JOHN 3:16 - "FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE."
I JOHN 5:11 - "AND THIS IS THE RECORD, THAT GOD HATH GIVEN TO US ETERNAL LIFE, AND THIS IS LIFE IS IN HIS SON."

* THE BIBLE TEACHES US THAT WE ARE ALL SINNERS? HAVE YOU EVER SAID, DONE OR THOUGHT ANYTHING WRONG?
ROMANS3:10 - "AS IT IS WRITTEN, THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NO NOT ONE."
ROMANS 3:23 - "FOR ALL HAVE SINNED, AND COME SHORT OF TH E GLORY OF GOD;"
GALATIANS 3:22 - "BUT THE SCRIPTURE HATH CONCLUDED ALL UNDER SIN,..."

* REJECTING GOD'S PLAN OF ETERNAL SALVATION WILL KEEP YOU OUT OF HEAVEN?
ROMANS 6:23 - "FOR THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH..."
JAMES 1:15 - "...AND SIN, WHEN IT IS FINISHED, BRINGETH FORTH DEATH."
JOHN 5:40 - "AND YE WILL NOT COME TO ME, THAT YE MIGHT HAVE LIFE."
JOHN 3:18 - "HE THAT BELIEVETH ON HIM IS NOT CONDEMNED: BUT HE THAT BELEIVETH NOT IS CONDEMNED ALREADY, BECAUSE HE HATH NOT BELIEVED IN THE NAME OF THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD."

* BEING HONEST, TRUTHFUL, KIND, COMPASSIONATE, LOVING, GENEROUS, UNSELFISH, TRYING TO KEEP THE TEN COMMANDMENTS AND EVEN GOING TO CHURCH WILL NOT GET YOU INTO HEAVEN?
PROVERBS 14:12 - "THERE US A WAY WHICH SEEMETH RIGHT UNTO A MAN, BUT THE END THEREOF ARE THE WAYS OF DEATH."
ISAIAH 64:6 - "BUT WE ARE ALL AS UNCLEAN THING, AND ALL OUR RIGHTEOUSNESSES ARE AS FILTHY RAGS; AND WE ALL DO FADE AS A LEAF; AND OUR INIQUITIES, LIKE THE WIND, HAVE TAKEN US AWAY."
JAMES 2"10 - "FOR WHOSOEVER SHALL KEEP THE WHOLE LAW, AND YET OFFEND IN ONE POINT, HE IS GUILTY OF ALL."

* YOU, LIKE EVERYONE ELSE, WILL ALL HAVE TO FACE A JUDGMENT DAY?
HEBREWS 9:27 - "AND AS IT IS APPOINTED UNTO MEN ONCE TO DIE, BUT AFTER THIS THE JUDGMENT."
REVELATION 20:12 - "AND I SAW THE DEAD, SMALL AND GREAT, STAND BEFORE GOD; AND THE BOOKS WERE OPENED..."

* GOD LOVES YOU AND HAS MADE A WAY TO HEAVEN THROUGH HIS SON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST?
ROMANS 5:8 - "BUT GOD COMMENDETH HIS LOVE TOWARD US, IN THAT, WHILE WE WERE YET SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR US"
EPHESIANS 2:8,9 - " FOR BY GRACE ARE YE SAVED THROUGH FAITH; AND THAT NOT OF YOURSELF; IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD: NOT OF WORKS, LEST ANY MAN SHOULD BOAST."
ACTS 4:12 - "NEITHER IS THERE SALVATION IN ANY OTHER: FOR THERE IS NONE OTHER NAME UNDER HEAVEN GIVEN AMONG MEN, WHEREBY WE MUST BE SAVED."
ROMANS 6:23 - "...THE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD."

* YOU CAN GO TO HEAVEN, NO MATTER HOW BAD YOUR SIN IS?
MATTHEW 9:13 - "...FOR I AM NOT COME TO CALL THE RIGHTEOUS, BUT SINNERS TO REPENTANCE."
LUKE 19:10 - "FOR THE SON OF MAN IS COME TO SEEK AND TO SAVE THAT WHICH WAS LOST."

WHAT DOES GOD WANT YOU TO DO?
JOHN 1:12 - "BUT AS MANY AS RECEIVED HIM, TO THEM GAVE HE POWER TO BECOME THE SONS OF GOD, EVEN TO THEM THAT BELIEVE ON HIS NAME."
ACTS 16:31 - "FOR WHOSOEVER SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED."

