The Cry Against Violence! VIOLENCE! VIOLENCE! Oh the violence in the world today.
Matthew 24:12
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
In the last days, because love shall become cold between people in general, hate shall arise its ugly head above love so drastically that love won't be recognizable! Why! Why will it become this way? What will be the reason for this drastic change?
"News Flash"!! Because people will begin to turn their backs on Jesus! Not because of racism, not because of nation against nation, not because of lust or pride or envy!!!! It will simply be because of; Losing Their first Love! Jesus!
Revelation 2
1Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
2I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
3And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
4Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
Point! The lost love is not in the world! No! But in the Church!!! This is the main reason for the lost love in the world!
I know many out there will not agree with me on this subject! But, the truth is in the pudding! So many false prophets have gone out in the world today, and so many churches being raised up with many different names. Yet, know absolutely nothing about the truth of the Gospel, or the love of Jesus! New doctrines, New standards, etc...! What is the truth? Many are even asking; "What is truth?" There has been so many changes in the word of God, in the standards, in the doctrines, and the list goes on and on!
Job 24:2
Some remove the landmarks; they violently take away flocks, and feed thereof.
The old landmarks has been removed, the old truth, LOVE has been removed from the equation.
I know, sometimes when I am cooking a pot of soup, i have certain ingredients that I add to make the taste just so. I have cooked the same soup and not be missing only one ingredient, and it has such a bland taste!
It is the same as in the Church world today! So many to choose from, so many to fit our desires, so many to satisfy the flesh. This comes from the removal of certain landmarks, ingredients, etc...!
The return of the Lord is sure! He will come as a thief in the night, in our unawares, when we least expect it! Will we be ready? Will the Lord find the Love in place that is needed to show forth the true word of God in Love!
It is the lack of Love that is causing the violence of the world today! But the Lord knew this would come, therefore He reminded us, that it is inevidible that He must come back after His Church! Which Church is the church that he will receive to Himself? The Church that is full of love and mercy!
Hebrews 10:37-38
37For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
38Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. When Christ returns, will He find a Church that is living by Faith, and standing on Love? This is what the Lord will return to find to take back to the Kingdom of Heaven! 1 Corinthians 13 1Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
4Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
9For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
11When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
13And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. Charity: Love! This is what is needed in the world today to take away the violence that is lurking around every corner. I pray that all will ponder the scriptures that are in this article, and message from heaven! God is coming back after a church that is without spot and blameless! Peter 3:14
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. This is what Jesus will be looking for when he returns! Not the anme of your church, not the title that you wear, not the position that we may have in the church. The Lord is coming back after a people that will serve Him with Faith and Love, which brings forth the Peace of God! Hallelujah! AMEN! Evangelist Carter Stewart
&nb sp; &nb sp; God Or Man? Acts 4:19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. Many times we find ourselves tied up with the order of Amen made laws and by-laws, covenants,and rules, creeds and standards of the creeds, yet we leave out the main ingredient to the why we are what we are!
But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. I Corn. 15:10
We are what we are only by the grace of God! Not not according to Brother, Sister, Pastor, and so on. I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me!
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Phillipians 4:13 Who are we to write these laws and by-laws and standards, and then force them on man, that is serving the Almighty God, Jesus Christ? What gives us that right? No matter if these rules, laws, covenants, by-laws, standards or creeds are from many generations ago, we must obey God first! What is our Law and standard? What is our creed or covenant to follow? It is nothing less than the word of God! The Bible! Why do we need new rules etc..., when the Word of God has always worked for the Brothers and Sisters of old? Why do we seek for something better or more fitting? The only reason is to satisfy the flesh! God did not set this thing up to rewrite the laws or commandments! He gave us these words, just as He gave them to Adam and Eve back in the garden of Eden! Yet, because someone or something came through and said, " if you eat of the fruit of this tree you will be made whole, and you will be as smart as God! And then, just as now, men are still falling for the lies, and deceptions of the enemy of our soul! Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. Micah 7:7 None of us needed covenants, creeds, laws, or by-laws, rules and regulations on the day that the Lord Jesus saved us from our sins! Jesus did the work without the rules of man! He came down in all of His Glory, Died on the cross of Calvary, went into hell, took back the keys to the the kingdom, and resurrected on the third day, appeared to the disciples and ascended to Heaven! He needed no approval of man to do this, He did it through the power of the only begotten of the Father! Hallelujah!
