Hi everyone! I went and had my test on Friday morning. It turned out to be a Cat scan instead of a MRI. I got into the room about 8:30 and didnt get out until about 10:30. The test itself only took 10 minutes. Little did I know, but I was going to have to have an IV so that they could put dye into my chest, so they could see what my lungs were doing. Anyway I had been fasting since midnite and that made it difficult for them to find a vein. They tried the bend of my left arm, then my hand, then the bend of my right arm. They thought they had it with my right arm, but just as the dye was going in, my vein blew out. So they went back to my left arm and finally got it on the side of my arm. Talk about feeling like a human pin cushin. Anyway it would have been alot easier if I could have drank some water. Well I got my results from the test, and the spot was caused by something that I had inhaled that had crystalized in my lungs. They told me it could also be caused by birds or chickens. I raise cockatiels, and I have raised them for about 6 yrs now. I guess I am going to have to sell all my birds eventually. They told me that the spot will eventually go away and it was nothing for me to worry about. Thank you Jesus!! Thanks everyone for your prayers! I went to church for the 1st time in a month. It was good. I got tired out alittle bit and had to take my inhaler when I tried to sing. I will have to stay off the praise team for maybe another week I hope. I plan on trying to get back to work this Wednesday. I just am praying for my strength and breath to come back. Well Thanks so much for all your prayers for me! God bless you all!
Hi... Well its a new day and a new month. Its high time I got busy with my blog. So far this year has brought some crazy stuff my way. 1st we have had some crazy weather, with ice storms and snow. Even today my kids are home for yet another snow day. I dont know how the district is going to make them up? I do love the snow, it is so beautiful to watch. I just hate to drive in it. I havent been to church in what seems like a month due to me being sick and the church being closed due to winter weather. I miss it terribly. 2 weeks ago I got sick with a sore throat, and then it went up into my head and I had all the sneezing and sniffling. I think I blew my nose 1000 times that weekend. Well it went right into my chest and has been there eversince. I went to the doctor and I found out I have pneumonia. I have been fighting it almost 2 weeks now. I went back to the doctor last Friday and I had a chest x-ray and a shot. I am not sure if it really helped or not. On the x-ray he saw that the pneumonia had gone into both lungs. I have been in bed for quite a while now, trying to get over this crud. Well my doctor called me and said they found a "spot" on my x-ray that they were concerned with. I wants me to have a MRI/CT scan. Well my appointment is tomorrow morning. Its amazing how the Devil can put the worst thoughts in your head. He had me bawling and thinking the worst and it hasnt even been verified what it is. I consider myself to be a strong Christian lady, and I am always there for everyone trying to lift them up and just being an encouragement and blessing to them. I felt like I crumbled really fast with this dilema. Does that make me any less of a Christian? No. It just means this is a test of the emergency broadcast system...if it were an actual emergency God would have told you. Did my faith faulter... yes. I let Satan tell me lies to get me all worried and worked up over this. I feel like this is going to be all for God's Glory! He is testing my faith. I know that God has alot more for me to do. I am going to keep singing, and I am going to keep on leading the women at my church. God put me in this position and I am going to keep doing what he wants me to do. Has this taught me a lesson? Yes! Keep faith in God!! God is my physician and my provider. I am his child, and he will take care of me. I am not worried, I know I will get better, and I will be a walking testemony thru all of this. Its amazing who God puts in your path when you are down and out, and letting the Devil beat you up. I called my job and told them I wouldnt be in this week and I ended up getting a awesome most unexpected sermon from my pal De. God used her to tell me what I needed to hear. She was a willing vessel, and when I was freaking out and crying my head off, she calmed me and reassured me with words from God. I appreciated that sooo much! (I love you De). My husband even had a peace about it. He said they arent going to find anything. I believe that! I had confirmation from 4 other friends that it would be nothing, so I am standing on Gods word, and I have a peace about it and I am healed in Jesus name! Also thru this week my Pastors Wife has blessed us with food almost this entire week. She has taken time to make meals for us. She doesnt realize what a ministry that is in itself. She looks at it as she wanted to cook something for us and she enjoyed doing it. I pray God will bless her 1000 times over for the meals she has brought to us. Well I will let you know about the MRI/CTscan. Expect there to be nothing! God bless, and until next time, keep the faith!

Rest. Rest. Rest in God's love. The only work you are required now to do is to give your most intense attention to His still, small voice within.

