"UNTIL THE TIME CAME TO FULFILL HIS WORD, THE LORD TESTED JOSEPH'S CHARACTER' (Ps 105-19)

 

While God may bless other we sometimes think that we are forced to wait.  Joseph's faith was being tested by the very promises that God gave him. That happens to us today too. Can we hear those words of Satan? "I thought your dream was that you were supposed to be sitting on the throne. What are you doing in prison?'. However Satan had miscalculated. Why we may be in that same place we must see it as not being a prison but to see it as being the birthplace of the promises and the day of small beginnings.

God never changes His mind, so we mustn't change ours.

He's going to build something great, and there takes the extra time to lay the foundation,  Jesus grew - in favour with God and men (Lk 2-52) therefore Allow yourself to grow too.

By walking with God our opportunities for advancement become regulated by His plans not someone else's action. Preparation always precedes promotion.

God told the prophet Elijah to go and hide himself by the book Cherith (1Ki17-3).

However before he could see the fire from Heaven and defeat the prophets of Baal, Elijah had to spend time hidden aay with God. Insights can only be gained by spending quality time with God.

God may not come when you want Him to, but He will always be on time.  By waiting on Him nothing will He withhold for you because you walk upright. (Ps84-11)

We must realise that His delays are not denials.

He never promises anything that He can't back up or promised anything that He wouldn't deliver.

Disregard the circumstances and stand on the Word God has given you.
