PSALMS 117

(1) O PRAISE THE LORD, ALL YE NATIONS: PRAISE HIM, ALL YE PEOPLE.

(2) FOR HIS MERCIFUL KINDNESS IS GREAT TOWARD US: AND THE TRUTH OF THE LORD ENDURETH FOR EVER.  PRAISE YE THE LORD.

I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO CONTINUE TO PRAISE THE LORD NO MATTER WHAT STATE YOU MAY BE IN.  WHEN PRAISES GO UP, BLESSINGS, HEALING AND DELIVERANCE COME DOWN.

WHATEVER THE PROBLEM, THE SITUATION OR CIRCUMSTANCE OUR VICTORY IS IN OUR PRAISE!!!

Matthew 7:7 ~ Ask and it shall be given you, seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

Ask ~ We have not because we ask not, but when asking make sure that it is in the Will of our Heavenly Father. Prayer is where we commune with God and make our petitions known.

Seek ~ We must seek God's face and turn from our wicked ways and then we will be able to find all that God has for His children. You will find God's face in His Word.

Knock ~ We must knock at Heaven's door with sincerity that the door may be opened.  Worship is the door to the Kingdom.

Our heavenly Father is not a God that He should lie, if He said it then He's more than capable of performing it.  Trust and believe in all that God has spoke into your life.

Jesus is knocking
Posted On 01/03/2007 11:36:27

Revelation 3:20 ~ Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart, will you let Him in? The Word says behold, I stand at the door and knock, in a since he's saying, "hey I've been out here knocking are you going to open the door.  I dont know about you but when I visit family and friends I can only knock so long before I become impatient.  I start to wonder if anyone is even home, or you received a call or just finished conversating with them on the phone and understand why it's taking so long to answer the door.

Well Jesus often wonder why is it taking so long for us to answer the door, we just finished conversating with Him, we just got out of prayer asking for an answer, a blessing, a direction and know He's knocking and we wont answer.  In reality we come to know what a pacific person's knock sounds like and if it's an unfamiliar one we're skeptical about answering ~ and when Jesus doesnt knock the way we expects Him to we become skeptical about answering.

The knocks of Jesus comes in many forms and fashions but if we come to recognize His voice we'll know just who it is.  The knocks of Jesus may come in the form of heartache, trouble, pain, emotionally and physically but whatever form it's up to us to answer and when we do He will come in and sup with us and us with Him.  He will come in and heal our land, He will come in and give us direction, understanding, love, joy and whatever else we're lacking in our Christian Journey.

I encourage you my sisters and brothers that when the storm rise and wind blow, dont get upset, disappointed and throw in the towel, listen closely to the voice to see if it's Jesus who's knocking.  Although His knocks comes in many forms, His voice is always the same.  If He's knocking at your heart today, I pray that you LET HIM IN!

Much love in Christ

God is Worthy To Be Praised!!!

1.  We have a Father that sits high and looks low!

2.  He took nothing and created everything!

3.  He made us a little lower than the angels!

4.  He gave us Power to defeat the enemy!

5.  He allowed His Son, Jesus to die in our place!

6.  He breathes in us every morning so that we may awake!

7.  HE'S THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE & LIVING GOD!!!

Why not serve a God like this?  Why not give Him the praise?  He's worthy of all the praise and without Him we can do nothing.  He gave us the sun for light by day and the moon for light by night.  He's a God that loved the world so much that He allowed His Only Begotten Son to die that we may live.

This is just a drop in the Bucket concerning my God, but if you ask me, it's enough to give Him ALL the praise.  The angels worship and praise Him day and night they forever say HOLY! HOLY! HOLY!

Father in the mighty name of your Son Jesus, I worship you and give you all the praise and I say, HOLY! HOLY! HOLY!  art thou name!

Much love to my Heavenly Father

"ABIDING IN THE VINE"
Posted On 12/01/2006 17:19:06

PSALM 15:1-5 ~ Lord, whoall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? (2) He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.      (3) he that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbor, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbor. (4) In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoreth them that fear the Lord.  He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not. (5) he that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent.  He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

~ Abide means to assemble, dwell, remain and to gather.  Not everyone will be able to abide in God's Tabernacle.  We must kill our flesh daily in order to abide.  If we obey these 10 steps found in Ps. 15:1-5 we will be able to have a peace of mind when it comes to abiding.  (1)Walk upright, (2) Work righteousness, (3) Speak the truth, (4) do not backbite, (5) do no evil, (6) dont disgrace neighbor, (7) Swear to own hurt, (8) change not, (9) put not money to usury, (10) do not bribe the innocent.  If we obey then we shall not be moved!

PSALM 91:1 ~ He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

~ God will protect those who trust in Him.  The secret place is God's protection for the saints.  If we stay in His presence He will protect us from all hurt, harm and danger.  Although trials must come, God will shield and protect us from damnation (heart, mind & soul) for He will put no more on us than we can bear.  It's a blessing to abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  I couldnt have a better covering and a safer shelter than God himself.

