analogies

Here are some analogies you can use if some one asks a question on Christianity.

 1. What was the point of Jesus dieing on the cross, couldn’t God forgive sin without the crucifix?

Lets say you had a tree that you loved very much and all you asked it to do was not to drink a certain chemical or else it would die, but the tree saw that it looked so delicious and drake it. The tree became poisonous and all the seeds it produces are poisonous to, so now you’re very unhappy because your prized possession is corrupted but you still love it. Likewise Adam and Eve sinned and the curse passed on to all of man kind and even though we became evil in Gods eyes he sill loves us. Lets say the tree tries to earn your approval back by giving you a bunch of barriers, you don’t want them because they’re poisonous. Likewise good works won’t win us to God because our deeds are like dirty rags to him. So how does the tree save itself? It can’t! The only way the tree can be cured is if its owner gives it a cure. Like wise we can’t save our selves but God can and that’s where the cross comes in. God demands 100% holiness and anything less is corrupted and deserves to be distorted. But no one is perfect. So God came down as Jesus and live a sinless life and allowed his mortal body to be killed and allowed himself to corrupt his perfect nature by absorbing our evil sins. But wait death is only a punishment for evil and since Jesus was perfect not even death could defeat him. So the perfect Jesus comes back but the sin stays dead. This was all necessary because any time we sin we offend God and are at risk going to hell but when we acknowledge Jesus as our savior we realize that we don’t have to be guilty of our sins but ask for forgiveness and then God takes our sins and puts it on the cross where it will die and never return. With that we now become perfect in Gods eyes once more and can share with him never ending paradise.

 2. Why does God demand us to do good works even though we are saved? Couldn’t we live the way we want to and ask for forgiveness later?

Lets say you saved a village from a flood and they decided to make you king (or queen) and they promised you their loyalty. Yes the mess up time-to-time but you see that they at least try. But lets say they ignore your instructions and disobay your orders, you wouldn’t want to rule over them. Likewise when you ask Jesus to be your savor he is expecting to be the ruler of your life and guide you to do right. Your good works are proof of your loyalty to him. Even the demons acknowledge that Jesus is God and yet they’re all going to hell. And even though good works can’t save you they can earn you rewards in heaven so that should be an encourager to do good.

Please comment and tell me what you think and if it is biblical or not.
