When your heart has been broken and you feel like no one cares, come talk to me. I will be there. When you have cried a thousand tears and they still won't quit falling. Come to me, I hear you calling. Just lay your weary head on my chest. I am here for you. I will give you rest. Just reach out and take my hand. I am here, I understand. When you feel like you have lost your best friend, I will be here until the end. Tell me all your worries, tell me all your cares. I will be there to answer your prayers. I know life isn't easy, the road you travel is so hard and long. I will give you hope again. I will give your heart a song. But stop trying to carry the load. Stop trying to heal your land. Trust me, I have a plan. Although you may not see it, I have your best interest at heart. Just trust me to fill in the missing parts. Do not be discouraged when trouble comes your way. I promise you there will be brighter days. I know how it feels to be abandoned and unloved. But remember I am watching from above. Just when you feel like you have walked your last mile, i will come on the scene. I will make you smile. You never have to fight the battle alone. Follow me, I will lead you home. I will lead you away from this dry and barren land, high on the mountain where you can stand. Always remember I love you more than you can ever know. You must go through trials so you can grow! So grow for me and be a light and I will lead you to a land where there is no night!

He Who Took the Cross for Me Lord, we all know, one day, You we shall see, If we believe in the Son, that took the cross for me. He loved us then and He still loves us all, today. Let us fully believe in Him, that we'll be with Him one day.He stood the cross for us all, that horrid day. He will greet each one that believes and comes His way. Just believe upon 'His sweet eternal name' is all. Then, one day, His majesty Jesus will come to call.Where else would we find one so precious to love; Only Jesus, who took the old cross and went above? He awaits us there now, to come and be with He That wants the whole world to be there for eternity.Life changes have to be made, in this old sinful world, For sins forgiven, hateful, words unfurled - To hang on to every word, written by Jesus, to live by. Then we shall meet Him, one day, just above the sky.He took the cross for us all, that sweet sad day. He gives us life again, when we accept Him and pray. Love our brothers as our self; lend a hand. We shall then see our Savior, there in Glory-land. (c) 2007 by Pearlie Duncan Walker Author of "Heaven's Gate" http://www.airleaf.com/synopsis.asp?bookid=1430Shared Art Should this post be popular
"Mud Puddles and Dandelions"
When I look at a patch of dandelions, I see a bunch of weeds that are going to take over my yard. My kids see flowers for Mom and blowing white fluff you can wish on.
When I look at an old drunk and he smiles at me, I see a smelly, dirty person who probably wants money and I look away. My kids see someone smiling at them and they smile back.
When I hear music I love, I know I can't carry a tune and don't have much rhythm so I sit self consciously and listen. My kids feel the beat and move to it. They sing out the words. If they don't know them, they make up their own.
When I feel wind on my face, I brace myself against it. I feel it messing up my hair and pulling me back when I walk. My kids close their eyes, spread their arms and fly with it, until they fall to the ground laughing.
When I pray, I say thee and thou and grant me this, give me that. My kids say, "Hi God! Thanks for my toys and my friends. Please keep the bad dreams away tonight. Sorry, I don't want to go to Heaven yet. I would miss my Mommy and Daddy."
When I see a mud puddle I step around it. I see muddy shoes and dirty carpets. My kids sit in it. They see dams to build, rivers to cross and worms to play with.
I wonder if we are given kids to teach or to learn from? No wonder God loves the little children!!
"Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things."
I wish you mud puddles and dandelions... --Author Unknown

"Important Words"
You Ask Me Why I Follow Jesus?
You ask why I follow this Jesus? Why I love Him the way I do? When the world's turned away from His teachings And the people who serve Him are few.

It's not the rewards I'm after Or gifts that I hope to receive It's the Presence that calls for commitment It's the Spirit I trust and believe.
The Lord doesn't shelter His faithful Or spare them all suffering and pain, Like everyone else I have burdens, And walk through my share of rain.

Yet He gives me a plan and a purpose, And that joy only Christians have known, I never know what comes tomorrow, But I do know I'm never alone.

It's the love always there when you need it; It's the words that redeem and inspire, It's the longing to ever be with Him That burns in my heart like a fire.

