Is the Lord your banner?
Posted On 07/10/2007 12:37:32
Is the Lord your banner?
"Moses built an altar and called it The Lord is my Banner".Exodus 17:15.

The Amalekites came and attacked the Israelites at Rephidim.
God instructed Moses to stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in his hand.
Moses' staff represented something that God said He would use to bring glory to Himself. The staff represented what Moses had done for most of his life-shepherding.
It was his vocation.
When God first called Moses at the burning bush, He told him to pick up the staff; He would perform miracles through it.

God wants to perform miracles through each of our vocations.
At Rephidim, God defeated the Amalekites only when Moses held his staff to Heaven.
It was a symbol of dependence and acknowledgment that Heaven was the source of the Israelites' power.
When he dropped his hand, the power was removed and they began to lose the battle.

Each day we are challenged to reach toward Heaven and allow God to be the source of victory in our life or be defeated.
God calls us to let His banner reign over our life so that others may know the source of our victory.
"Then the Lord said to Moses, 'Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven' ." Ex. 17:14.
The Lord wants those behind us and around us to know that-
He is the source of our power and success.
With each victory is a testimony that is to be shared with our children and our associates.

Is the Lord your banner?
Reach toward Heaven today!
And let His banner wave over your work so that He might receive glory from your life.

Let us lift our voices!

Let us lift our voices!

Have you ever wondered why we were put here on the earth?
The Bible tells us that God has placed us here on this planet-
- to know Him and to glorify Him with our lives!

The Scriptures are filled with reminders-
- to give glory and praise to God.

"What can I offer the Lord for all he has done for me?
I will lift up the cup of salvation and praise the Lord's name for saving me."
Psalm 116:12–13.

There will be times when we are down or depressed or too busy.
And we don't really feel like praising Him.

But we shouldn't praise God because we feel good.
We should praise God because He is good and worthy of our praise.

Let's remember to lift our voices-
- to the One who is praiseworthy!

This is a Brand New Day

This is brand new day

The past has passed. I am breathing in new health, gratitude, peace

and love. I have the tenacity to solve my challenges and create my

goals. I deserve respect, peace, love and the abundant life. I am

not in this world alone. I know other people around me have their

own pain, dreams, emotional issues, values and personal rights.

I'm learning to interact and serve others with respect, integrity and

compassion.

I follow through on what I start. I am worthy, loving and capable of

achieving my personal definition of success. I am strong and know

what I want and what I am willing to work for. My worth is not

defined by marital status, age, race, religion, job, gender, body

image, income, address, car or accomplishments.

This is a brand new day to live without apology and to live with

gratitude, courage, hope, love, discernment and faith. I am growing

each day with inner strength to overcome the challenges of life.

I'm learning everyday to forgive myself and draw emotional

boundaries around those who have hurt me as I release my anger

and forgive them. I am taking better care of myself. When I

experience the "joy stealers" of depression, guilt, low self-esteem,

clutter, fear, doubt, temptation or procrastination ... I am willing to

recognize and resolve my unhealthy patterns. I'm learning that all

relationships are teachers. I am developing wise judgment and

boundaries to know which people in my life are the lifters and which

ones are the leaners. I am using my time, talent and treasures in

better ways because I realize that each day is a gift. Today I am

focused on my goals and priorities because I am learning how

to keep the main thing...THE MAIN THING! I choose to live on

higher ground and not drown in the sea of negativity, self-pity and

unfulfillment. My life is growing in a positive new direction. I am too

blessed to be stressed. I see and feel something new in myself and

in those around me. My possibilities and potential for success are

unlimited. I am discovering the truth that sets me free to be more

whole, relaxed, trusting, active and optimistic. I am always in the

right place at the right time with the right outlook. My very presence

impacts others in a positive way. I am attracting into my life people

and circumstances to take my life to the next level of awareness and

abundance. Those things that use to tempt and tear me apart, no

longer hold so much power over me because I am learning each day

how to stay in the light of God's power, peace, protection, provision

and a positive state of mind. This is a brand new day and I will be

glad in it. Yes, there will be issues out of my control and yet

opportunities to grow in my faith and courage. No matter what

challenges or changes I must face today, this is the day the Lord has

made. I am still here and there is nothing that is going to happen

today that my God and I together can't handle. I will do my best to

reduce my stress and until further notice...God is in charge.

~Something I live by I pray it blesses all who read it..

Joy In The Morning

"For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." Psalm 30:5

There are those times and situations where it seems that weeping has surely come in to lodge for the night. You may not have outward tears, but inside your weeping continues - that deep hurt, that intense ache that will not go away. David knew the experience well, and said, "My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?" He remembered back to when he once went to the house of God with the voice of "joy and praise" but now it was all different. Yet he was able to look ahead to that "joy in the morning," when he declared, "I shall yet praise Him, Who is the health of my countenance, and my God." Psalm 42:3,11

While weeping may be lodging with you, there is a place where you are to be lodging at the same time. "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide (lodge, pass the night) under the shadow of the Almighty," (Ps. 91:1). That is why there is a guarantee that joy will come in the morning. Though it be dark all around, as we ABIDE IN HIM, He works all things together into good. Then shall we sing anew, "Thou hast turned my mourning into dancing: Thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; to the end that my glory (inner self) may sing praises to Thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto Thee for ever," Ps. 30:11-12

Yes, "He washed mine eyes with tears that I might see" wrote the songwriter. Through the weeping of the night the debris of the flesh, the dust of the earthy is washed away. We begin to see more clearly the path of righteousness. Morning comes, and with it triumphant proclamations of victory.

