TRY NOT TO CRY
Posted On 02/17/2007 12:05:42
Body:THIS IS BEAUTIFUL!! TRY NOT TO CRY
Body: Body: Body: "THIS IS BEAUTIFUL!! TRY NOT TO CRY''
Body: Sally jumped up as soon as she saw the surgeon come out of the operating room. She said: "How is my little boy? Is he going to be all right? When can I see him?"

The surgeon said, "I'm sorry. We did all we could, but your boy didn't make it."

Sally said, "Why do little children get cancer? Doesn't God care any more? Where were you, God, when my son needed you?"

The surgeon asked, "Would you like some time alone with your son? One of the nurses will be out in a few minutes, before he's transported to the university."

Sally asked the nurse to stay with her while she said good-bye to son. She ran her fingers lovingly through his thick red curly hair.

"Would you like a lock of his hair?" the nurse asked.

Sally nodded yes. The nurse cut a lock of the boy's hair, put it in a plastic bag and handed it to Sally. The mother said, "It was Jimmy's idea to donate his body to the University for Study. He said it might help somebody else. "I said no at first, but Jimmy said, 'Mom, I won't be using it after I die. Maybe it will help some other little boy spend one more day with his Mom." She went on, "My Jimmy had a heart of gold. Always thinking of someone else. Always wanting to help others if he could."

Sally walked out of Children's mercy Hospital for the last time, after spending most of the last six months there. She put the bag with Jimmy's belongings on the seat beside her in the car. The drive home was difficult. It was even harder to enter the empty house. She carried Jimmy's belongings, and the plastic bag with the lock of his hair to her son's room. She started placing the model cars and other personal things back in his room exactly where he had always kept them. She laid down across his bed and, hugging his pillow, cried herself to sleep.

It was around midnight when Sally awoke. Laying beside her on the bed was a folded letter. The letter said:

"Dear Mom, I know you're going to miss me; but don't think that I will ever forget you, or stop loving you, just 'cause I'm not around to say I LOVE YOU. I will always love you, Mom, even more with each day. Someday we will see each other again. Until then, if you want to adopt a little boy so you won't be so lonely, that's okay with me. He can have my room and old stuff to play with. But, if you decide to get a girl instead, she probably wouldn't like the same things us boys do. You'll have to buy her dolls and stuff girls like, you know. Don't be sad thinking about me. This really is a neat place. Grandma and Grandpa met me as soon as I got here and showed me around some, but it will take a long time to see everything. The angels are so cool. I love to watch them fly. And, you know what? Jesus doesn't look like any of his pictures. Yet, when I saw Him, I knew it was Him. Jesus himself took me to see GOD! And guess what, Mom? I got to sit on God's knee and talk to Him, like I was somebody important. That's when I told Him that I wanted to write you a letter, to tell you good-bye and everything. But I already knew that wasn't allowed. Well, you know what Mom? God handed me some paper and His own personal pen to write you this letter. I think Gabriel is the name of the angel who is going to drop this letter off to you. God said for me to give you the answer to one of the questions you asked Him 'Where was He when I needed him?' "God said He was in the same place with me, as when His son Jesus was on the cross. He was right there, as He always is with all His children.

Oh, by the way, Mom, no one else can see what I've written except you. To everyone else this is just a blank piece of paper. Isn't that cool? I have to give God His pen back now. He needs it to write some more names in the Book of Life. Tonight I get to sit at the table with Jesus for supper. I'm, sure the food will be great.

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. I don't hurt anymore. The cancer is all gone. I'm glad because I couldn't stand that pain anymore and God couldn't stand to see me hurt so much, either. That's when He sent The Angel of Mercy to come get me. The Angel said I was a Special Delivery! How about that?

Signed with Love from God, Jesus & Me.

DOES GOD EXIST?

Does God exist?
Body: Does God exist?
Something to think about

Does God exist?

This is sooooo true!!

