I know that what I am about to write is going to bring some negative remarks, but I must proceed.

When Jesus died on the cross, He completely, 100% delivered us from all our sins, iniquities, bondage's, curses, death, illness and so and so on. He did it all and needs to do no more for us. It is time that we rise and become the men and women of God that we are to be through Jesus, our Christ and Lord.

What am I saying? Well, I have learned something the past few days. We want God to deliver us from everything that comes against us, but Philippians 2:12 tells us to work out our own salvation. In other words -if you want deliverance you must fight the fight of faith. You must take action. If God were to fight all our battles - we would not grow stronger.

Does this mean we fight alone? OH NO! He is there with us. Fighting along side us; encouraging us to go on. Remember, we can do all  things through Jesus. He is our strength. However, we must truly learn to fight the fight of faith and become the victors we were meant to be.

On MySpace, there has been an ongoing discussion in many Christian groups about Christians celebrating Halloween. I was reading all the posts and one in particular just jumped out at me and me do some thinking and asking God His view point on the whole issue and this is what I got.

The Word says: "That this is the day that the Lord has made, let us be glad and rejoice in it." Everyday belongs to the Lord including October 31st. If we truly believe this, then why are letting satan have one night. It doesn't belong to him - so therefore, let us take it and make it a celebration of Life and the Light.

Pass out candy to the neighborhood children, but include inspiration from God with it. For example:

Life savers - Place on the wrapper - "Jesus is the True Life Saver.

Almond Joy - cover Almond with Jesus is so that it read "Jesus is joy"

Pay Day - Jesus paid the price.

Or, you could go around your neighbor giving Godly treats to your neighbors; being a blessing unto them. In other words; simply be the LIGHT that you are supposed to be in a night that is supposed to be a night of "darkness". For the darkness must flee in the presence of the LIGHT!
