Today is rainy. UGH! But it has been an all around nice day for me. It is Thursday meaning 1 more day until the week-end. YEAH!!!! I am happy. I have a nice warm home, nice clothes, good friends, & a sweet little dog, and many other things I need not write down. I am just counting my little blessings. It is nice sometimes to just sit and think about the little things we have to be greatful for. Like you guys here. I am thankful for all of you. I have fun with you and thank all of you are great. Hey one more blessing,no homework!!!! I am wishing all a great eve filled with many little blessings.
Don't Be Afraid Don't be afraid to lift your wings And soar through life each day Find joy and love and happiness As you go along your way. Life is steeped with ups and downs And troubles not so fun Chin up high and shoulders back We meet them one by one. Don't be afraid when sorrow comes The answer is quite clear Get down upon your knees and pray For God is always near God is always near and never to busy to hear. &nb sp; &nb sp; &nb sp; &nb sp;
I have had so many dark clouds,so many trials before me. I kept thinking Lord,how can I go on. You said you would never put any more on us than we could bare? I have been praying for my brother's healing. Alot of you know he has cancer and the diagnosis was 3 months,no hope. I would not,could not accept that. I have had so many prayer warriours,friends,MANY internet friends and ministers praying. Now I can even tell you I fasted and prayed,fasted and prayed. I once knew of a minister that God had given the gift of healing. I went on a search for him. It took me a month to find him. He was in a little church up in the mountains. I took my brother to him. It was a long, rough trip but I could not wait to get there. I felt like it was Christmas. We got to that little mountain church. Oh how I loved it. The people,the children, the atmosphere, you could sure feel Jesus there. It took me back to when I was a child going to old country churches with and Evangelist and his wife. I sang for them. At the end of the service that old minister anointed my brother's forhead with oil. He did not scream and shout,people did not dance and scream but that would have been ok. He quietly,gently touched his chest and that hand started shaking. I remembered years ago how when he touched people that hand would shake. Just that one hand. The shakina(probably spelled wrong)was all over that minister. He almost looked transprarent. Oh I was so thankful. He stepped away and said I feel good about this son. I truly believe a miracle has happened here tonight. Jesus has touched you. Be blessed. After the service,I asked my brother,did you feel anything, he is a brand new lamb and knows absolutely nothing so I knew whatever he told me would be the truth. He was also very quiet and pale. He said Jack, It felt like electricity went thru my body. I was elated. He went for that test. He called for the results and they told him there was no change. I could not understand and I was so concerned for him. Not only for his health but now for his faith. Today he went to that doctor. They had read his tests wrong was what was told to him. The cancer in his lung (the one behind the heart that was inoperable) had shrunk from almost 7 centimeters to 3. They can now do the surgery. Ah. I asked him what he thougt has happened. He said Jesus did it Jackie Jesus did it and he was laughing and crying at the same time. Glory to God in the highest. I said I think we better take another trip to the mountains,so you will not have to go thru a surgery and we both laughed. So all that Satan is putting me thru is nothing compared to the news I got today. NOTHING. With Jesus by my side,together we can go thru the fires. If God can shrink a cancer he can mend a broken heart and take care of a woman and a child. TY all that prayed and cared. God bless. HE IS GOOD.
In our darkest times,when our friends and families have all gone to bed and the hurt and misery will not leave your head CRY OUT TO JESUS for he is your strength. When you say to all please pray for me and they say well of course I will but as you lay there all alone with the pain you realize it is one of those situations where the Lord says Be still CRY OUT TO ME for I am your strength. When it seems there is no way out for you,no way to turn,no answers are there for you CRY OUT TO JESUS for he will walk you thru. JESUS IS YOUR FRIEND,YOUR REDEEMER,YOUR RESCUER,THE ONE THAT WIPES AWAY ALL YOUR TEARS,YOUR HOPE,AND YOUR NOW AND YOUR FUTURE. CAST ALL YOUR WORRIES,FEARS,HURTS,ON HIM. HE IS UP ALL NITE AND READY TO LISTEN AND ACT. THANK YOU MY SAVIOUR MY FRIEND. I WILL LOVE YOU TILL THE VERY END. FOR WITHOUT YOU I HAVE AND AM NOTHING........MY SAVIOUR MY BEST FRIEND.