More Sure Than The World
Read Psalm 102:12-28
Have you heard the phrase, "It's as sure as the world"? In fact, nothing is more unsure than the world. "Of old You laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands. They will perish, but You will endure" (vv. 25,26). The "sure" world will perish. Jesus said, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away" (Matt. 24:35). What is the surest thing in your life? On what are you building your life? You'd better be building it on the Lord; He's the only One who is sure.
Jesus always is the same. "But You are the same, and Your years will have no end" (v. 27). Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. God has made this universe, and everything around us looks so certain. We are so sure of the way things work. We can send people from the earth to the moon. God's universe is precisely crafted, but He says that all of this will perish.
What should you do, knowing that you live in a temporary world? Trust God, who is sure. Pray to Him. "He shall regard the prayer of the destitute, and shall not despise their prayer" (v. 17). Trust His Word and praise Him. Prayer and praise go together. "This will be written for the generation to come, that a people yet to be created may praise the Lord" (v. 18).
* * *
Many people foolishly build their entire lives on the cracked foundations of this world and will one day perish with it. But God is changeless and eternal. He wants you to build your life on Him. When you pray, praise Him for His creation and for His work in your life.
Thirsty and Teachable
Psalms 143–145, 1 Corinthians 14:21–40
Key Verse: Psalm 143:10
Sometimes the problem isn't with knowing what to do but with doing it. In Psalm 143 David prays not only to know God's will but to do it. "Show me the way I should go," he prays (v. 8), and then asks, "Teach me to do your will (v. 10)." Far too often our problem is with failing to do God's will.
Earlier in the psalm David describes his soul as longing for God like a parched land. As dry ground thirsts for moisture, David's soul thirsts for God. There is a connection with what he says in verse 6 about his thirst and his prayer to be teachable in verse 10. The thirsty soul will be teachable.
We need to keep our souls thirsty. That is done by keeping a proper attitude. When we feel satisfied spiritually, we will not be thirsty. It is tempting to stay spiritually anemic if we are satisfied with our spiritual condition. But the proper attitude is one that longs for more of God. Then when our souls are thirsty, we will be teachable.
If we are spiritually satisfied, no more is wanted—we are neither thirsty nor teachable. Stay thirsty!
Examine your heart, asking, "Do I thirst for God?" If not, ask God to make you a thirsty and teachable Christian.
Daily Christian Wisdom
Joy can only be real only if people look upon their life as a service, and have a definite object in life outside themselves and their personal happiness.

Don't Stop Praising
Read Psalm 103:1-5
I wonder how long we could talk to the Lord without asking for something. "Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits" (vv. 1,2). Psalm 103 has no requests. It is nothing but praise; David is blessing the Lord.
What are some of these benefits David sings about? They are ones we may have forgotten or that we may be taking for granted. First, the Lord saves. "Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases" (v. 3). The last part of that statement is an illustration of the first part. He forgives all our iniquities in the same way He heals the human body. Often in the Bible, sin is compared to sickness, and salvation is compared to health. God brings saving health to our souls.
Second, He keeps. "Who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies" (v. 4). He keeps us and protects us from the destruction around us. He puts a crown on our heads and makes us kings.
Third, He satisfies. "Who satisfies your mouth with good things" (v. 5). In fact, David says God so satisfies us that our youth is renewed like the eagle's. The eagle molts, loses its old feathers, gets a new coat and soars again.

Do you pray to God for the sole purpose of praising Him ? You have much for which to praise Him, for His love and care never cease. He saves, keeps and satisfies you. Never take God for granted; always take time to praise Him.
A Puzzle for Darwin
On the sixth day, God created the platypus. And God said: Let's see the evolutionists try and figure this one out.
Afraid of the Dark
A little boy was afraid of the dark. One night his mother told him to go out to the back porch and bring her the broom.
The little boy turned to his mother and said, "Mama, I don't want to go out there. It's dark."
The mother smiled reassuringly at her son. "You don't have to be afraid of the dark," she explained. "Jesus is out there. He'll look after you and protect you."The little boy looked at his mother real hard and asked, "Are you sure he's out there?"
"Yes, I'm sure. He is everywhere, and he is always ready to help you when you need him," she said.
The little boy thought about that for a minute and then went to the back door and cracked it a little. Peering out into the darkness, he called, "Jesus? If you're out there, would you please hand me the broom?"