This is one of the best explanations of why God allows pain and
suffering that I have seen. It's an explanation other people will
understand:

A lady went to a beauty shop to have her hair cut and her nails
painted and trimmed. As the lady began to work, they began to have a
good conversation. They talked about so many things and various
subjects.

When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the
beautician said : "I don't believe that God exists."

"Why do you say that?" asked Sheryl who has MS.

"Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God
doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick
people?
Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be
neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving God who would allow
all of these things."

Then Sheryl thought for a moment, but didn't respond because she
didn't want to start an argument. The beautician just finished her job
and the customer left the shop. Just after
she left the beauty shop, she saw a woman in the street with
long, stringy, dirty hair and not groomed at all. She looked dirty and
unkempt.

Then Sheryl turned back and entered the beauty shop again and she
said to the beautician: "You know what? Beauticians do not exist."

"How can you say that?" asked the surprised beautician. "I am
here, and I am a beautician. And I just worked on you!"

"No!" Sheryl exclaimed. "Beauticians don't exist because if they
did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and be very unkempt,
like that woman outside."

"Ah, but beauticians DO exist! What happens is, people do not
come to me."

"Exactly!"- affirmed Sheryl. "That 's the point! God, too, DOES
exist! What happens, is, people don't go to Him and do not look for Him.
That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."

If you think God exists, send this to other people--If you think
God does not exist, delete it!

14Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers [do not make mismated alliances with them or come under a different yoke with them, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership have right living and right standing with God with iniquity and lawlessness? Or how can light have fellowship with darkness?

THE U IN JESUS

The U in JesusBody:THE U IN JESUS

Before U were thought of or time had begun,
God stuck U in the name of His Son.

And each time U pray, you'll see it's true,
You can't spell out JesUs and not include U.

You're a pretty big part of His wonderful name,
For U, He was born; that's why He came.

And His great love for U is the reason He died.
It even takes U to spell crUcified.

Isn't it thrilling and splendidly grand
He rose from the dead, with U in His plan?

The stones split away, the gold trUmpet blew,
and this word resUrrection is spelled with a U.

When JesUs left earth at His upward ascension,
He felt there was one thing He just had to mention.

"Go into the world and tell them it's true
That I love them all - Just like I love U."

So many great people are spelled with a U,
Don't they have a right to know JesUs too?

It all depends now on what U will do,
He'd like them to know,
But it all starts with U.

Will YOU pass it on.
When Jesus died on the cross he was thinking of you! If you are one of the 7% who will stand up for him, forward this.

93% of people won't forward this

Jan 20, 2007 10:40 AM SubjectFROM A FRIENDBody:One rainy afternoon I was driving along one of the main streets of town, taking those extra precautions necessary when the roads are wet and slick. Suddenly, my daughter spoke up from her relaxed position in her seat. "Dad, I'm thinking of something."

This announcement usually meant she had been pondering some fact for a while, and was now ready to expound all that her six-year-old mind had discovered. I was eager to hear.

"What are you thinking?" I asked. "The rain," she began, "is like sin, and the windshield wipers are like God wiping our sins away."

After the chill bumps raced up my arms I was able to respond. "That's really good, Aspen." Then my curiosity broke in. How far would this little girl take this revelation? So I asked.. "Do you notice how the rain keeps on coming? What does that tell you?" Aspen didn't hesitate one moment with her answer: "We keep on sinning, and God just keeps on forgiving us."

I will always remember this whenever I turn my wipers on. Isn't it distressing to know that when you forward this message you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it to them. Funny how I can be more worried about what other people think of me than what God thinks of me.

Subject The Middle Wife
Body: The Middle Wife (By an Anonymous 2nd grade teacher)

I've been teaching now for about fifteen years. I have two
kids myself, but the best birth story I know is the one I saw in my
own second-grade classroom a few years back. When I was a kid, I
loved Show-and-Tell. So I always have a few sessions with my
students.
It helps them get over shyness and usually, Show-and-Tell is pretty
tame.
Kids bring in pet turtles, model airplanes, pictures of fish they
catch,
stuff like that. And I never, ever place any boundaries or limitations
on
them. If they want to lug it in to school and talk about it, they're
welcome to do so.

