Leaving to follow
Posted On 05/26/2007 08:30:03
To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.

1 Peter 2:21

Looking back, the side mirror reflects a sunset bluntly showing me how this life is to set from its past leaving yesterday.

The front part allows me to have a vision of tomorrow and how it's going to look like.

Everything elemental is vague. But one thing is set, I am following the one who left first-- Jesus Christ. This step of faith is for Him.

Leaving for a year would mean to follow, to have myself trained for a better way of following.
Kudos to Jesus Christ for setting the example of having to leave as a form of sacrifice.

His leaving was the greatest, it had to undergo a bloody stage on a human-designed wood. So to myself, it's not as difficult as Christ's but the promises are great as it comes from the One and Only.

"Thank you God for enabling me to follow despite the circumstances. Thanks for those who always encouraged me to take this step of faith. Thanks to my family who never resisted this calling. Thanks to the partners who caught the vision of reaching the youth of this generation. Most of all, thank you Jesus Christ for setting the example."

God bless everyone! To come back with full force, that's God's plan so see you all!

NARUTO:best episode so far (on TEAM)
Posted On 05/08/2007 20:38:12

I know NARUTO has reached its other book and way far from the first episode already but I just started watching so let me just share to you my favorite episode so far.

WARNING: cheesy at some point (Hehehehe)

Episode 15 illustrates how a team works especially at times when protecting one another is called for. A very unusual scenario takes place. Sasuke, a timid yet focused ninja-to-be, dislikes working with Naruto, a stubborn yet surprising ninja-to-be. It goes vice versa.

Faced with Haku, well-trained young ninja, the two had to work together to win the battle against him. But Naruto lost his strength in the long run. When Haku noticed that Sasuke was getting stronger, Haku strategized by attacking the weak Naruto finding Sasuke protecting Naruto all along.

Sasuke went on protecting Naruto until he ran out of his own strength for doing such. He placed his life at stake for Naruto and their 'final' conversation went on like this: (POINT: They both dislike working with one another)

Naruto: (feeling pity for seeing Sasuke dying for protecting him) But why? Why did you protect me?
Sasuke: Who knows? My body moved on its own accord.
Haku:(the enemy) We were able to jump into a trap to protect someone important.

Conflicts. We encounter it almost everyday especially personality clashes. (NATURAL)
-- Naruto and Sasuke are classic examples of clashing personalities for no reason, just that.
Hate. We want to believe we hate some people. (PRIDE)
-- Naruto and Sasuke hated each other because they had pride within themselves.
Love. We realize that no matter what most situations dictate, love has grown in the span of time, short or long, we've been with people. (GOD-GIVEN)
-- "My body moved on its own accord." We realize that even if we choose to hate people, grace would even enable us to find ourselves loving them. Sasuke had his share of experience as it was instinctive to protect Naruto despite their conflict.

I say these three things are the 'crystal' elements of a TEAM. When we don't come to a point of seeing these elements occuring as we do teamwork, we can never call it a TEAM then.

IN BRIEF:
In teams, we will encounter conflicts that would bring us to the point of bearing hatred but love would enable us to cancel these things as God's grace comes into the picture.
It is always hard to cancel hatred but when people always bear God's love in their hearts then love to people wouldn't be that hard. In this manner, teamwork is attainable.

I wasn't able to find an ENGLISH version. Pasensya!
oh ! I'm now an official fan oh no!but it's a good thing i believe hahaha

disheartening dumping system!
Posted On 04/26/2007 23:15:51
I came across an ABOUT ME part of a friend's friendster account (Kim's) and found it sensible. It dawned on me, do the officials (from waste mgmt for that matter) know what they're doing?

"Indignant! Indignant that the city ordinance on waste segregation is improperly implemented. While watching those dump trucks at work you ask yourself, "What the hell are the bins for then?" Look! They're giving us all this talk about telling the difference between biodegradable and non-biodegradable wastes, and where to dispose of them appropriately but at the end of it, they pour in the contents of both bins on one dump truck - with no conscious effort of separating them. How disheartening."

A Personal manifesto on VIRGINIA TECH UNIV bloodbath
Posted On 04/23/2007 23:17:07

More than 30 individuals killed. Dozens were injured. April 17, 2007, the day marks media hype on a recent bloodbath at Virginia Tech University.

It is disturbing! This is the kind of story that I would rather pray for than talk about it.

Sunday. My mom called. We talked about a lot of things, my plans, my calling to becoming a campus minister, our expenses at home, etc. Then she brought up this issue. She had a better angle of the darkly painted story.

After all those things took place, a reality was presented. Students can be as disturbed as the gunman mentally and emotionally.

After learning the lessons, a challenge is posed. Students need help.

After knowing the challenge, a response is needed. What is it for you?

Allow me to share my personal manifesto. For the past months I have been immersed to different types of young individuals. It includes the rich kids, the average youngsters, and those with low self-esteem due to their backgrounds. They’re all different but when you get to know them, they have a common denominator. They need guidance.

Walking on the city streets have been a hobby to me lately. I see people around and they commonly pitch this question: “Where are you connected now?” I always tell people the real score in my career and that I will be enrolling to a missions school so that after a year I can come back here and become an official campus minister. Most of their immediate facial expression suggest that they are happy yet surprised knowing my capacity to earn more money in the corporate world. Aware of that, I don’t get bothered with such perception since I am convinced of my calling.

Learning about the incident at Virginia Tech University convinced me even more of this calling. Students can be as disturbed as the gunman mentally and emotionally. Students need help. To have campus ministers fully committed to stand with students side by side would definitely mean something. To have campus ministers leading students to the better path would do posterity a favor. And to respond to my calling of becoming a campus minister would mean responding to the challenge of the darkly painted reality.

This reality can go darker; violence in campuses can go as far as this, even worse. The question remains: what is it for you?

(Personal Bakground: Job used to be a freelance online editor/writer but has given it up since he is developing his missions partnership until June in preparation for his schooling in Every Nation School of World Missions—one year equipping before he officially becomes a campus minister)
