When I say I am CHRISTian

Jesus At Work

When I Say I am CHRISTian
Category: Jesus At Work

When I say..."I am a CHRISTian"
I am not shouting "Im clean livin'."
I am whispering "I was lost,
Now I am found and forgiven."

When I say…"I am a CHRISTian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I am confessing that I stumble
And need CHRIST to be my guide.

When I say…"I am a CHRISTian"
I am not trying to be strong.
I am professing that I'm weak.
And need his strength to carry on.

When I say…"I am a CHRISTian"
I am not bragging of success.
I am admitting I have failed.
And need Jesus to clean my mess.

When I say…"I am a CHRISTian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.
Blue Jesus Inside
When I say…"I am a CHRISTian"
I am not holier that thou.
I am just a simple sinner.
Who received God's good grace, somehow.

Share this with those who "do not have a clear" understanding of what it means to be a CHRISTian, so that the myth that s "think they are perfect" or "better that others" can be dispelled.

Memorial Day

I worked really long and hard at this, read through it and you will be thankfull

The Military

The average age of the military man is 19 years. He is a short haired,
tight-muscled kid who, under normal circumstances is considered by society as half
man, half boy Not yet dry behind the ears, not old enough to buy a beer,

but old enough to die for his country. He never really cared much for work and he would rather wax his
own car than wash his father's; but he has never collected unemployment either.

He's a recent High School graduate;

he was probably an average student,
pursued some form of sport activities, drives a ten year old jalopy,

and has a steady girlfriend

that either broke up with him when he left,

or swears to be waiting when he returns from half a world away

He listens to rock and roll or hip-hop or rap or jazz or swing and 155mm howitzer.

He is 10 or 15 pounds lighter now

than when he was at home

because he is working or fighting

from before dawn to well after dusk.

He has trouble spelling,

thus letter writing is a pain for him,

but he can field strip a rifle in 30 seconds

and reassemble it in less time in the dark.

He can recite to you the nomenclature

of a machine gun or grenade launcher

and use either one effectively if he must.

He digs foxholes and latrines

and can apply first aid like a professional.

He can march until he is told to stop

or stop until he is told to march.

He obeys orders instantly and without hesitation,

but he is not without spirit or individual dignity. He is self-sufficient

He has two sets of fatigues:

he washes one and wears the other.

He keeps his canteens full and his feet dry.

he sometimes forgets to brush his teeth,

but never to clean his rifle.

He can cook his own meals,

mend his own clothes, and fix his own hurts.

If you're thirsty, he'll share his water with you; if you are hungry, his food.

He'll even split his ammunition with you

in the midst of battle when you run low.

He has learned to use his hands like weapons

and weapons like they were his hands.

He can save your life - or take it,

because that is his job.

He will often do twice the work of a civilian ,

draw half the pay

and still find ironic humor in it all.

He has seen more suffering
and death then he should have

in his short lifetime.

He has stood atop mountains of dead bodies,

and helped to create them.
He has wept in public and in private,

for friends who have fallen in combat
and is unashamed.

He feels every note of the National Anthem vibrate through his body

while at rigid attention,

while tempering the burning desire to

''square-away'' those around him

who haven''t bothered to stand,
remove their hat, or even stop talking.

In an odd twist, day in and day out,
far from home,

he defends their right to be disrespectful.

Just as did his Father, Grandfather,

and Great-grandfather,

he is paying the price for our freedom. Beardless or not, he is not a boy.

He is the American Fighting Man

that has kept this country free

for over 200 years.

He has asked nothing in return,

except our friendship and understanding.
Remember him, always,

for he has earned our respect

and admiration with his blood.

Military Babes

And now we even have women over there in danger,
doing their part in this tradition

of going to War

when our nation calls us to do so.

As you go to bed tonight,

remember this shot..

Pray Until Something Happens

Cabin Lake Deer
A man was sleeping one night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled
with light, and God appeared. The Lord told the man he had work for him
to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The Lord
explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might...
So, the man did, day after day. For many years he toiled from sunup
to sundown, his shoulders set squarely
against the cold, massive
surface of the unmoving rock, Pushing with all of his might. Each night
the man returned to his cabin sore and worn out, feeling that his whole
day had been spent in vain.
Since the man was showing discouragement, the Adversary (Satan)
decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the weary mind:
(He will do it every time) "You have been Pushing against that rock for
a long time and it hasn't moved." Thus, he gave the man the impression
that the task was impossible and that he was a failure. These thoughts
discouraged and disheartened the man. Satan said, "Why kill yourself
over this? Just put in your time, giving just the minimum effort; and
that will be good enough."

In Gods Hands In Gods HandsIn Gods Hands

That's what the weary man planned to do, but decided to make it a matter
of Prayer and to take his troubled thoughts to The Lord.  Lord," he said, "I have labored
long and hard in Your Service, putting all my strength to do that which
you have asked. Yet, after all this time, I have not even budged that
rock by half a millimeter. What is wrong? Why am I failing?"
The Lord responded compassionately, "My friend, when I asked you to
serve Me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to Push
against the rock with all of your strength, which you have done. Never
once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was
to Push. And now you come to Me with your strength spent, thinking that
you have failed. But, is that really so? Look at yourself. Your arms
are strong and muscled, your back shinny and brown; your hands are
callused from constant pressure, your legs have become massive and
hard. Through opposition you have grown much, and your abilities now surpass
that which you used to have. True, you haven't moved the rock. But your
calling was to be Obedient and to Push and to exercise your Faith and
trust in My Wisdom. That you have done.  Now, I, my friend, will move the
rock." At times, when we hear a Word from God, we tend to use our own
intellect to decipher what He Wants, when actually what God wants  is
just Simple Obedience and Faith in Him. By all means, exercise

The
Faith that moves mountains, but know that it is still God Who Moves The
Mountains.

When everything seems to go wrong... just P.U.S.H.!
When the job gets you down... just P.U.S.H.!
When people don't do as you think they should...just

P.U.S.H !
When you can't find the right work... just P.U.S.H.!
When your money is "gone" and the bills are due... just
 P.U.S.H!
When people just don't understand you... just P.U.S.H.!
