WHEN I WHINE
Posted On 05/07/2008 12:20:01
WHEN I WHINE.....

 When I Whine
~~~~~~~
Today, upon a bus, I saw a girl with golden hair
I looked at her and sighed and wished I was as fair.
When suddenly she rose to leave,
I saw her hobble down the aisle.
She had one leg and used a crutch
But as she passed, she passed a smile.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine
I have 2 legs, the world is mine.
~~
I stopped to buy some candy
The lad who sold it had such charm
I talked with him a while, he seemed so very glad
If I were late, it'd do no harm.
And as I left, he said to me,
'I thank you, you've been so kind.
It's nice to talk with folks like you.
You see,' he said, 'I'm blind.'
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have 2 eyes, the world is mine.
Later while walking down the street,
I saw a child with eyes of blue
He stood and watched the others play
He did not know what to do.
I stopped a moment and then I said,
'Why don't you join the others, dear?'
He looked ahead without a word.
And then I knew, he couldn't hear.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have 2 ears, the world is mine.
With feet to take me where I'd go.
 With eyes to see the sunset's glow.
With ears to hear what I would know.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I've been blessed indeed, The world is mine.
Sorrow looks back,
Worry looks around,
LOVE YA!!!
Posted On 06/22/2007 12:00:33
I Love ya!
One day a woman's husband died, and on that clear,
cold morning, in the warmth of their bedroom, the wife was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't anymore.
No more hugs, no more special moments to celebrate together, no more phone calls just to chat, no more "just one minute."
Sometimes, what we care about the most gets all used
up and goes away, never to return before we can say
good-bye, say "I love you."
So while we have it, it's best we love it, care for it,
fix it when it's broken and heal it when it's sick.
This is true for marriage ... and old cars .. and children with bad report cards, and dogs with bad hips, and aging parents and grandparents.
We keep them because they are worth it, because we
are worth it.
Some things we keep -- like a best friend who moved
away or a classmate we grew up with.
There are just some things that make us happy, no matter what.
Life is important, like people we know who are special.
And so, we keep them close!
I received this from someone who thought I was a 'keeper'! Then I sent it to the people I think of in the same way.
Now it's your turn to send this to all those people
who are "keepers" in your life, including the person
who sent it if you feel that way.
Suppose one morning you never wake up, do all your friends know you love them?
I was thinking...I could die today, tomorrow or next week, and I wondered if I had any wounds needing to be healed, friendships that needed rekindling or three words needing to be said.
Let every one of your friends know you love them. Even if you think they don't love you back, you would be amazed at what those three little words and a smile can do.
And just in case GOD calls me home .. I LOVE YA!!!     Live today to the fullest because tomorrow is not promised.
A LITTLE BOY
Posted On 03/10/2007 12:17:21
She jumped up as soon as she saw the surgeon come out of the operating
room. She said: "How is my little boy ? Is he going to be all right ? When
can I see him ?"
The surgeon said, "I'm sorry. We did all we could, but your boy didn't
make it."
Sally said, "Why do little children get cancer ? Doesn't God care any
more ? Where were you, God, when my son needed you ?"
The surgeon asked, "Would you like some time alone with your son ? One
of the nurses will be out in a few minutes, before he's transported to the
university."
Sally asked the nurse to stay with her while she said good bye to son.
She ran her fingers lovingly through his thick red curly hair. "Would you
like a lock of his hair ?" the nurse asked.
Sally nodded yes. The nurse cut a lock of the boy's hair, put it in a
plastic bag and handed it to Sally.
The mother said, "It was Jimmy's idea to donate his body to the
University for Study. He said it might help somebody else. "I said no at
first, but Jimmy said, 'Mom, I won't be using it after I die. Maybe it will
help some other little boy spend one more day with his Mom." She went on,
"My Jimmy had a heart of gold. Always thinking of someone else. Always
wanting to help others if he could."
Sally walked out of Children's Mercy Hospital for the last time,
after spending most of the last six months there. She put the bag with
Jimmy's belongings on the seat beside her in the car.
The drive home was difficult. It was even harder to enter the empty
house. She carried Jimmy's belongings, and the plastic bag with the lock of
his hair to her son's room.
She started placing the model cars and other personal things back in
his room exactly where he had always kept them. She laid down across his bed
and, hugging his pillow, cried herself to sleep.
It was around midnight when Sally awoke. Laying beside her on the bed
was a folded letter. The letter said:
"Dear Mom, I know you're going to miss me; but don't think that I will
ever forget you, or stop loving you, just 'cause I'm not around to say "I
Love You". I will always love you, Mom, even more with each day. Someday we
will see each other again. Until then, if you want to adopt a little boy so
you won't be so lonely, that's okay with me. He can have my room and old
stuff to play with. But, if you decide to get a girl instead, she probably
wouldn't like the same things us boys do. You'll have to buy her dolls and
stuff girls like, you know. Don't be sad thinking about me. This really is a
neat place. Grandma and Grandpa met me as soon as I got here and showed me
around some, but it will take a long time to see everything. The angels are
so cool. I love to watch them fly. And, you know what? Jesus doesn't look
like any of his pictures. Yet, when I saw Him, I knew it was Him. Jesus himself
took me to see GOD ! And guess what, Mom ? I got to sit on God's knee
and talk to Him, like I was somebody important. That's when I told Him that
I wanted to write you a letter, to tell you good bye and everything. But I
already knew that wasn't allowed. Well, you know what Mom ? God handed me
some paper and His own personal pen to write you this letter. I think
Gabriel is the name of the angel who is going to drop this letter off to
you. God said for me to give you the answer to one of the questions you
asked Him 'Where was He when I needed him ?' "God said He was in the same
place with me, as when His son Jesus was on the cross. He was right there,
as He always is with all His children. Oh, by the way, Mom, no one else can
see what I've written except you. To everyone else this is just a blank
piece of paper. Isn't that cool ? I have to give God His pen back now. He
needs it to write some more names in the Book of Life. Tonight I get to sit
at the table with Jesus for supper. I'm sure the food will be great.
Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. I don't hurt anymore. The cancer is
all gone. I'm glad because I couldn't stand that pain anymore and God
couldn't stand to see me hurt so much, either. That's when He sent The Angel
of Mercy to come get me. The Angel said I was a Special Delivery ! How about
that ?
A NEWBORNS CONVERSATION WITH GOD
Posted On 02/22/2007 18:28:44
A newborns conversation with God:
A baby asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth
tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and
helpless?"
God said,
"Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you."
The child further inquired,
"But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing
and smile to be happy."
God said,
"Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you.
And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy."
Again the child asked,
"And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me
if I don't know the language?"
God said,
"Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you
will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will
teach you how to speak."
"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"
God said,
"Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how
to pray."
"Who will protect me?"
God said,
"Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life."
"But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore."
God said,
"Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the
way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you."
At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from
Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to
leave now, please tell me my angel's name."
God said,
"You will simply call her, "Mom."
