on a journey to discover what marriage was about, from a Biblical perspective, and how to use a person’s Christian faith to bring the marriage back together. My first discovery was that modern psychology was exacerbating the problem! While attempting to help, psychology was doing great harm to marriages. In fact, the statistics were appalling. Did you know that less than 50% of marriages that go to therapy stay together? And only 10-20% of people in marital therapy report any improvement. Imagine that: you go to a doctor, and he tells you that you need surgery. But you have less than a 50/50 chance of survival. And if you do survive, only a 10 to 20% chance of improving. Who in their right mind would go through with surgery? Yet many, many couples end up in therapy each year. And when therapy doesn’t help, they decide that the marriage must really be over. I knew there had to be better answers. . . and there were, right there in my Christian beliefs. I just had to take those beliefs, use them in real practice, and create a practical approach that is founded in faith. For over 17 years, I have worked to discover, practice, and perfect this approach. Now, I am ready to offer this to you! God has given us the tools we need to build strong marriages, to become “One Flesh.” But it takes study, discernment, and practice to bring this approach to fruition. You can take your beliefs, faith, and relationship to God to build your relationship. I will show you how!
Please pray that my husband come back home to his wife and family and that the lord speak to him to call me and not ignore me anymore that I have peace in my heart and that I be able to be strong and get more closer to my Lord God. That he keep my husband safe please safe and that he tell him I love him deeply
Part of the problem of evil is the problem of why Satan is given so much freedom to harm the world, when God has the right and power to throw him in the pit. God will one day do away with Satan altogether (Revelation 20:3, 10). That will be no injustice to Satan. Nor would it be unjust for God to do it today. So why doesn't He, in view of how much misery Satan causes? Satan roams like a devouring lion to destroy faith (1 Peter 5:8); he makes people sick and diseased (Acts 10:38); he tempts to sin (Luke 22:3-4); he blinds the minds of unbelievers (2 Corinthians 4:4); he takes people captive to do his will (2 Timothy 2:26); he kills (Revelation 2:10). One day God will stop him from doing this. Why doesn't He stop him now?
Could it be that there is a chance the devil and his angels will repent? Is God is giving them time? No. The Bible teaches they are irredeemable. Jesus said that "the eternal fire . . . has been prepared for the devil and his angels" (Matthew 25:41). Jude confirms this when he says that the fallen angels are being "kept in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day" (Jude 1:6). Why then does God tolerate Satan? The key is that God aims to defeat Satan in a way that glorifies not only his power, but also the superior beauty and worth and desirability of his Son over Satan. God could simply exert raw power and snuff Satan out. That would glorify God's power. But it would not display so clearly the superior worth of Jesus over Satan. That will be displayed as Christ defeats Satan by his death and then by winning superior allegiance from the saints over the lies of Satan. Central to this plan is that God defeats Satan in stages through the work of Christ. Paul says that when we were forgiven all our trespasses by Christ's death on the cross, God thus "disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him" (Colossians 2:15). This was the first stage of Satan's defeat. How was he defeated by the cross? The lethal weapon of soul-destroying sin and guilt is taken out of Satan's hand. He is disarmed of the single weapon that can condemn us - unforgiven sin. We see this in 1 Corinthians 15:55-57, "O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." Without sin and law to condemn us, Satan is a defeated foe. He is disarmed. Christ has triumphed over him, not yet by casting him into hell and nullifying his influence on earth, but by letting him live and watch while millions of saints find forgiveness for their sins and turn their back on Satan because of the greater glory of Christ. That is a second stage of defeat: the conversion of people by the power of the gospel of the cross. Jesus says to Paul that his mission to the Gentiles is "to open their eyes, so that they may turn . . . from the power of Satan to God" (Acts 26:18). This is what happens when God removes the blindness caused by the devil and gives us the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ (2 Corinthians 4:4-6). This enables people to see the ugliness of Satan and the beauty of Christ so that their choosing Christ glorifies not only God's power, but Christ's superior beauty and worth over Satan. This way of defeating Satan is a costly triumph. Christ suffered and the world suffers. But God's values are not so easily reckoned. If Christ obliterated all demons now (which he could do), His sheer power would be seen as glorious, but His superior beauty and worth would not shine so brightly as when God's people renounce the promises of Satan, trust in Christ's blood and righteousness, and take pleasure in the greater glory of Jesus over Satan. This means that our treasuring Christ above all the promises of sin and Satan is part of the triumph of that God designs for this age. Take up arms! Be glad in the Son of God! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- -----

We live today in a world where we are taught to equate happiness with wealth. All around we are bombarded with adverts, media articles and gossip of how the answer to life is some how wrapped up in the possession of money. Television programs like "Who Wants to be a Millionaire", for most people are the highlight of their evening's viewing. We all buy lottery tickets in the hope that one day the winner will be us. The original adverts for the lottery even seemed to make it "God like", it was the finger from heaven choosing a lucky person. But who is to say that by becoming a millionaire it will make us happy ? The same media who sell us the dream. Also contain heartbreaking stories of celebrities crippled by addiction to drugs and alcohol in an effort to find happiness in their lives. If happiness was in wealth why are so many rich people still searching for something more ?
