Just a bit about me
I grew up in Oregon and relocated to Washington when I was 13, lived with my Mom and first step father until I was 16 and had enough of the abuse by my step father so I left to live on my own.
I started dating my little brother's best friend when I was 17 and got married to him 2 years later.
While I was pregnant with our oldest son Michael I was diagnosed with cervical cancer, it was found shortly after my first visit with the doctor in my second month of the pregnancy. The doc said that he could not do anything until the baby came, so I spent the next 8 months ( he was a bit stubborn about being ready to be born) worried and scared about the cancer that was growing and spreading everyday.
After the birth the doctor wanted to take everything out and do radiation and kemo, he told me that Michael would be the only child that I would have unless we planned to adopt.
I told him I wanted more children of my own and that I would not allow that kind of radical surgery, and he said as I left the office that I would not live long.
I waited and prayed for the next 2 months and finally I heard that a man that I had listened to on the radio my whole life was going to be preaching in Seattle, I knew that if I could get to that revival that I would be healed by the Lord if only I could get to Brother Schambach and have him lay hands on me and pray.
We drove 4 hours to get there and when we arrived the place was blocked off due to the amount of people that was attending the service, but I knew that we just had to get into the church ( it seemed that satan was going to fight us every way he could) We parked at a gas station and with 2 month old Michael we climbed one fence and over a 5 foot wall to get into the church.
We were directed to a room where a lot of people were sitting in seats and watching Bro. Schambach on a tv, everything else was so full that they were not allowing anyone to get down front to the alter where Bro. Schambach was praying for the sick.
I knew I had to find a way to get down there, I left the room with the tv and made my way to the ladies room and low and behold my prayers were answered one of the doors was not being guarded I went in that door and right down the isle and ended up right in front of Bro Schambach, he asked me what I needed to be healed of and I explained all that the Dr had told me, he did not even let me finish he layed his hands on my head and his wife layed her hands on my stomach and I felt lightening go through my body, and Bro Schambach told me to praise the Lord I was healed, then he told me to go back to my Dr and have him run the tests that he had been running once a month for over a year, and when the results come back as no cancer tell the Dr that by the Stripes I was healed.
I did exactly what he told me to, my Dr did not know what to think he wanted to run more and more tests, he said that it cannot just go away.
That was 20 years ago, I am still cancer free and I have the miracle of Melissa and Matthew as well as my oldest son Michael.
I have been through my marriage to warren with his lady friends, his battle with alcohol, and still I find reasons to wake up and praise my Lord for another beautiful day.
I have been through the pits of hell with a daughter who is addicted to coke, and meth, as well as being an alcoholic all at the age of 17, all of the physical, mental and verbal abuse that she can heap on me, all of this and I always have a reason to wake up singing the praises of my Lord.
It seems that satan will do anything to bring us down, but we don't have to sit by and say pity me, we can stand up in the name of Jesus rebuke satan and keep singing the praises of our Lord.
I hope that this might help someone that might be going through what I have, or am going through right now, just keep singing the praises of our Lord, and you will always come out on the winning end.
God Bless
Becky
