Bible Conferences are Awesome
Posted On 01/21/2007 19:59:20

Last weekend, I went as a chaperone with our youth group to Pigeon Forge, TN for the Smokey Mountain Bible Conference that Scott Dawson puts together. I don't know if you have ever attended one of these events, but they are awesome. 4 sessions with 4 wonderful speakers and 2 awesome concerts and last but not least, one awesome worship leader.

The theme of the weekend was The Power of One. Saturday night, Charlie Hall(and his friends) opened up with some praise and worship, then Mark Cahill came spoke on The Power of One Moment , and later that evening Skillet delivered an awesome concert! Sunday morning, Charlie and friends did some more praise and worship, told us how his not a morning person(I deeply sympathiz with him) and then Scott Dawson came out and spoke about The Power of One Message. We then broke for lunch and the celebration of our two new brothers in Christ, Jeremy and Steven. For our afternoon off, we went to Gatlinburg and walked/shopped the main street, then we went to this go cark place and the teens all road go carts, then we went to this place call the Apple Barn. Apples are the specialty, food was had and we were all asking for forgiveness for the overindulgence that we experienced. Sunday night, Charlie Hall did somemore singing and then Rick Ousley spoke(wonderfully!) on The Power of One Vision and following him The Afters gave us a concert(these guys are so sweet!) On Monday morning we packed up and went to final session one of my favorite speakers, Dave Edwards spoke about The Power of One Decision. This guy is good. So go hear him speak somewhere! Then we headed home.

Fun times, more to come! Crystal

It is almost the new year! I can not believe how fast the year has it has come and gone! I reckon, "all good things must come to an end"! I must say that I have had a pretty good year.

I turned another year older, my brother got married on my birthday, I now have a sister in law, we've had 4 wonderful foster babies in our home who have been united with their forever family, I went on an interview for a pretty large lawfirm and I survived it(I didn't get the job, but it was great experience and a huge leap of faith for me!)

I spent two weeks in Savannah for World Changers and loved every minute of it. I developed a friendship over the phone/email, with a guy that my cousin goes to church with.

God has truely given me peace with being a female, single, Christian, amoungest many married friends and church people.

My relationship with the Lord has grown throughout the year and that makes me feel fabulous.

I'm thankful for all of my friends that I have!

God Bless! Crystal

So lately I feel like people don't care to hear what I have to say or care to be around me. It's rather annoying to feel this way. It's like my presence burden's people. I was looking at pictures today and I couldn't help but feel like in that moment I felt so distant from everyone.  Arrgh! I hate feeling this way!!!Cry