&nb sp; THE WOMAN AT THE WELL AT SAMARIA She was not shown fit to draw wated from the same well in town with the other ladies due to her bad reputation. She had had many husbands and the man she was with living with at the time was not even her own husband. Some kind of living for those days,huh? She walked out side of town day after day alone to draw her water.She had to be lonely,never having any fellowship with the other woman. No friends to laugh,share, or talk with. One day while she was doing her daily duty at the well,she was surprised. A Jewish man spoke to her. In those days Jews did not speak to Samaritans,and men did not speak to woman in public. Jesus broke barriers of culture,race,and religion. They had some conversation,Jesus asking her for a drink then explaining himself to her. He then told her everything she had done wrong. Now this is the important part to me. She could have taken this two different ways. She could have been insulted and embarrassed,making excuses and telling him to mind his own business. It would have gotten her no where but alot of us take that attitude. However her attitiude was joy. She was elated. She ran all the way back to town. She stopped everyone and told them,""Come see a man who told me everything I ever did!" Her seeing herself for what she had been, her public confessions,and meeting Jesus took the load that the woman had been carrying for along time off her. When we sin trying to keep that sin inside,trying to carry it alone it becomes a terrible load. When we confess and Jesus forgives, it is exciting to feel that load lift off of us. God bless all the Woman at the Well and help them all find their way to Jesus. I pray none never have to walk to that well alone. I pray their will always be a brother or sister to befriend them and help them carry their water jars along the way. Let us never pass up a chance to help someone get to Jesus.
Lot's wife is remembered less for who she was-wife,mother,daughter,sister-than for what she became-a pillar of salt. Just one irresistible but forbidden glance back at what was happening behind her,what she was leaving behind and she turned into salt.One of the most common and most used chemicals. She had only hours to live though she never suspected it. She must have gone about her business as usual tydying the house,cooking,and speaking with her neighbors unaware of the tragedy about to overtake her. Earlier God had promised Abraham he would spare the city of Sodom if he could find only 10 righteous people in it,but not even 10 could he find. God send angels to rescue Lot and his family from the coming destruction. Did God know Abraham was thinking of Lot when he begged for the cities to be spared? Was God's mercy extended to Lot for the love of Abraham or the love of Lot? I do not know but I do know that God's mercy was available for Lot and his family.His mercy is always available to us. In the worst of times, the most difficult situations,and the hardest of circumstances God is there stretching out his hand to lead us to safety. He will show you mercy and have compassion on you Deuteronomy 13:17 GOD HAVE MERCY ON MY SOUL FOREVER AND EVER
Ruth's promise was make to one woman to another. She did not know when she made Naomi that promise that it would eventually become a blessing in her own life. God so delights in seeing us love and bless each other that he turns that blessing and love back to us in double measure. Blessed are the merciful,for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. -Ruth 1:16   ;  A generous man will prosper,he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25 &nb sp;
Think carefully about what you will be reading. This is a new one for me... Mary had a little Lamb, His fleece was white as snow. And everywhere that Mary went, The Lamb was sure to go. He followed her to school each day, T'wasn't even in the rule. It made the children laugh and play, To have a Lamb at school. And then the rules all changed one day, Illegal it became; To bring the Lamb of God to school, Or even speak His Name! Every day got worse and worse, And days turned into years. Instead of hearing children laugh, We heard gun shots and tears. What must we do to stop the crime, That's in our schools today? Let's let the Lamb come back to school, And teach our kids to pray!
Our accomplishments will ultimately reflect not what values we proclaim,but what values we live. We are most successful when our accomplishments match our values. "Jesus loves the little children,all the children of the world,red,yellow,black,or white,they are precious in his site. Jesus loves the little children of the world." FAHTER GOD HAVE MERCY ON OUR YOUTH. AND JESUS SAID,"Father forgive them for they no not what they do."
Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. - Isaiah 40:31 NIV ( My favorite scripture) Even when it seems that your responsibilities are simply to great to bear, you and God, working together can handle them. So focus, not upon the difficulties of your circumstances, but instead upon God and upon His love for you. Then, ask Him for the strength that you need to fulfill your daily duties. When you turn your thoughts and prayers to your Heavenly Father, He will give you the energy and the perspective to complete the most important items on your to-do-list. And then, once you’ve done your best, leave the rest up to God. He can handle it…and will. You, therefore, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. - 2 Timothy 2:1 The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation. - Exodus 15:2 (I sing to you my Lord) Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. - Matthew 11:28-30 ( Thank you Jesus) Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by His vast strength. - Ephesians 6:10 (every day he renews and refreshes our strength) When we spend time with Christ, He supplies us with strength and encourages us in the pursuit of His ways. – Elizabeth George (Strength and encouragement, I am thankful Lord, I will forever sing your praises)
