Hello, everyone! It's been a while since I have written anything here, but I plan to do more. I have been visiting the site off and on, and I like the changes. Things have been going ok in my life. I am still working, and things are pretty good there. I went through a struggle for a short time, but God brought me through it. Friends, thanks for keeping in touch. Will write more soon.
'Twas The Night Before Jesus Came'written by Unknown Author 'Twas the night before Jesus came and all through the house Not a creature was praying, not one in the house. Their Bibles were lain on the shelf without care In hopes that Jesus would not come there. The children were dressing to crawl into bed. Not once ever kneeling or bowing a head. And Mom in her rocker with baby on her lap Was watching the Late Show while I took a nap. When out of the East there arose such a clatter. I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash, Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash! When what to my wondering eyes should appear But angels proclaiming that Jesus was here. With a light like the sun sending forth a bright ray I knew in a moment this must be THE DAY! The light of His face made me cover my head It was Jesus! returning just like He had said. And though I possessed worldly wisdom and wealth, I cried when I saw Him in spite of myself. In the Book of Life which He held in His hand Was written the name of every saved man. He spoke not a word as He searched for my name; When He said "it's not here" my head hung in shame. The people whose names had been written with love He gathered to take to His Father above. With those who were ready He rose without a sound. While all the rest were left standing around. I fell to my knees, but it was too late; I had waited too long and thus sealed my fate. I stood and I cried as they rose out of sight; Oh, if only I had been ready tonight. In the words of this poem the meaning is clear; The coming of Jesus is drawing near. There's only one life and when comes the last call We'll find that the Bible was true after all!
How many of us hear that at weddings nowadays? I remember hearing it at mine. Marriage is supposed to be a symbol of the relationship between Chirst and His church, yet with so much divorce today, how is it related? My husband and I are celebrating our 11th year of marriage today. No, it hasn't been easy at times, but God has brought us together, and no one can separate us! It is my prayer for everyone here on JCFaith who is married to have a marriage that truly symbolizes the relationship between Christ and His Church. I pray that my own marriage is that way. May God bless all marriages today! Teresa
I am just praising the Lord today. He has been doing so much lately, and it's all been so good. About a month ago, my mother had a stroke. I posted a prayer request on here, and had people pray for her. There was no major disability to her life. It just affected her speech some. She is even getting better with that! My friend, Kristin (known on here as PastorKristin) had some health issues going on. The doctors thought she had diabetes, and it turns out she really doesn't! I have been looking for a job for quite some time, and the Lord opened a door for me! My aunt and uncle live in Tonasket, WA, and just a couple days ago, there was a wildfire burning about 1 and 1/2 miles away from their home. My family and I prayed, and yesterday, the fire was 50% contained. It didn't touch their property! Thanks be to the Lord for Who He is, and what He's doing on my life! Teresa
I don't know about anyone else, but I believe that God is calling forth a Breakthrough Time for the Church. Lately, in my dreams, I have been seeing spiritual warfare taking place, and I have been literally warring in the spirit in my sleep! A question was going through my mind about this, because I didn't know whether God was showing me about things that were going to come about in the future, such as being prophetic, or whether it was taking place presently. Well, I shared what was happening with a good friend of mine, and she felt as if the Lord was telling me that it is taking place right now in the Spirit. This friend also told me that God was about to bring a breakthrough in my life. I got up in front of Church yesterday and shared this, as our Pastor asked if anyone had a testimony. After me, a man got up and shared that he has been going through just the "things" of life, and he was asking God why he was going through it all. He said he felt as if God told him the exact same thing...that it's BREAKTHROUGH TIME! Friends, that was such a special confirmation for me, and I believe that God wants to do this for EVERYONE who may be going tough times, or for anyone who just wants more of him! I believe God wants to bring BRAKTHROUGH in our finances! I beliebe God wants to bring BREAKTHROUGH in our families and marriages! I believe God wants to bring BREAKTHROUGH in our emotions! I believe God wants to bring BREAKTHROUGH in our praise and worship! I believe god wants to bring BREAKTHROUGH in our physical bodies! I believe God wants to bring BREAKTHROUGH in our spirit! Friends, it's BREAKTHROUGH TIME! Receive what God has for you today!
I have a little 7-year-old son who is in 1st grade. Yesterday, he had a spelling bee at his school. He made the Top Ten, and we are so proud of him! This brings to mind something about how we can teach teach our children to keep Christ at the center of their lives. Chucky, our son, was SO happy that he placed in the Top Ten, but my husband and I wanted to remember that it was God that helped him to do well in the spelling bee. We saw one boy that took it extremely hard when he missed a word, and we really don't want Chucky going through that, should his opportunity come for misspelling a word in the up-coming rounds. I know that pride and confidence are important in a child's life, especially since they were SO important to Jesus: "Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these'" (Matthew 19:14, NIV). But having a HEALTHY sense of pride and confidence is what is important. I don't think it hurts to compliment a child when he/she does something well, but we must ALL remember WHO helps us do things well! God Bless all parents on here! Teresa