JOHN 15:4-5 ~ Abide in me, and I in you.  As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. (5) I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

~We can do nothing, whether big or small unless we're abiding in the vine and that vine is Jesus Christ.  We are the branches and unless we are still remaining on the branches we will otherwise wither and die.  We must abide in the vine from every aspect of our lives if we want to bring forth fruit.  An unfruitful tree is only good to be cut down and used for fire wood.  In order for the branches to stay nourished and not dry out they must be connected to the vine.

JOHN 15:7 ~ If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

~ Accept we abide in or stay close to Jesus we will be unfruitful in all of our ways and efforts, our work will be in vain.  If things are not going right check to see if you have detached yourself from the vine, if so get reattached, because Jesus is the vine and he is our source of power, He's our nourishment.  Once w abide in Him, then He will abide in us and we can ask what we please and it SHALL be done unto us.  Why?  Because if Jesus is abiding in us He cannot and will not deny Himself of anything, for everything is His.

Be blessed in the Lord, Lady Sutton

"SIMPLY BECAUSE" (I know who I am in Christ Jesus)
Posted On 11/29/2006 07:29:45

JOHN 13:3-5 ~ Jesus knowing that the Father had givn all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God; (4) He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel and girded himself. (5) After that he poureth water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.

(KNOWLEDGE OF SELF-WORTH AND TRUE HUMILITY WORK TOGETHER FOR THE SERVICE OF OTHERS)

Jesus knew that the Father had given all things into His hands.  He knew that He had come from God and was going back to God, and because of this He was able to rise from the supper, lay aside His garments and wash the disciples feet.  He was able to become as a servant, he was able to be lied on, talked about and ridiculed for His Father's sake.  He was able to die on Calvary's cross SIMPLE BECAUSE, HE KNEW WHO HE WAS, He is the son of God, the living God, the all existing one.

Jesus didnt avoid compliments, or run from the knowledge of Himself, He didnt pretend that he was less than what He knew Himself to be nor did He apoligize for the truth about Himself.  He took what he knew (because knowledge is power) and defeated the devil, he defeated death and the world.  Although it was hard at times and He was weak at times, He was able to endure until the end, SIMPLE BECAUSE He know who He is.

Knowing who we are and the awareness of our personal worth should make us want to serve the almighty God with power.  We've been called with a purpose not of our own the will of God must and will be performed in our lives but It's up to us to reach our destiny!  We serve an almighty God, along with His son Jesus and God has sent us a comforter ~ we're children of a king, so let's act like and take the world and the devil by storm.  All things are possible and will come to pass SIMPLE BECAUSE we know who we are IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD!

Blessings, Lady Sutton

Three Steps to Commitment
Posted On 11/27/2006 11:38:07

To be committed means to trust, surrender, bring forth, to do, to pledge, to bind and seek.

Here's three steps to help you become and stay committed to God first and then to whatever it may be that He has called you to.

Step 1: PURPOSE (aim, determination, intention)

2 Timothy 1:12-14 ~ For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day. (13) Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.  (14) That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.

~ We must have unshakable trust in God; we must be able to suffer without shame.  Paul is confident that God trusts him; he knew that God would keep his deposit, his life and his eternal rewards of his ministry.  God does not forget a life that is committed in being faithful in serving Him in all areas.  Our first step is knowing the purpose for our life, we cant be committed if we dont have a clue as to whom and for what reason.  Our purpose in on earth is to fulfill the promises of the Father.

Step 2: VALUE (standards, importance, desirability

Matthew 6:25 ~ Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on.  Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

~Life is man's greatest concern, all that a man has will he give for his life.  We must refer our life and well being to God and He will do the rest.  Dont worry about food or raiment for God will sustain you when you are committed.  Our life meant so much to God that He allowed His only Son to die for us.  We value the wrong things.  Stop being anxious for tomorrow or the future, we must first be victorious and value the things of God today.  I encourage you to value the things of God more than the things of man.

Step 3: BENEFITS (advantage, help)            &nb sp;

Psalm 55:22 ~ Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Proverbs 16:3 ~ Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.

~The third step to being committed is knowing that commitment comes with benefits.  The Lord is a true friend and is forever around and we can trust that He will lift our heavy burden.  Being committed to God turns His face in our direction, it gets His attention.

~I encourage all who reads to stay committed to whatever it is that God has called you to.  It get's hard at times but I found out as a Co-Pastor for 5 years that it's well worth it and yes it does has it's benefits, especially when God chooses you to be a part of someone's life being changed for His glory.

Blessings, Lady Sutton

Rejoice and Be Glad
Posted On 11/25/2006 20:53:01

Psalm 118:24 ~ This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it!

No matter what each day may bring, we must get to the point of rejoicing and being glad in it.  God created all things, He created the heavens and the earth and all that He has created is good.  Therefore we must count it all joy for God allowing us to see another one of His days.  Tomorrow is not promised to any of us therefore it is IMPERATIVE that we make good and do good in each day that we have.

We have good days and we have bad ones and some worse than others.  I encourage all who read to rejoice through the good as well as the not so good.  I have a saying that gets me through day by day, it goes like this: It's not easy but it's definately worth it!

GOD HAS GIVEN YOU ANOTHER DAY, WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH IT?  REJOICE I SAY AND BE EXCEEDINGLY GLAD

Be blessed in the Lord, much love from Lady M. Sutton
