Prayers of desperation
"God please don't leave me here".
Longing to leave this cold gray place
No colors...No sound...No touch...No taste...

A heart so broken
Beyond repair....
More pain than any heart should bear.

Each breath an agonizing labor...
Prayers not answered...
God shows no favor.....

Frozen in sorrow..
Lost dreams of tomorrow..

Each morning met with such despair...
Until I saw you standing there......

All at once I see your face...
You lift me from this darkened place...

This flood of tears you kiss away...
Whispering promises of  a brand new day...

Your eyes so full of love for me....
Drawing me in.....setting me free...

Your warmth it washes over me.....
Gods answered prayer? ...You seem to be...

You wrap your arms around my soul.
Erasing  the sadness your only goal...

It's true! You are my answered prayer....
Life restored with you standing there....
