My wife teaches the high school youth at our church. On Wednesday nights I go with her to help. We have been doing a study on Revelation verse by verse. And had finished the first 11 chapters.

A lady at church herd we were studying Revelation and offered to loan us a copy of Jack Van Impe's study of Revelation on DVD. We were already using his book so we considered the DVD a wonderful upgrade.

We were watching the DVD when one of the students started yelling "STOP...STOP...Did he just say Praise Allah? Immediatly we reversed the DVD and listened again, and then again. Still not sure of what he was saying we backed it up again, this time with the closed caption on so we could read along.

It read "Praise God Rexella". O.K. now we new what he said, but what does it mean? My wife grabbed a concordance and began searching for "Rexella". It was not in there. We tried a bible dictionary, not there either. Jack Van Impe said it, it HAD to be in the bible somewhere! I searched in my Greek dictionary, then my Hebrew dictionary. Nope, not there either. Now the youth were starting to question this Jack Van Impe fella. What "God" was he praising?

After class that night my wife and I went to the church office. Our sunday school teacher, her husband, the church secretary, and the music minister were there. I explained to them what had just happened and pleaded with them....What does Rexella mean?

All four at the same time explained "Rexella is Jack Van Impe's wife." He was talking to his wife! Boy did we feel silly.

Well at least we know our youth are paying attention in class. And they will not be lead astray without questioning what they are taught and checking it for themselves.