From evening to morning the Saviour leads on,
Through weeping at midnight, till darkness is gone,
Triumphant the singing and joy that is found
When morning bursts forth and its vict’ries abound.

We Must love one another
Posted On 06/30/2007 16:13:55

In todays time we are finding that life can bring many disappointments and hurt, we can become cold and none caring but we must ask God to help us to keep our hearts from bitterness and continue to love even those who hurt us.

I know for my self it can be much easier to hold grudges and just kick people out of our lives that have wronged us or even just made the mistake of hurting us. We must be like Christ He loves beyond understanding ask your self why would a God go to the cross for people who did not even care to know him or love him but His love was greater for us and He with out sin became sin for us..WOW I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THAT DO FOR YOU BUT IT BRINGS ALOT OF THINGS TO THE FRONT FOR ME.

Well the message is we are not Jesus but we are His children and if he has made a difference in your life then show it by loving inspite of the hurts you have had to deal with. Let's bring glory to God.

God bless you all

With out His Love
Posted On 06/29/2007 18:01:37

You know I experienced something that I never thought I would back in Novemeber of 2006 I lost my mother. I must admit nothing in the world could have prepaired for that life changing event. Well lets start at the beginning.

I and my hubby had relocated to Raleigh NC back in march of 2006 and I would make several trips to maryland where my mother lived, well I noticed that my mom was becoming very small she was never real big but bigger then what I was beginning to see , I asked her mommy are you ok she would reply yes baby I am doing ok but she was having terrible stomache cramps. We wanted her to see a doctor as time went on she got even sicker could not eat at all and she was getting very weak.

Well I and my sisters was getting concern because to know my mother you would know she does not like doctors or medicine. We would laugh because my mother would find a herb for anything she was dealing with in her body, well nothing and I mean nothing would have prepaired us for what we was about to walk through. My sister took my mom to the emergency room one night and she was given several test to seewhat was going on, only to recieve the most horrible news of all the doctor did not even want to tell her because my mother was this loving woman, she would love a stray animal back to health.

Well the doctor almost held his own breathe because this woman full of god he did not want to tell her what he had found, well the room was filled with question well doctor tell me what is it said my mom, he said I hate tell you this she reached out for my sisters hand and said go ahead. Well we found cancer in your colon and we are going to do a biopsey to see if it's in your liver yet. My mother looked at the doctor in her own words my Faith is in Jesus, I am not afraid to die but I do  not want to leave my babies. My heart hurts even sharing this, but I need to release this.

Well my sister called me and my other sisters to give us this news if it had not been for the Love of the Lord I would have laid down and die with my mom, I loved her so much and I have been so use to having my mother at my every call, well the Lord has taught me something so great in this experience that His love will bring you through anything, you have got to trust in it and I will tell you these 7months Gods love had comforted my broken heart and has brought me to a place where I want to live again.

Well me and my sister took care of her until her last breathe we honored her in life and unto death. We know she is with the Lord and he showed us so much of His love when we watched this frail but full of the love of Jesus woman get cleaned up to meet her maker what a beautiful sight the heaven and earth met when Jesus picked up his bride, God bless you all and I pray this blesses you, rely on the Powerful Love of Jesus

Fantastic forgiveness

"Fantastic Forgiveness"
Psalm 86:5 "For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee."

A father’s only son was murdered and now his killer was a prisoner on death row. The father wrote this letter to the prisoner:

"You are probably surprised that I, of all people, am writing a letter to you, but I ask you to read it in its entirety and consider its request seriously. As the Father of the man whom you took part in murdering, I have something very important to say to you. I forgive you. With all my heart, I forgive you. I realize it may be hard for you to believe, but I really do.

At your trial, when you confessed to your part in the events that cost my son his life and asked for my forgiveness, I immediately granted you that forgiving love from my heart. I can only hope you believe me and will accept my forgiveness. But this is not all I have to say to you. I want to make you an offer. I want you to become my adopted child. You see, my son who died was my only child, and I now want to share my life with you and leave my riches to you. This may not make sense to you or anyone else, but I believe you are worth the offer. I have arranged matters so that if you will receive my offer of forgiveness, not only will you be pardoned for your crime, but you also will be set free from your imprisonment, and your sentence of death will be dismissed. At that point, you will become my adopted child and heir to all my riches.

I realize this is a risky offer for me to make to you -- you might be tempted to reject my offer completely -- but I make it to you without reservation. Also, I realize it may seem foolish to make such an offer to one who cost my Son his life, but I now have a great love and an unchangeable forgiveness in my heart for you.

Finally, you may be concerned that once you accept my offer you may do something to cause you to be denied your rights as an heir to my wealth. Nothing could be further from the truth. If I can forgive you for your part in my Son's death, I can forgive you for anything. I know you never will be perfect, but you do not have to be perfect to receive my offer. Besides, I believe that once you have accepted my offer and begin to experience the riches that will come to you from me, that your primary (though not always) response will be gratitude and loyalty. Some would call me foolish for my offer to you, but I want you to call me your Father."

Sincerely,
Father of Jesus