So you ask why I love my Lord Jesus? Well, friend, that's so easy to see, But the one thing that fills me with wonder is Why Jesus loves someone like me.

I thank God that I met the Master, at an early age. You ask me why I follow Jesus? He has always been there, by my side . He is my comfort, in time of sorrow. He is my Healer, in time of sickness. He has filled my void, when I felt lonely. He has been my Special Friend, that I can confide in .... He has given me His Holy Spirit to guide me . He has been there all the time.... That is why I follow Jesus...Won't you accept Him also, and follow Him? Love, Mrs. P

 ~~Scriptures~~
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and My fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. Psalm 91;2
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And when you pass through the rivers, they will Not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, You will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD, your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior- Isaiah 43:2-3

&nb sp; &nb sp; "I Refuse To Be Discouraged"
I refuse to be discouraged, To be sad, or to cry; I refuse to be downhearted, and here's the reason why . . .
I have a God who's mighty, Who's sovereign and supreme; I have a God who loves me, and I am on His team.
He is all wise and powerful, Jesus is His name; Though everything is changeable, My God remains the same.
My God knows all that's happening; Beginning to the end, His presence is my comfort, He is my dearest friend.
When sickness comes to weaken me, To bring my head down low, I call upon my mighty God; Into His arms I go.
When circumstances threaten to rob me from my peace; He draws me close unto His breast, Where all my strivings cease.
And when my heart melts within me, and weakness takes control; He gathers me into His arms, He soothes my heart and soul.
The great "I AM" is with me, My life is in His hand, The "Son of the Lord" is my hope, It's in His strength I stand.
I refuse to be defeated, My eyes are on my God; He has promised to be with me, as through this life I trod.
I'm looking past all my circumstances, To Heaven's throne above; My prayers have reached the heart of God, I'm resting in His love.
I give God thanks in everything, My eyes are on His face; The battle's His, the victory is mine; He'll help me win the race.

Remember A man may go to heaven...... without health, without wealth; without fame, without a great name; without learning, without earnings; without culture, without beauty; without friends and without ten thousand other things----- But he can NEVER go to Heaven without Christ.
A little girl stood near a small church from which she had been turned away because it was "too crowded." "I can't go to Sunday School," she sobbed to the pastor as he walked by.
Seeing her shabby, unkempt appearance, the pastor guessed the reason and, taking her by the hand, took her inside and found a place for her in the Sunday school class. The child was so happy that they found room for her, and she went to bed that night thinking of the children who have no place to worship Jesus
Some two years later, this child lay dead in one of the poor tenement buildings. Her parents called for the kindhearted pastor who had befriended their daughter to handle the final arrangements.
As her poor little body was being moved, a worn and crumpled red purse was found which seemed to have been rummaged from some trash dump.
Inside was found 57 cents and a note, scribbled in childish handwriting, which read: "This is to help build the little church bigger so more children can go to Sunday School."
For two years she had saved for this offering of love
When the pastor tearfully read that note, he knew instantly what he would do. Carrying this note and the cracked, red pocketbook to the pulpit, he told the story of her unselfish love and devotion
He challenged his deacons to get busy and raise enough money for the larger building.
But the story does not end there...
A newspaper learned of the story and published It. It was read by a wealthy realtor who offered them a parcel of land worth many thousands.
When told that the church could not pay so much, he offered to sell it to the little church for 57 cents.
Church members made large donations Checks came from far and wide. Within five years the little girl's gift had increased to $250,000.00--a huge sum for that time (near the turn of the century). Her unselfish love had paid large dividends.
When you are in the city of Philadelphia, look up Temple Baptist Church, with a seating capacity of 3,300. And be sure to visit Temple University, where thousands of students are educated.
Have a look, too, at the Good Samaritan Hospital and at a Sunday School building which houses hundreds of beautiful children, built so that no child in the area will ever need to be left outside during Sunday school time.
In one of the rooms of this building may be seen the picture of the sweet face of the little girl whose 57 cents, so sacrificially saved, made such remarkable history. Alongside of it is a portrait of her kind pastor, Dr. Russell H. Conwell, author of the book, "Acres of Diamonds".
This is a true story, which goes to show WHAT GOD CAN DO WITH 57 CENTS.