God does not need us to rewrite the Bible, just to obey it! I have been in churches that would not allow me to be a part of the working of the Lord because I would not go along with, or, agree with the covenant, standard, dress codes, creeds, or doctrines!
Yet, today I stand a free man, in Jesus Christ, because I choose to follow God way instead of mans! Let us each and everyone return to the old landmarks of salvation, and worship towards the Lord.
1If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the LORD, return unto me: and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, then shalt thou not remove. 2And thou shalt swear, The LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory. 3For thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns. 4Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings. Jeremiah 4:1-4. I praise my God today because, his word says, "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, There is Liberty"! Hallelujah!!!!!!! Love and Prayers, Pastor Carter Stewart
Our needs are only a knee print away, therefore, kneel at His feet, and stand on His word!
Receiving the Things of the Spirit! John 3:6 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. I Corn. 2:14 14But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Flesh is Flesh, Spirit is Spirit! Everybody has flesh, but not everyone has the Spirit! Flesh-Natural Man. Cannot receive the things of the Spirit. They are foolishness to him. The natural, (Non-Spiritual Man), Does not nor cannot accept or admit in his heart, the gifts, teaching or the Revelation of Spirit of God. Nor can he understand the things of the Spirit, because they are spiritually discerned, (I Corn 2:14). Proverbs 7:7 7And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding, Don't get confused or frustrated when the world doesn't understand our message, lifestyle, or even our church! Sometimes when the flesh-man begins to criticize us, making mockery of us, we must be careful not to get upset to the point of allowing a question in our minds concerning , or considering their ways! You see, they say these things because they are not spiritually minded! Therefore they do not understand what we see or live in the Spirit. Hallelujah!!! I Corn. Chpt. 12 1Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. 2Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. 3Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. 4Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. 7But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. 12For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. 13For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 14For the body is not one member, but many. 15If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 16And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 17If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? 18But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. 19And if they were all one member, where were the body? 20But now are they many members, yet but one body. 21And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. 22Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: 23And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. 24For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked. 25That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. 26And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. 27Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. 28And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. 29Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? 30Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? 31But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way. Matt. 16:13-17 (Oneness) 13When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 14And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. 15He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. Lets take Baptism for instance. Baptism is not for the membership of a church roll, or the joining a church. But!! It is for the remission, removal or the washing away of sins. Amen? It is not something that can be seen with natural eye, yet, it is something that can be felt in the Spirit Realm! Praise to my Jesus!!! We are then; Justified (made righteous by God), Sanctified (Set apart from sin, and set aside for God), not just partially, but totally sold-out and consecrated to Him! But this can only be achieved through the Spirit! Not the flesh! Hallelujah!!! The natural man cannot understand the power of the message of Acts 2:38. Acts 2:38 38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Flesh doesn't understand the word "Holiness", does not desire to be holy, (because it works against the flesh), and that takes away from their lifestyle of conforming to the world! Ro. 12:1-2. We cannot be Holy without the Holy Ghost in our lives!We operate under the unction of the 9 gifts of the Spirit. I Corn. 12:8. The natural man cannot accept the power of: Miracles, (yet they still happen!! Today!!), Heeling's, (Because they are supernatural happenings), Tongues, (Divers kinds of tongues), Namely, (1) Initial evidence of the receiving the Holy Ghost. (2) Prayer and Worship. (3) Gift of tongues and the interpretation of tongues! Again, this is a spiritual action, it "CANNOT" be understood in the flesh, because it is spiritually discerned! Remember; Do not be upset when men, (flesh-men), begin running down the church, the message we preach or what we stand for! Amen??? Instead, remember this, God has poured out His spirit on us, our obedience, that is why we understand; The doctrine. The message. And, accept Holiness lifestyle. Praise be to the name of the Lord Jesus! So, if we go to a revival, and we see people being prayed for, whether it be sickness, deliverance, salvation etc... We should see signs and miracles following! Amen!! God's Blessings on All, Pastor Carter Stewart &nb sp;
LOVE AND COMMITMENT Excerpt from Sermon 63
In JOH 4:34 we read, "Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work."
