"We look forward to a world founded upon four essential human freedoms. The first is freedom of speech and expression everywhere in the world. The second is freedom of every person to worship God in his own way everywhere in the world. The third is freedom from want .... everywhere in the world. The fourth is freedom from fear ... anywhere in the world." ~*~ Franklin D. Roosevelt in a speech on The Four Freedoms delivered to Congress on January 6, 1941. I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on thy hands. Psalm 143:5
It's been a long busy month, First We went to Illinois for my nephews wedding. It was great to see all the family, and the wedding was very nice. The whole Koehler clan stayed at the Hilton, all 31 of us. Yep, that’s right. And I am sure they where glad to see us leave after 4 nights of taking over the lobby, the pool, the bar etc. We were all over the place most of us stayed on the 3rd floor which had to be a blessing for the other guest!! After the long weekend I went to stay with my dad. As always I clean his house really good for him and visit with friends. I got to have lunch with my friends from My Space; Mary and Char, it was great to see them again. And I can hardly wait till next time. I also went up North to see my friend of 33 years stayed a few days with her and had a blast. Isn’t it funny how you forget your true age when you are with friends? Or is that just me?! Then I spent a day with my Aunt, she is a real sweet heart next time I plan to stay longer with her. Just not to crazy about her to Boxers, they are only 8 and 9 months old but they are big and they were all over me. Good thing I like animals. Plus I was there for my dad’s 75th birthday. Which was very special for me, as I know it was for him too. Last year I sent my dad the plans to make Adirondack chairs he said he would make for me. Well guess what he waited for me to come visit so he could show me how to make them. So we spent may days out in the heat, cutting, sanding and drilling. We did get them made, my dad brought me home, when we got them home he helped me put them together. Then we built a work bench, so this is my new hobby word crafting. I will have a picture soon as I paint them, RED! My dad was here for Father’s day, he helped me with my garden, you know the part about the weeds, well it wasn’t to bad since I have help this year. It’s looking good. Real good I can hardly wait for the water melons, my favorite! This Thursday the Red Hatter’s are going to Ross’ Diner here in Cartersville, then to the Booth Western Art Museum, from there we will be going to the Rose Lawn Museum. Sounds like fun, I can hardly wait to see my Red Hatter’s. Monday my dad leaves for Oklahoma to see his sister and the rest of the family. I wish I could go but I am so far behind in work and every thing else. This month has been a special one for me and my dad, I will be sad to see him leave. I just wanted to share the time I spend with him, because it was so special to me. When we get to be this age ever moment with family and friends is special.
You are alway's in my prayers.
I hope you all are having a fun filled summer
