i know, i know. its been a while and i've been slack and lazy but i'm here now.hope you'll find it in your heart to forgive me. well i haven't really been doing much lately. just waiting for a call from work to tell me when i start. thank goodness i finally got a call yesterday. i was told someone would call me about 2 weeks ago, but i start on Saturday. So if anyone happens to be down at the ferry wharfs in Circular Quay (as in Sydney, Australia) over the christmas break you may very well see me in my HIGHLY attractive uniform- shorts, work shirt and steel cap boots. its a look i can assure you!!! i'm also kinda hoping that i'll get paid before christmas so i can buy presents. my sister and i in theory usually go halves but i havent had any income in quite a while, and yesterday we had some rather, well i dont know what the right word would be but maybe we should just stick with bad. financial news, so mum and dad dont know how great christmas will be. we've had a few tight christmases and if i'm gonna be honest i reckon they turn out to be the best, but my dad gets really depressed cos he wants to get us all this stuff but can't afford it. and then he gets even more upset cos we understand and dont make a big deal about it. so my thinking was if i get paid before christmas i can still buy mum and dad as well as the rest of the clan some presents that will make the day enjoyable for them. if i do get paid though, i'll be fighting those christmas eve shoppers. i'll make sure i take a large drink bottle and plenty of food to snack on cos you never know how long and how hard you're gonna have to fight!!!

have i told you guys that i joined a bible study? well i did about a month ago. we've been doing the walk across the room series. i've really liked it. its evangelistic but it focusses on building relationships with people and just being that listening ear or a shoulder to lean on. a little goes a long way. so i pray that i apply that kinda stuff in my own life especially with my friends. they all know that i'm a christian, and i just pray that i'm a good example to them, a better friend and that maybe one day God will use me to get them in those big pearly gates! the bible study's been interesting. the people in the group are warming up to me and i think that they're starting to realise that i'm the not 4year old a lot of them remember.I'm actually an adult now, and they treat me like one too. i think it may be nice to get in a group that has a few more younger people but i have to be honest and say that i'm not really close to anyone in my church around my own age. i've always gotten along with the people a lot older than me. i havent been really involved in the youth group mainly because the style doesnt really appeal to me and there is a massive age difference. Year 6 (so 11/12 year olds) to year 12 kids (18 year olds). i know that thats only 6 years but its a 6 years where a lot of stuff goes on and i think you need to be able to talk about it and its hard to talk about my problems with the 12 year olds,especially seeing as i remember when a lot of them were babies or in kindy. some prayer here would be appreciated. I would love to make a connection with the people my own age. i dont really have a lot of christian friends my own age. i have friends my own age just not christian ones. someone i can talk to about stuff in my life and encourage me in my  christian walk in my day to day life, someone who understands what i'm going through...i'd really like that.

i have to get going. i gotta make mashed potato and then send my families wish list to my nana before she eats me!!!lol!