Jesus' whole ministry was to finish the work that the Father had given Him to do. To do the will of the Father was the meat, the purpose, and the intent of the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. In other words in the way of perfect obedience He would thereby fulfill the law with perfection.
Job saw his Saviour's commitment in a prophetic way when he said, "Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food," Job 23:12. The Lord Jesus Christ says this is My meat: to do the will of the Father. What does Job say? He says, "...I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food." The Father was glorified by the Son when Jesus fulfilled all the work that the Father had given Him to do. He laid down His life as an act of obedience.
We see in JOH 10:17-18, "Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father." The Lord Jesus Christ came to do His Father's will in the way of such perfection of obedience. He lay down His life as an act of obedience. It is by this act of obedience that many shall be made righteous, "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous," ROM 5:19. We have obtained that perfect robe of Christ's righteousness by His obedience..."unto death, even the death of the cross," PHI 2:8.
This explains what Jesus was saying, "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled," MAT 5:17-18.
When Jesus was about to finish the work, He prayed in JOH 17:4-5, "I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was." Now the Lord Jesus Christ comes to lay down His life; He is prepared to go upon the cross. How did He glorify the Father? He glorified the Father by finishing the work God gave Him, i.e., laying down His life for His church as an act of obedience.
It was by this perfection of obedience that the Father was so glorified and that the Father's perfect intent of the law was fulfilled; God's purpose for His creation was fulfilled. He had such glory with the Father under that covenant of grace. Christ covenanted that He would come and fulfill the intent of the law. It was in how Jesus finished His work that the Father was so glorified and Jesus returned to glory.
Look at PHI 2:7-8, "But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross." There is where the Father was so glorified in how the Son humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. He gave up all He had. He gave up His Kingly throne. He came down to be mocked, scorned, crucified, and He came to be obedient onto such a death. Jesus says He came to do the will of the Father. The will of the Father was that He should step into death; to glorify His Father by such obedience, thereby completing the work that the Father had given Him to do.
Jesus was completely resigned to the will of the Father. We see that in MAT 26:39, "And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt." When He was sweating drops of blood, when He was under that pressure in that wine press, and the blood of His body was being pressed out through the pores of His skin by the wrath of the Father that was coming upon Him, He says "nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt." He says, "if it be possible, let this cup pass from me," but He was so resigned to the will of the Father. The Father was so glorified by such submission and perfect obedience.
Jesus said to Peter, "Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?" MAT 26:53-54. He was so totally in submission to the will of the Father. Because the Father was so glorified in the Son by such obedience, the Father now glorifies the Son; see the connecting word. "Wherefore..." now the Son is glorified by the Father. "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father," PHI 2:9-11. Amen.
When I survey the wondrous cross, On which the Prince of glory died, My richest gain I count but loss, And pour contempt on all my pride.
Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast, Save in the death of Christ, my God; All the vain things that charm me most, I sacrifice them to His blood.
See, from His head, His hands, His feet, Sorrow and love flow mingled down; Did e'er such love and sorrow meet, Or thorns compose so rich a crown?
Were the whole realm of nature mine, That were a present far too small; Love so amazing, so divine, Demands my soul, my life, my all. Isaac Watts, 1674-1748 --
