Have you seen my son?
Posted On 10/02/2006 17:36:50
Hi to all my friends! Please visit my page and see the picture of my son that I haven't seen or heard from in years. I haven't seen many folks from the area where he was last known to be on here and haven't posted it until today. I have already had over 1100 views on my page and started thinking that maybe somebody on here may know somebody from the Ecru. MS area and can show it to them. I keep praying that God will send the person that can lead me to my son to this website. Please keep us in your prayers! P.S. After posting this bulletin I went back to my page to view the pic of my son. All of a sudden, the Spirit overtook me and I was overcome with that wonderful, dizzying, electrifying, all consuming feeling that I only get when I am in the presence of my Lord. This just tells me that this will lead me to him. I am Praising God for the victory! Hallelujah!!

I'll Fly Away

Being a substitute teacher I was asked to take a kindergarten class yesterday on the spur of the moment. I was excited because I really love the little k-gartners! I had a small group and we were working in the letter "A". I was getting the kids to think of words that begin with an A and all of a sudden this little fellow looked me in the eye and asked me in such a sweet voice, "Mrs. Roxe, Do you go to church?" I lit up at that moment and told him, "Yes, I do." He smiled real big and went right back to work. As the kids were putting their things in their backpacks getting ready to go home he was sitting on the floor working away stuffing his backpack. The aide in there nudged me and said, "Isn't that just wonderful?" I stopped what I was doing to see what she was talking about. There in the floor was the same little fellow singing "I'll Fly Away"! I felt so blessed at that moment. That little voice singing one of my favorite hymns!

Chris' New Bible

I was sitting in the library at school today doing my volunteer work and a fifth grade class came in. There is a child in this class named Chris that started coming to my church because I go there. I was sitting there and all of a sudden a book thudded on the table beside me and Chris said, "Look what somebody put in Mr. Booth's box for me". It was a beautiful blue Bible. He was smiling from ear to ear. He opened it up and there was no inscription on the page where you write in who gave it you and when. Totally anonymous! I ooohed and awwwed over his new Bible and he told me that he loves it and is going to take good care of it. I somehow get the feeling that he thinks that I did it. It wasn't me and I have no earthly idea who gave him that Bible, but I know that they will be richly blessed! The thing is that Chris must have been doing a lot of talking about church for somebody to feel moved to do this for him. I hope that they got the chance to see his smiling face and the light coming from him. I hope that they got to see this child carrying his new Bible around in a public school showing it to everybody. I am thanking God for this person who would give a school child a Bible and for the teacher who got it out of his box took it to him. I just get a warm fuzzy feeling just writing about it. I will talk to Chris at church and let him know that it wasn't me and that whoever it was, he needs to be thanking God for them. Like I always say, "My God is an Awesome God!"
