Bound in Chains
Posted On: 11/18/2006 14:16:39

There I was kneeling on the ground, surrounded by a darkness unlike that of night, a darkness that was piercing. As I looked around, I saw a multitude of people scattered abroad, and among their midst, an even larger number of the demonic hosts. A screeching and howling, the sound of torment and mocking, could be heard. The noise was painfully loud, and yet, through it all a soft crying could be heard. Not a cry of tears and pain however, this was a cry for help, full of desperation and confusion.

I felt a heaviness on my body at that point, and as I looked down, saw large chains hanging from my arms and body. Heavy, cold and dark chains bound me tightly, keeping my upper body immobilized. It was not only uncomfortable, but even painful, as a feeling of desperation overcame me. The surrounding darkness began to crush me, the shouting of the demonic increased, and the noise of the crying for help dimmed away. As this happened, something from within my heart and spirit began to awaken and stir.

The Spirit overcame me at that moment as I arose to my feet, strengthened by His power instantly. My countenance became like that of stone as I looked around at the multitude of people and the demonic host with them. As a holy anger stirred within me, I came to realize why I was there. In that instant, I became fully aware of the multitude and host of demons, as they starred on at me. One group looked on at me with hope, looking to me for help. The other with an anger and hatred, full of wrath, starring me down with much hostility.

As abruptly as I found myself in this place, wrapped in those chains, a roar began to erupt from within. As I shouted as loudly as I could, strength began to flow unhindered through my body, and I ripped the chains apart. The pieces shattered and flew through the air in many pieces, and as they did, a light began to settle on the place. This light was quite different than regular light though, much like the darkness was quite different than regular darkness. It brought with it warmth that was refreshing and a brilliance that was healing. The darkness fled away, and with it the demonic host, leaving behind the multitude still confused, yet free from the prisons of their minds and bodies, free from their torment. As the light took it's place , and the people began to awaken to it, the pain and confusion started to wash away.

This was a vision I received in the most unlikely of places a while back, while in Maine on missions work. It is a call into intercession, but not just for me. This is a mandate to all who pray and intercede, and is a picture of the power we have with the Spirit living within us. I will speak more on this subject soon, but felt now was the time to make it available to all. I am sorry for how raw it is in grammar, but I was somewhat intoxicated in the Spirit's presence when I wrote it, and found it somewhat hard to write. I will go back and edit it, but don't expect to much editing, as I want to keep the same feeling in the words as they flowed from my fingers that day I wrote it.
