A Cross to bear
Posted On 09/05/2007 21:48:40
Wow!! What a lesson this is for me.

Ask for God's available grace for whatever challenge you face.

Whatever your cross,
whatever your pain,
here will always be sunshine,
after the rain .

Perhaps you may stumble,
perhaps even fall,
But God's always ready,
To answer your call .

He knows every heartache,
sees every tear,
A word from His lips,
can calm every fear .

Your sorrows may linger,
throughout the night,
But suddenly vanish,
dawn's early light .

The Savior is waiting,
somewhere above,
To give you His grace,
and send you His love .

Whatever your cross,
whatever your pain,
"God always sends rainbows ....
after the rain ... "

I just had to share this with you all. I needed this today & thought some one else may too.

Hugs & Blessings,

Maggie

Wandering Persons Alert Petition for Autistic Kids
Posted On 08/28/2007 02:13:11

Did you know that if a child with autism goes missing, they do not call an amber alert?  They dont qualify. The reason is that many autistic children are unresponsive to strangers.

As many of you know, my Bradley was diagnosed with asbergers, a high functioning form of autism.  He will respond to you if you called him. many with aspergers will.

There is a petetion that is being circulated and it is an attempt to get them to change all this.  If you would be as kind to sign it, it would mean alot to all parents of children with autiusm. So Please sign wandering person alert petition to help people with autisum, alzheimer's, or related disorders.

thank you all

your signature is much appreciated and could help save many lifes.

Home At Last
A Valentine For Our Lord
Dear Lord this year
we gave a valentine to you.
A very special valentine
with love thru and thru.
We know that we will miss her---
We already do
For this year on Valentine's Day
We gave our Mother to you
We know she's happy
With you right now
But we weren't prepared
For her departure somehow.
Knowing she's your Valentine
Helps us bear the pain
We know earth's loss
Was truely heaven's gain.
Our preference was to keep her
and hold her close once more
But someday we'll get to hold her
When we reach Heavens Shore

EXPLANATION OF GOD
Posted On 01/19/2007 00:07:39

I was sent this in an email & just had to share it. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.

This one is fabulous!!!  It was written by an 8yr old named Danny Dutton who lives in Chula Vista, CA. He wrote it for his third grade homework assignment, to "explain God". I wonder if any of us could have done as well?

EXPLANATION OF GOD:
"One of God's main jobs is making people. He makes them to replace the ones that die, so there will be enough people to take care of things on earth. He doesn't make grownups, just babies. I think because they are smaller and easier to make. That way he doesn't have to take up his valuable time teaching them to talk and walk. He can just leave that to mothers and fathers."

"God's second most important job is listening to prayers. An awful lot of this goes on, since some people, like preachers and things, pray at times beside bedtime. God doesn't have time to listen to theradio or TV because of this. Because he hears everything, there must be a terrible lot of noise in his ears, unless he has thought of a way to turn it off."

"God sees everything and hears everything and is everywhere which keeps Him pretty busy. So you shouldn't go wasting his time by going over your Mom and Dad's head asking for something they said you couldn't have."

"Atheists are people who don't believe in God. I don't think there are any in Chula Vista. At least there aren't any who come to our church."

"Jesus is God's Son. He used to do all the hard work, like walking on water and performing miracles and trying to teach the people who didn't want to learn about God. They finally got tired of him preaching to them and they crucified him But he was good and kind, like his father, and he told his father that they didn't know what they were doing and to forgive them and God said O.K."

"His dad (God) appreciated everything that he had done and all hishard work on earth so he told him he didn't have to go out on the road anymore. He could stay in heaven. So he did. And now he helps his dad out by listening to prayers and seeing things which are important for God to take care of and which ones he can take care of himself without having to bother God. Like a secretary, only more important."

"You can pray anytime you want and they are sure to help you because they got it worked out so one of them is on duty all the time." "You should always go to church on Sunday because it makes God happy, and if there's anybody you want to make happy, it's God!

Don't skip church to do something you think will be more fun like going to the beach. This is wrong, and besides the sun doesn't come out at the beach until noon anyway."

"If you don't believe in God, besides being an atheist, you will be very lonely, because your parents can't go everywhere with you, like to camp, but God can. It is good to know He's around you whenyou're scared, in the dark or when you can't swim and you get thrown into real deep water by big kids."

"But..you shouldn't just always think of what God can do for you. I figure God put me here and he can take me back anytime he pleases.

