pure tenderness
Posted On: 02/14/2007 09:44:19

This is a story of the great escape artist Harry Houdini, he took a look into his heart and found pure tenderness.

Early in Houdinis career when he wast still unknown to many, he and his wife were very poor.Barely making it from day to day or even making ends meet.

One evening he went down to the market place to buy groceries. But within minutes he returned home and sat at the kitchen table crying. His wife was unsure what happened but was afraid it was something awful. Finally she was able to calm him enough to tell her. After gathering himself he assured her he was not hurt or mugged but that he had come across a man that was crippled and begging for food.

So Harry gives this poor guy everything he had and then comes home.I asked myself why was he crying? Was that the right thing to do?Maybe he was upset becouse he jumped the gun and now him and his wife had nothing to eat.NOPE!!! He was crying becouse he had no more to give.

Harry Houdini expressed the greatest gift that day pure tenderness.

Homer:

Yet,taught by time,my heart has learned to glow for others good, and melt at others woe.

Marcus Tallius Cicero:

What ever you do,do it with all your might.

Colossians 3:12

As Gods chosen people,Holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compasion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
