THIS IS SOMETHING THAT WAS SENT TO ME BY A WONDERFUL, DEAR FRIEND... I THANK GOD FOR HER; EACH DAY. SHE'S A WONDERFUL WOMAN OF GOD AND IS ALWAYS HAPPY TO PRAY FOR ANYBODY; EVEN AS MANY TIMES AS SHE'S PRAYED FOR ME, MY HUSBAND AND THE REST OF MY FAMILY. The Secret One day, one friend asked another, "How is it that you are always so happy? You have so much energy, and you never seem to get down."
With her eyes smiling, she said, "I know the Secret!" "What secret is that?" To which she replied, "I'll tell you all about it, but you have to promise to share the Secret with others"
"The Secret is this: I have learned there is little I can do in my life that will make me truly happy. I must depend on God to make me happy and to meet my needs. When a need arises in my life, I have to trust God to supply according to HIS riches. I have learned most of the time I don't need half of what I think I do. He has never let me down. Since I learned that 'Secret', I am happy."
The questioner's first thought was, "That's too simple!" But upon reflecting over her own life she recalled how she thought a bigger house would make her happy, but it didn't! She thought a better paying job would make her happy, but it hadn't. When did she realize her greatest happiness? Sitting on the floor with her grandchildren, playing games, eating pizza or reading a story, a simple gift from God.
Now you know it too! We can't depend on people to make us happy. Only GOD in His infinite wisdom can do that. Trust HIM! And now I pass the Secret on to you! So once you get it, what will you do?
YOU have to tell someone the Secret, too! That GOD in His wisdom will take care of YOU! But it's not really a secret... We just have to believe it and do it... Really trust God!
Just Pass It On! Do your best; let God do the rest.
"If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.
If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it
He sends you flowers every spring.
He sends you a sunrise every morning.
Whenever you want to talk, He listens.
He can live anywhere in the universe, but He chose your heart.
Face it friend, He is crazy about you!
God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.
God bless you and smile God loves you"
Our group started about 8 years ago... at the time, it was my husband, my sister-in-law, 2 nephews and me. The group at the time was called 4-ever Faithful (there was only 1 nephew when we first started). We were singing only at churches at the time. A year or 2 later, the church broke up and my husband, a friend, my sister-in-law and I still sang... we started singing at nursing homes, benefit concerts, etc... Shortly thereafter, my sister-in-law had to stop singing due to her health. My husband and I went to NC to do missionary work with inner-city children for 4 years. We just recently moved back to SC. When our friend got married, her husband joined our group; they'd been singing while we were in NC. But, the 4 of us are still singing for our Lord and I know that through thick and thin, God put us together for a reason. We have "all sinned and come short of the Glory of God" and anybody who believes they are sinless is just not being real to themselves. People have to forgive in the NAME OF JESUS. If they do not forgive, they will not be forgiven of their sins. The reason I say this is due to some people not liking the people we sing with due to their past particular sins; which have been forgiven.
God gave me a vision about 8 months ago while I was driving down the road. I saw a 2 1/2 story house, 2 horses, a mobile home in the back yard, a gravel road and that the house was in an area that was kind of out of the way. He told me that this would be used in His name for male teens at risk and the mobile home would be used for pregnant teens that had been kicked out of their homes. The horses are to be used for therapy for the male teens at risk. There's a lot more to the "story," though. The reason I say "at risk" is due to the fact that these kids are at risk for going to jail or getting into so many worldly things that they shouldn't. My oldest son has been in and out of jail since he was 15 and he's 21 now; serving a 12 year sentence. We want to help teens before they reach this point. We're raising his 2 year old son; which the biological mother has hardly seen... didn't come on Mother's day, Easter, to his 2 year old b-day party, didn't come when he had tubes/adenoids surgery, or since then, but to her credit... she did call sometimes. My husband (who is also a youth pastor) and I want to get this ministry off the ground, but we know it's in God's time. If you wish, you could go to the beginnings of our website... it's www.missionmax.org/houseofhopeministries.
Also, if there is anybody who would like to donate to this non-profit organization, please let me know. We'd appreciate your help. There are a lot of things we need; either donated or bought.
Thanks & please pray for us.