HOW CAN YOU BELIEVE?
ROMANS 10:9,10 - "THAT IF THOU SHALT CONFESS WITH THY MOUTH THE LORD JESUS, AND SHALL BELIEVE IN THINE HEART THAT GOD HATH RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, THOU SHALT BE SAVED. FOR WITH THE HEART MAN BELIEVETH UNTO RIGHTEOUSNESS; AND WITH THE MOUTH CONFESSION IS MADE UNTO SALVATION."

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO SHOW THAT YOU BELIEVE?
YOU CAN SINCERELY PRAY THIS PRAYER AND TELL GOD THAT YOU BELIEVE AND ACCEPT HIS SON AS YOUR SAVIOUR.
DEAR GOD, I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU ARE HOLY, RIGHTEOUS, AND JUST. I CONFESS MY SINFULNESS TO YOU; I HAVE REPEATEDLY BROKEN YOUR LAW AND DESERVE ETERNAL PUNISHMENT. FORGIVE ME FOR MY SINS AND GIVE ME THE GRACE TO TURN FROM MY SELFISHNESS AND REBELLION. THANK YOU FOR TAKING MY PLACE ON THE CROSS AS PUNISHMENT FOR MY SIN. I RECEIVE YOU AS LORD AND SAVIOR. PLEASE GIVE ME THE GRACE TO LIVE THE KIND OF LIFE THAT WE GLORIFY YOU IN ALL THAT I SAY AND DO. IN JESUS' NAME. AMEN.

HOW CAN YOU KNOW THAT YOU GOING TO HEAVEN?
IF YOU HAVE TRULY ACCEPTED THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR PERSONAL SAVIOUR, YOU CAN BE ASSURED THAT YOU ARE GOING TO HEAVEN.
jOHN14:1-3 - "LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED, YE BELIEVE IN GOD, BELIEVE ALSO IN ME, IN MY FATHER'S HOUSE ARE MANY MANSIONS: IF IT WERE NOT SO I WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU. I GO TO PREPARE A PLACE FOR YOU. AND IF I GO AND PREPARE A PLACE FOR YOU, I WILL COME AGAIN, AND RECEIVE YOU UNTO MYSELF; THAT WHERE I AM THERE YE MAY BE ALSO."
JOHN 5:24 - "VERILY, VERILY I SAY UNTO YOU, HE THAT HEARETH MY WORD, AND BELIEVETH ON HIM THAT SENT ME, HATH EVERLASTING LIFE; AND SHALL NOT COME INTO CONDEMNATION; BUT IS PASSED FROM DEATH UNTO LIFE."

HAVE YOU MADE THE RIGHT DECISION?
JOHN 3:36 - "HE THAT BELIEVETH ON THE SON HATH EVERLASTING LIFE; AND HE THAT BELEIVETH NOT THE SON SHALL NOT SEE LIFE; BUT THE WRATH OF GOD ABIDETH ON HIM"
I JOHN 5:13 - "THESE THINGS HAVE I WRITTEN UNTO YOU THAT BELIEVE ON THE NAME OF THE SON OF GOD; THAT YE MAY KNOW THAT YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE, AND THAT YE MAY BELIEVE ON THE NAME OF THE SON OF GOD."

YOU CAN ALWAYS BE ASSURED OF HIS HELP.
HEBREWS 13:5 - "...HE HATH SAID, I WILL NEVER LEAVE THEE, NOR FORSAKE THEE."
MATTHEW 28:20 - "...LO, I AM WITH YOU ALWAY,EVEN UNTO THE END OF THE WORLD."

H4H MINISTRIES

Making it thru brain surgery Part 3
Posted On 11/19/2006 23:04:04

Hi and welcome back!

