I love tools My rationale is that if I can save time and money by owning a tool for a job, I owe it to myself to get it.
I have screwdrivers of various persuasions, wrenches, deep sockets and some air tools. (If I'd known years ago how much time an air wrench can save, I'd have bought one when I was 16, and my body would be much younger today.)
Problem is, there's a teenager in the house with his own dirt bike and friends with dirt bikes, and none of them know tools are important after you use them.
They see pit crews throw tools around, and assume that's what you do with a used tool.
They don't worry about rain, sockets that go into pockets and leave the premises, or even who bought the gas that was in the can for lawn mowers and trimmers.
Am I the only one ready to buy a backhoe and bury anyone caught leaving their tools out for the rust monster to eat?
I doubt it.
