After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying "Allelula! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God! Revelations 19:11 Your emotions and circumstances don't change the fact that our God still reigns supreme.
I have a great and awesome God! I have learned that He hears us when we cry and answers us if we listen. It might not always seem like he does but you have to listen with your heart and not try to keep God on your schedule. Another thing is He might just not answer you the way you always want but hey He sees things looking at the bigger picture. Sometimes He says no to what we ask for but that does not mean He doesn't Love us. He heals still these days but the way He heals us is not always the way we expect Him to do so. Don't put Him in a box! I think of the songs we sing that tells us how He loves. Remember the next time you pray that you thank Him for what he has blessed you with it will astound you. Don't just pray and start off with your request but really thank Him for He has done for you. It will bless you so much. I have alot that has happened as of late to my family but the worst is to my mom who has cancer but thru it all she keeps telling me she has prayed and she trust the Lord with her very life. She said what ever the Lord does she will thank Him for it. She has helped me alot with my faith. One thing I have learned is that if this is her time to die I will rejoice cause she will be in my Father's arms. That is not to say I will not be sad to not hear her voice on the phone or feel her hug when I see her but I will know I will see her again and know that she will be singing up in heaven with her beautiful voice that I have loved to hear when I was younger. Another thing that I have learned the Lord heals in different ways sometimes it is in His way of helping us deal with the loss of those we love. Yeah he does physically heal those who are sick. But all I want from my Lord is what is in His perfect will.
Declares Faith (1-3) 1.The Lord is my light and my salvation---whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life---of whom shall I be afraid? 2. When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attaci me, they will stumble and fall. 3. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though the war break out against me, even then will I be confident. Describing life with the Lord(4-12) 4. One thing I ask of the Lord, this what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. 5. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle an set me high upon a rock. 6. Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the Lord. 7. Hear my voice when I call, O Lord; be merciful to me and answer me. 8. My heart says to you, "Seek his face!" Your face, Lord, I will seek. 9. Do not hide your face from me, do not turn your servant away in anger, you have been my helper. Do not reject me or forsake me, O God my Savior. 10. Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me. 11. Teach me your way, O lord; lead me in the straight path because of my oppressors. 12. Do not turn me over to the desires of my foes, for false witnesses rise up against me, breathing out violence. Difference Faith make in life(13-14) 13. I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. 14. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:1-14 &nb sp;
What do you depend on? Do trust in the Lord or do you decide for self? Is your life easy or hard? Well I believe if we trust in ourselves wholy we are in for trouble! I know that the Lord has a better view on our life and where it will lead. Some times it seems that the Lord is not listening but he is he just has his own time table. He sometimes allows things to happen to us when we dont listen to him to help us get to a point where we come to him and release the problem into his hands. He wants all of heart not just a part of it. He wont take hold of our life we have to release it to him. Dont be stuborn and hold on to your problems just give them to him and find peace in that he will work them out. I know that sounds too simple but then whenever I have tried to work things out on my own I have found out that it just gets worse the momment i just let it go to him it works out so much better. But you have to listen for his directions the only way to do that is to pray and read his word and meditate on it. He knows what is best for us. Trust him he didnt let the ones we read about in the bible as long as they listened to him and did what he said. So it might be your time to step out of his way and work out those silly pesky little problems that plague your life. And even those big ones that are life or death problems. He is a big God and the word impossible is not in his vocabulary.
This a poem I got in my Sunday school paper and it was good so I thought I would add it here. My prayer by doris hier Lead me along the path aright, and keep me night and day. Be my friend and guiding light, so that I may walk your way. Show me the way to be a friend and love people everywhere, that I might serve You to the end by showing all that I care. And when my life on earth is o'er, and I've done all that I can do; lead me through heaven's door to spend eternity with You.
Recently we have been studying Hebrews in bible studies on Wednesdays. It is a very good study. One of areas that this study has given me is a more understanding of God's love for us. He says that like are earthly families he loves us but his love surpasses our earthly families. He tell us in hebrew 12:5-6 that he we need to take encouragement in that he does discipline us because he does love us. He doesn't want us to do things that are not in his will for us. And with the discipline is his way of treating as his sons and daughters. He does that so that we can be holy. Discipline is not pleasant at the time it is happening but what peace it gives us when we have gone thru it and what blessing we receive when we learn from it. Take heart He does love us and wants us to go to live him one day that is why he is still working on us. We are the clay and he is the potter and what precious vessel we will be when he is done and we have yielded our lives to him in everything.
What is in your heart? Is it the love of God? I know that it is more important than what is in your wallet! I get further with the Love that comes from God than what is in my wallet. I feel safer and happier as well. I may that have money to burn but that loves grows instead of depletes everytime I give it away. You can't say about that green stuff in your wallet. Just remember the next time you spend what is in your wallet for something you think will make you happy for a short time that when you give out the love that is in your heart the Lord blesses you more and gives you more peace of mind than any ole thing you can get from the store.
I Saw Jesus Last Week. He was wearing blue jeans and an old shirt. He was up at the church building; He was alone and working hard. For just a minute he looked a little like one of our church members. But it was Jesus, I could tell by his smile.
I saw Jesus last Sunday. He was teaching a Bible class. He didn't talk real loud or use long words, But you could tell he believed what he said. For just a minute, he looked like my Sunday School teacher. But it was Jesus, I could tell by his loving voice.
I saw Jesus yesterday. He was at the hospital visiting a friend who was sick. They prayed together quietly. For just a minute he looked like our pastor. But! It was Jesus, I could tell by the tears in his eyes.
I saw Jesus this morning. He was in my kitchen making my breakfast He then fixed me a special lunch to take with me. For just a minute he looked like my Mom. But it was Jesus, I could feel the love from his heart
I saw Jesus today. He was praying on his knees all alone. He then began to cry for those he prayed for. For just a minute he looked like a lady from our church. But it was Jesus, I could see the compassion poured out of his prayer.
I saw Jesus the other day. He was at the grocery store talking to a friend. He then put his arms around them to comfort them. For just a minute he looked like a young mother in our ladies class. But it was Jesus, I co! Uld see the concern for others who hurt.
I see Jesus everywhere, Taking food to the sick, Welcoming others to his home, Being friendly to a newcomer And for just a minute I think he's someone I know But it's always Jesus, I can tell by the way he serves.
May someone see Jesus in you today. Remember to encourage those you see living for Jesus! Show others around you Jesus cause they need to see him in our actions and reactions.
Happy Valentine's Day to all! Love all brothers and sisters! May the Love of God fill your hearts!