Everything around us is designed to be instant, we are sold: instant access, instant coffee and instant success. We want to save every precious second and live life to the full. "Road rage" has become a common occurrence as we try to get to our destination in the quickest time without wasting a minute. Fitness centres have become the flavour of the day. We try to get in shape, build a better physique as we try to impress our peers, add years to our life and feel better about ourselves. So why in this new, bright world do we need Christianity? The desire in peoples hearts still seems to be to want more. Whether its reading the horoscopes or visiting a fortune teller to help reveal the answers to the future, or buying the latest P.C. or car to impress the people around us. We all feel the need to fit in and know our place in this world. You may say that there are people who are totally self sufficient and independent. This on the outside may be true, but their persona is the way they want people to accept and react towards them. We all have a need to fit in and make our mark on society and the people around us. We are all looking for that 15 minutes of fame. If only it could be us ? Why is life so unfair ? But this is not a problem that has just raised its head in the 21st Century. Blaise Pascal (1623-62) a French mathematician and philosopher, made these observations "All men seek happiness, without exception; they all aim at this goal, however different the means they use to attain it.... The will never makes the smallest move but with this as its goal. It is the motive of the actions of all men, even those who contemplate suicide. And yet, for centuries past, never has anyone, lacking faith, reached the mark at which all continually aim. What is it then that this eager desire, and this incapacity, cry aloud to us but that man once possessed true happiness, of which nothing now remains save the mark and empty outline, which he vainly tries to fill in with his circumstances, seeking from things (in the future) the help which he fails to find in things present, all of them incapable of giving (happiness), because the infinite abyss can only be filled by one infinite and steadfast object , i.e. by God himself ?" So here we have it from Pascal the truth that is applicable to all centuries, to all generations. We may try to find happiness in all different circumstances of life, but the void in our hearts can only be filled by an infinite God. Fame, wealth, success and praise from our peers cannot and do not satisfy the longing in the heart of man. But, you may say, I am happy, I have all I need, I don't need anything in my life to complicate and take the focus off the happiness I already have. At this point in time it may be so, and to you I say I wish you all the best. But I can assure you that one day you will wake up wondering where the years have gone and wondering if it could have been better ! You may not admit it, but it will be there somewhere deep in your heart. In an excellent sermon on Ephesians 1 v 3-6 (March 8 1992) John Piper says this " If you are trusting in Jesus Christ this morning the roots of your life were planted in the eternal counsels of God, and the branches of your life are growing into an absolutely sure and glorious future with God. There are no unimportant days in your life. You don’t ever have to go to bed at night feeling your life is going nowhere. You don’t ever have to give in to the lie that you are not connected to an awesome purpose." There is only one way to have the confidence that there are NO unimportant days in your life and that your future is sure and glorious, no matter what, and that is to put your faith and trust in God, by recognizing and accepting the sacrifice of his son Jesus Christ for you. There is no other way. All other religions will leave you short because they cannot offer a personal connection with the awesome purposes of God, which will include you!
Hebrews 6 v 18 says
That by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us. It is impossible for God to lie, therefore every word God has given us is true and can be trusted. 2 Corinthians 1 v 20 says For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. Here we have the assurance that all God's promises are now yes for us because of the finished work of Christ. If this is so lets look at some of those promises. Christ is committed to making our salvation secure - Hebrews 7 v 24-25 But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. The work Christ has started in me, HE will finish - Philippians 1 v 6 Being confident of this very thing, that he who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. All circumstances are for the good of the believer - Romans 8 v 28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. God knows all about us and cares for our well being - Matthew 10 v29-31 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin?. And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore: you are of more value than many sparrows. In times of distress, God will not let us down - Philippians 4 v 6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds through Christ Jesus. God is committed to looking after us - Philippians 4 v 19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. When I am weak, even then God is helping me - 2 Corinthians 12 v 9 And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. God's grace in us works to help and make us press on - 1 Corinthians 15 v 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