Well, one day this little girl, Erica, a very bright , very outgoing
kid,
takes her turn and waddles up to the front of the class with a pillow
stuffed under her sweater.

She holds up a snapshot of an infant. "This is Luke, my baby brother,
and
I'm going to tell you about his birthday. First, Mom and Dad made
him as
a symbol of their love, and then Dad put a seed in my Mom's stomach,
and
Luke grew in there. He ate for nine months through an umbrella cord."

She's standing there with her hands on the pillow, and I'm trying not
to
laugh and wishing I had my camcorder with me. The kids are watching
her in
amazement.

"Then, about two Saturdays ago, my Mom starts saying and going,
'Oh,oh, oh,
oh!' Erica puts a hand behind her back and groans. She walked around
the
house for, like an hour, 'Oh, oh, oh!' Now this kid is doing an
hysterical duck walk and groaning.

"My Dad called the middle wife. She delivers babies, but she doesn't
have a
sign on the car like the Domino's man. They got my Mom to lie down in
bed
like this." Then Erica lies down with her back against the wall.

"And then, pop! My Mom had this bag of water she kept in there in case
he
got thirsty, and it just blew up and spilled all over the bed , like
psshhheew!" This kid has her legs spread and with her little hands are
miming water flowing away. It was too much!

"Then the middle wife starts saying 'push, push, and breathe,
breathe.'
They started counting, but never even got past ten. Then, all of a
sudden,
out comes my brother. He was covered in yucky stuff; they all said it
was
from Mom's play-center, so there must be a lot of stuff inside there."

Then Erica stood up, took a big theatrical bow and returned to her
seat.
I'm sure I applauded the loudest. Ever since then, if it's
Show-and-Tell
day, I bring my camcorder, just in case another Erica comes along.

Now you have two choices...laugh and close this page or pass this
along to
someone else to spread the laughs.

***Live every day as if it is your LAST chance to make someone happy.

TO MUCH TO LOSE

READ GENESIS 37:1-38:30

A FABLE OFF TWO EAGLES IS TOLD. ONE EAGLE WAS ABEL TO OUT-FLY THE OTHER BY A GREAT DISTANCE, AND THE OTHER WAS SIEZED BY JEALOUSY. THE ENVIOUS EAGLE SAW A HUNTER AND APPROACHED HIM, SAYING,"I WISH YOU WOULD BRING DOWN THAT EAGLE." THE HUNTER AGREED TO HELP, BUT HE NEEDED SOME FEATHERS FOR AN ARROW. THE EAGLE PULLED OUT ONE OF HIS OWN FEATHERS AND OFFERED IT TO THE HUNTER. UNFORTUNATELY, THE ARROW DID NOT REACH THE RIVAL EAGLE IT WAS FLYING TOO HIGH.

THE ENVIOUS EAGLE GAVE THE HUNTER MORE AND MORE FEATHERS. BUT THE OTHER EAGLE WAS NEVER PIERCED BY THE HUNTER'S ARROW'S. EVENTUALLY, THE JEALOUS EAGLE HAD LOST SO MANY FEATHERS THAT HE COULD NO LONGER FLY. THE HUNTER THEN TURNED AROUND AND KILLED THE EAGLE WITH AN ARROW MADE WITH ITS OWN FEATHERS.

"WHEN(JOSEPH'S) BROTHERS SAW THAT THEIR FATHER LOVED HIM MORE THATN ANY OF THEM, THEY HATED HIM AND COULD NOT SPEAK A KIND WORD TO HIM(genesis 37:4)

JEALOUSY IS A CANCER OF THE SOUL. BEWARE BEING OVERTAKEN BY FEELINGS OF ENVY.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY: WITH GOD'S HELP, YOU CAN OVERCOME JEALOUSY BEFORE IT OVERCOMES YOU.