I was real excited about SC vocational rehab sending me to school to learn a new skill, but I was still looking at several months or more of school and then I would have to find a job in the computer field, and I needed to get some regular income coming in quick! So my local rehab counseler got me a job doing some assembly work at the rehab center to get me accustomed to working a full day again. It was minimum wage and only about 30 hours a week but I needed the money. The good thing was that they had classes to help with your job hunting efforts and even had a data base of local Companies that were looking for help. During this time I found out that the average income in the field I was gonna be trained in was about $20,000 a year LESS than what I made as a truck driver, so I decided to look through the job listing for a position that I thought I might be able to do. Thats where I found a listing for a "Yard Jockey" at a local large retail Drug Chain warehouse (CVS). A yard jockey is the guy who moves empty trailers to the warehouse doors and moves the loaded ones to the staging area for the Truck Drivers to pick up and deliver. Since I had 11 years of experience driving and was even a Truck driving Instructor for a while I decided to check into this job even though it also paid less than what I was used too. So I called Ryder Logistics in Atlanta Ga., who was contracted to CVS handling their trucking business and did a pre-qualifying phone application. The lady I spoke to told me about a job opening in Augusta Ga. that paid about $700 a week, which was about $150 more than the yard jockey job! I told her that yes I am interested so she put mein touch with the Ryder Office in Columbia SC and they emailed me a full application set to fill out. A few days after I sent the Application back, I called to follow up and The Manager asked me what job I was applying for I told him about the Job in Augusta. That's when he told me about the Other job he had available that paid $1000 plus a week with NO weekends, and wanted to know if I was interested. I knew I was a little rusty, but I felt that maybe I could still perform in the trade I knew so well so I told him Yes!

Well the job I was shooting for was Driving a delivery route for Anderson  Windows and Doors based in Bayport Mn. with a Warehouse in Columbia SC. Where I would be running out of!

I would deliver on Monday/Tuesday and Thursday/Friday all over Ga. to Home Depots and other smaller Building Supply Companies . I spent the night out on Tues. night and on Thurs. night . On Sunday all I did was go pick up my Mon/Tues load and on Weds. I pick up my load for Thurs/ Fri load. Sun and Wed were only 3 hour days so it wasen't that bad. I took the job and made on average $1000 a week just as promised and kept it up for 2 years and earned a lot of respect and favor from my Employers. Did I change jobs you may be wondering...no I didn't , I now am employed By Anderson because they asked me to Work for them. I have great benefits, Profit sharing , A Corporate credit card for Hotels and meals (no more sleeping in my truck or paying for my own meals) and a true 4 day work week(Tues- Fri)  they even shuttle my loads to me so I don't even have to go to Columbia any more and I still average $1000 a week!

Was It because of me or what I know? I don't think so!  My God has had his hand in every part of my life and I give Him the Honor, the Glory and ALL the Credit for What He has allowed me to accomplish. MY God is good ALL the time! And If you don't know him like I know him, Please see my next Blog.

I hope my story has been an inspiration to you. I hope to meet you all in Heaven one day!

God bless and I love you all,

Joey

Making it thru brain surgery Part 2

Thanks for "Tuning" in for Part 2 of my story.

Well when I got home I still had 30 days of IV antibotics to deal with as well as an 8 inch row of staples on my head which by the way was a real shock to my system when I first saw them. I still have a staple row on my head above my left ear.
Well anyway, the day after I got home my wife recieved a letter in the mail from her employer informing her that she was being "laid off". Oh great! We thought
I can't work and now my wife is being laid off ! Now what are we going to do?
We went from making $75,000 a year to making Zip, zero, Nada! I still had over $12,000 dollars worth of antibotics to pay for plus a $75,000 hospital bill to deal with! Yes, our insurance paid for part of the hospital bill but everything after the week my wife was laid off was NOT covered anymore, almost $20,000 More. Thats when my praying Momma and my Wife's sisters
Patty and Sandra sprung into action .They started call everybody they knew asking for help. It wasn't long before we started getting cards in the mail , each one with A check or cash in it. I never experienced such an awesome outpouring of love in my life. Patty got my rent dropped for that month and the guys from the concrete plant I worked at got some money together and sent it to me. My Mom even started sending me her tithes to help out, you see she always referrred to me as her pastor because I convinced her and my Dad to start going back to church one time when they had stopped going.
Yes our lifestyle did change quite a bit during that 9 month stretch. We went from eating at Outback, Red Lobster and Kobe's to McDonalds Burger King and Krystal and thats when someone gave us some money to go there.
My wife was able to draw enemployment for a few months and Thanks to God we were able to get Medicaid and Food stamps to help out. ALL of my medical bill were covered... Did you Hear me? ... I said ALL off them, even back 90 days from the time we were approved ,Even what our insurance did not cover. Thank You Jesus! MY God is an Awesome God! We did lose our new car and had to give up some luxurys (cable, fancy resturants, Etc.)
but we kept our house, we had another car that was paid for and an endless supply of loving friends and family that made sure that we Never went hungry! When I was able I did some odd jobs to make a little money. I worked at the Masters Golf  Tournament in Augusta and Both me and my Wife worked at a Strawberry patch selling strawberries, ( made some good money doing that, All Cash!) We had several yard Sales with stuff that my Mom and Sister in laws Patty and Sandra got people to donate to us and of Course I sold a Little of my BBQ at the yard sales which was the genesis of my now BBQ and Catering business. God Really blessed us during that time!
Now you all know that I made my living as a truck driver and that my docters told me that I might as well give that up So I called the South Carolina Dept.
of Vocational Rehab and related my story and they accepted me into Vocational Rehab in Columbia South Carolina. There I went thru test after test, exercise after exercise, mental challenge after mental challenge and they determined that I still Had It! My mental capacity that is(my IQ 121, normal 90)! So they were going to send me to school to get my A+ computer certification! Thanks SCDVR!
But thats Not what happened............I'll talk about that in Part 3.
Stay tuned and God Bless!

