Monday Morning Blues?
Posted On: 10/09/2006 12:04:56
We all have them. You go to church on sunday and get all fired up. Come Monday morning you get to work or school. Maybe your a housewife/stay at home mom. You wake up and everything is not peachy or upbeat from the kids crying to the teachers complaining. Maybe the boss has had a bad hair day. What do we do to change that feeling. Do we just look forward to our Wednesday service to get us through the rest of the week. I know we all have our ways making something that is going awry to something glorious. Let's all take sometime to put a favorite verse or song or even a program that helps get over that ridge of dissatification. I want some real answers to my blog today. Like they said in one of my all time favorite movies. The Knute Rockne Story. Win one for the Gipper. Give me your best ways to get back on the horse after Satan has tried to knock you off. Blessings to each and everyone of you in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Jeffy

Well - I guess I'm a little late - but I got here in God's timing, remember? So, what helps me is a little 5-minute devotional I read once. It was entitled "You make me so.............." The jist of it was this: Anytime you make a statement like "You make me so mad" or "You make me so upset" realize what you are doing. For example, you go to the copy machine to make copies and it is 'messing up'. You react by saying, "Blasted copier! You make me so mad!" Do you realize that what you have just done is given an "object" COMPLETE power of you? Why? Why would you let that happen?

Ever since I read that (and I plan to find it and post it in a blog later) it makes me stop and think. If I find myself getting upset over some situation that I have no control over, I stop and say, "Lord, thank You" for whatever I am thankful for at that particular moment. It really helps!

Love ya,

Kathryn