And...that's why I believe in God."

(If you believe in God, please pass this on, and may God bless you too.)

Gratitude

Gratitude

Words cannot express my gratitude

For the gifts my Father gives

The Glory of His handiwork is in everything that lives.

He not only made the universe A wondous work of art,

But He put His priceless gift of Love within the human heart

EVENING MEDITATION

I love to sit at close of day and live the anew,

I find the times I've done my best have been so few.

I breathe a prayer to God above that I may careful be

To see the opportunities that He's designed for me.

I want to face the dawn of day with gladness in my heart,

And when there's need for words of cheer, I want to do my part.

A talk with God will show me where I've failed along the way,

Tis then I pray that He will guide Divinely  every day.

Thank you Father

Dear Father thank you for loving us without reservation, and for the daily trials You put before us that our faith may be strengthen, and we may persevere in our journey with You, Lift up our hearts that they may be filled with Your desire to love all as Your Son Jesus instructed us to do. "As" David asked in Psalm 25, Father teach us Your truth, and remember not the sins of our youth, humble us in what is right, and forgive our weakness. Guard our lives and let us not be put to shame, for we take refuge in You. Protect us for our hope is in You. Thank You for giving us Your word to share so no one is left not knowing You.

We ask these things in Your Son Jesus' name.

Amen

The Potter's Wheel

The Potter's Wheel

When you’re troubled and discouraged
In the darkness of the night
When obstruction clouds your vision
And you just can't see the light.

When life’s trials overcome you
And you have nowhere to turn
When you’ve reached the very bottom
There are lessons you must learn.

For the clay is being molded
It’s been twisted, pulled and tossed
It’s been rolled and it’s been pounded
Till the ego has been lost.

He will put you through the furnace
You’ll be tested to the brim
Your life will be in pieces
Till you give your soul to Him.

From blemish to perfection
His hands will form the clay
This human piece of rubble
Must let God have His way.

When you come to Him all battered
In the form of mortal man
When you cry to Him in mercy
You will find the Potter’s hand.

He will grind you, mold and chisel
The friction you will feel
Till He gently carves and shapes you
Upon the Potter’s wheel.

New Year's Wish
Posted On 12/31/2006 09:26:25

Wishing You A Prosperous New Year

A special prayer I'll say in rhyme
I pray that this year will renew minds
Not giving in to the worldly ways
But to walk and talk in our Lord to obey
I praise the Lord for lost sheep brought in
I pray all mankind will keep seeking Him
The physical man lives on natural food
But the spiritman needs the bible to feel good

The word of God helps us to spiritually grow
Giving us the power to defend our very soul
Yes it is Words that are seeds to build our life
With positive words we can sow goodness not strife

Remember too the blessings we reap from giving
Not just in riches but in kindness and clean living
Being a beacon to a dark dying world
Is the blessings we can give back to Our Lord
I pray that God will guide your way
Keeping you safe both night and day
Meeting your needs both spiritual and physical
Trusting in Him for food, clothes and financial

Nothing is too big for our God to solve
It is up to us to build our faith as Job
Start with building on the foundation of Love
For it was in a dream this message came from
He said tell my children I love them all
And I do not wish for any to fall
You see it is love that all hangs from
If Love is perfected all else will line up

Wishing You A Blessed and Prosperous New Year in The Lord!

Thanking all my friends for their support and love this year!

In all things you do in word or deed, do all
in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks
to God and the Father by him.

Subject: A Message In The Rain

One rainy afternoon I was driving along one of
the main streets of town, taking those extra precautions
necessary when the roads are wet and slick.

Suddenly, my son Matthew spoke up from his relaxed
position in the front seat. "Mom, I'm thinking of something."
This announcement usually meant he had been pondering
some fact for a while and was now ready to expound all
that his seven-year-old mind had discovered. I was eager to hear.

"What are you thinking?" I asked.

"The rain," he began, "is like sin and the windshield
wipers are like God, wiping our sins away."

After the chill bumps raced up my arms I was able to respond.
"That's really good, Matthew."

Then my curiosity broke in. How far would this little
boy take this revelation?  So I asked... "Do you notice how
the rain keeps on coming? What does that tell you?"

Matthew didn't hesitate one moment with his answer:
"We keep on sinning, and God just keeps on forgiving us."

I will always remember this whenever I turn my wipers on.
Isn't it comforting to know that God does keep forgiving us?

Pass the comfort on !!!!
