This is NOT a call for further bashing of homosexuals, this is to set some things strait, maybe you won't agree with my opinion and that's cool. Still read on.... God gave Adam dominion over the earth (Genesis 1:28), but Adam gave up his dominion when he sinned. Adam opened the door, satan walked through it! (Genesis 3:17-24) God gave us free will when He created us, and when sin entered the world, perfection or the perfect life He'd chosen for us went out the window. The more people sinned, the more God let them go in their sin. (Read Romans 1:18-32 if you don't have a Bible you can look this passage up at www.bibliegateway.com I prefer the NKJV) Now we have diseases of all kinds and sin abounds. Those diseases have escalated throughout history. With AIDS, muscular dystrophy, parkinsons, and even asthma; we see that diseases are not a respector of persons. Any child can be born with muscular dystrophy, fibra myalgia, or even AIDS. Sin, also is not a respector of persons, it takes us all at some time or another. The level of sin depends on the person and how much they will tolerate before they call on God. Romans 1:24, 25 tells us: Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather that the Creator, who is blessed forever. The Truth of God is perfect and loving. The only truth in satan is disease(physical & spiritual) and death. Also in Romans 1:26, 27 we are told: For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is AGAINST NATURE. Likewise also the men, LEAVING THE NATURAL USE of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. I look at this verse and wander is this why we have AIDS? But thats another subject for another day. Homosexual acts are sin according to Gods Word.(You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. Leviticus 18:22) I do believe that when sin entered the world, the perfection God had planned was destroyed. This is why we have issues like homosexuality and the question of whether or not it's genetic or a choice. It is a genetic disorder according to scientist. It can also be a chosen life style. If you are a boy born with too many "girl" chromosones you end up with !@#$ tendencies. Or if you are a girl born with too many "boy" chromosones you end up with lesbian tendencies. But, once again, it is also a chosen lifestyle. It was in my case...chosen that is. Don't get me wrong, you can be born with this "deformity", and still choose not to be homosexual. Many people have been delivered from a homosexual life, me included. Many people never choose it for themselves, even though they have the tendency...proving that you don't have to live that lifestyle. Some people are born carrying the genetic code for MD but never develope the disease, I know you are saying this is not something that can be chosen, but my point is...it's there. The enemy came to kill, steal and destroy. (John 10:10) He has killed many people with his lies, he has stolen the sanity of many, and he is trying to utterly destroy every human being on the face of the earth. He is suceeding in a lot of lives. God gave us a way out. Because, also in John 10:10 we are told that Jesus came to give us life, abundant life. We can choose to accept God and His Son into our lives and gain victory over satan, he is already defeated, we just have to believe it and put that belief into action in our lives. Through our trust/faith in Him we will be victorious in this life. We can conquer our fears, our sins, and our diseases. Just like the devil chips away at our sanity with his lies...so does God keep letting us know that He is there. Some take many years to finally say, "ok God, I can't do this, I need you, give me Jesus Please." Many are completely delivered the day they accept Jesus, some have to chip away (with the help of the Holy Spirit) at the strongholds satan has built over years of torment. To be bombarded by satan is torment. Being molested, beaten, and forsaken as a child are just a few of his tactics to keep you under his rule. The enemy starts whispering lies to us as children. With..."you'll never be good enough, no one will ever love you, even your Daddy doesn't want you"...on and on...he tortures us. When we find the Lord, we have to blast back at the devil...and yell, "YOU don't have dominion here anymore satan, I believe God, I believe Jesus, and in His NAME, I throw you out. Get out of my life in the Name of Jesus!" Sometimes we have to repeat this to ourselves and to him over and over, day after day, before we believe it. To end this, I want to say, that even though homosexuality is a sin, the person commiting it is still a child of God. He still loves them, and at any time would accept them.( Read 1 Corinthians 13:1-8 if you are a Christian who hates anyone.) Jesus is our example, and He hung out with tax collectors in His day. The modern day equivalent, to most Christians, would be homosexuals and lawyers(kidding). but really! Stop judging people according to their sins, and look at them through Gods eyes. We don't have the right to judge an unbeliever. Now, if they are a Christian we have the right according to Gods word to correct them, in a gentle way, least we be taken in the same sin.(Galatians 6:1, 3) Don't get all high and mighty, because I said it that way, I was one of those people, judging gays...and I ended up in a 2 year sexual and emotional relationship with another woman! So, I know it can happen! If you are !@#$ and unsaved or saved, and you are reading this, I want you to know, that I love you, but moreso God loves you. He loves you so much He gave His Son to ransom your life from satan. Romans 5:8 tells us But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
