Don't Let the "I'm Busy's" Take Over... Living a Life of Worship
When I woke up this morning the "I'm Busy's" began to attack. This week I am preparing for an arts and crafts show on our Island this weekend. I make natural soaps, mineral cosmetics and gemstone jewelry. I have a lot of work to do for this weekend. I have to make all new stuff because I do not like to keep an iveventory. So now not only to I have to make things but I also have to organize them, figure out how to display them and I have to label them as well.
To be honest I wasn't even going to log on this morning. My husband and I make all the money for our outreach ministry so it is very important that I make as many things as possible to sell this weekend. I deffinently felt way too busy....too busy to read the word... too busy to pray... too busy to work on my ministry email... too busy to post and encouraging word...to busy to eat... too busy to sleep. Just way too busy! The "I'm busy's" had totally taken over my morning, so much so that I began to feel overwelmed and scattered.
When the "I'm busy's" take over this bad there is only one thing to do. Stop, breath, and pray. Prayer can give you just enough peace to help sort out and stomp on all the "I'm busy's". Prayer can also help you get your day in order. When you pray you realize what is really important. It sure isn't the "I'm busy's".
"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
In the above verse we see that prayer with out ceasing is one of the three most important parts of God's will for our lives. If we leave it out then we our opening ourselves up for un-neccesary stress, worry, confusion and fears. By continuing to pray throughout our day not only are we keeping the dialogue open with God but we are also making it possible to hear the still small voice guiding us away from things that may harm us.
So don't let those "I'm busy's" take over. Instead take some time to pray, refocus and have a great day!