FOUR BROTHER'S

READ GENESIS 43:1-36:43

A TALE FO FOUR ROYAL BROTHERS IS TOLD IN INDIA EACH BROTHER DECIDED TO ACQUIRE A SPECIAL ABILITY. THE FIRST BROTHER LEARNED TO CREATE FLESH FROM THE BONE OF ANY CREATURE. THE SECOND COULD CREATE SKIN AND HAIR FROM THE FLESH. THE THIRD COULD CREATE LIMBS FROM WHAT HIS BROTHERS HAD CREATED. AND THE FOURTH BROTHER COULD GIVE LIFE TO ANY CREATURE THAT HAD ITS FORM.

EAGER TO DEMONSTRATE THEIR ABILITIES, THE BROTHERS FOUND A BONE AND USED THEIR NEWFOUND KNOWLEDGE TO GIVE LIFE TO A LION.THEIR FEROCIOUS CREATION AROSE, SHOOK IT'S MANE, AND DEVOURED THE FOUR BROTHERS.

WE TOO HAVE THE ABIITY TO CREATE WHAT CAN DEVOUR US. WHEN WE OFFER OUR AFFECTION TO SOMEONE OR SOMTHING OTHER THAN GOD, WE ARE CREATING AN IDOL---CAPABLE OF CAUSING OUR RUIN.

"JACOB SAID TO HIS HOUSHOLD AND TO ALL WHO WERE WITH HIM, GET RID OF THE FOREIGN GODS YOU HAVE WITH YOU."...SO THEY GAVE JACOB ALL THE FOREIGN GODS THEY HAD....AND JACOB BURIED THEM UNDER THE OAK AT SHECHEM(GENESIS 35:2,4)

CHALLENGE FOR TODAY: DETERMINE TO BURY ANY AFFECTION THAT HAS SUPERSEDED YOUR DESIRE FOR GOD!.

THE PROUD HEART

(READ GENESIS 32:1-33:20)

HUNDREDS OF LIVES WERE LOST AS TWO SHIPPS COLLIDED IN THE ICY WATERS OF THE BLACK SEA. THE CAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT WAS SHEER HUMAN STUBORNNESS. EACH CAPTAIN WAS AWARE OF THE OTHER SHIP'S POSITION. BUT NEITHER CAPTAIN WAS WILLING TO BE THE FIRST TO YIELD--AND EVENTUALLY IT WAS TOO LATE.

DETERMINATION AND A STRONG WILL ARE POSITIVE CHARACTER TRAITS-- AS LONG AS THEY ARE HELD IN BALANCE BY HUMBLE HEART. IN GENESIS 32, WE SEE GOD TEACHING JACOB ABOUT HUMILITY. FIRST, JACOB MUST APPROACH THE TERRITORY OF ESAU--HIS BROTHER WHOM HE DECEIVED YEARS EARLIER. HE FEARS FOR HIS LIFE AND BEGINS TO RECOGNIZE HIS INADEQUACY. AS HE WRESTLES WITH A MESSENGER OF THE LORD,JACOB IS TOUCHED IN A WAY HE WOULD NEVER FORGET.

"WHEN THE MAN SAW THAT HE COULD NOT OVERPOWER HIM, HE TOUCHED THE SOCKET OF JACOB'S HIP SO THAT HIS HIP WAS WRENCHED(GENESIS 32:25)

GOD AT TIMES NEEDS TO "TOUCH" EACH OF US IN A SIMILAR MANNER,TO TEACH US TO STOP DEPENDING ON OURSELVES AND TO START DEPENDING ON HIM.

PRAYER SUGGESTION: LORD, HELP ME TO LEAN ON YOU FOR STRENGTH--NOT ON THE WEAKARM OF FLESH.