Making it thru brain surgery. Part 1

For those of you that don't know I  had brain surgery to remove a large abcess
from my brain about 3 years ago this Christmas. This week I am celebrating 2
years back to work. God really keep his hand on me! I just wanted to tell a little bit of my story and maybe inspire someone that may be going thru a tough time.
It was the week of Christmas 2003, I was at work on Monday at my job as a concrete truck driver in Augusta Ga. I noticed that I had a dull pain in the left side of my head just above my ear that lasted all day. I took some aspirin but nothing seemed to ease the pain. I thought that maybe it was just a migraine starting. The next day (Tues.) I called in to work still in pain. I also called in the next day (Wed. Christmas Eve) and toughed out a family Christmas get together and It seemed that the pain was getting worse. I also toughed out Christmas Day with my kids (Thur.) in misery. The next day (Fri.) I finally asked  my wife to take me to the hospital in Aiken SC. There they determined that it was a severe Migraine and gave me a shot of Demoral and sent me home. At least I got some sleep that night!
The next day (Sat.) I woke up still hurting even more so I told my wife that I wanted to go back to the hospital. This time they decided to run a Cat scan and that is when I got the news!.........There was a mass on my brain the size of a lemon! "Oh my God" I  thought  I have a brain tumor.  I just knew that all my years of dipping snuff  (nasty Habit, Thank God I was delivered!)had caused me to get Brain Cancer!
Well they arranged for an immediate ambulance transport to the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta because the had the Neurosurgery facilities that were needed for my condition. I was there overnight and they sent me home because being between Christmas and New Years the hospital was under staffed and the wouldn't be able to do anything until after Jan. 1st.
Let me tell you,  The next day I was sicker than I have ever been. I was in so much pain that I was lashing out at everybody. I was sick to my stomach and dizzy and getting incoherent and between my Wife and my Dad they made me go back to the hospital . When we got there while my Wife was signing me in I stumbled to the bathroom to vomit yet Again and there is where I collasped. They had to bring a wheelchair into the bathroom to get me and then they rushed me upstairs to the nuerology unit. Thats when I got the Frst and hopefully ONLY catheter put in me . Everything else is a blur But I still remember that . I know I had friends and Family there during that time and that people all over were praying for me. I am blessed to have a Momma  who is a true Prayer Warrior and I am convinced that it was her prayers that God heard the loudest.
The next morning ( new years Eve) I was in surgery. The Doctors told my family that it would probably take 8 hours or more and to expect me to have impaired motor skills,  impaired speech and memory loss afterwards.
Now here's the good part of the surgery story, when they opened up my head, there wasen't a tumor it was just a mass of infection on my brain (An abcess) determined to have been caused by an abcessed tooth that had been removed a few months earlier. the surgery only took about 4 hours and was a success. Yes I did suffer some minor memory loss but not enough to really matter. What Really matters is that I know that God took care of me that week and guided the surgeons hand as he probed  around my brain and that the power of prayer is a powerful force and I thank God everyday  for life
and life more abundant. I was back home in 4 days!

Stay tuned for the rest of the story and how God helped me thru the next 9 months of recovery and rehab. God Bless You All!
