From Acid Reflux to Cardio Myopathy

It all began Wednesday, January 3, 2007. Eating wrecklessly for years and a diagnosed diabetic.

Garlic, caffeine, fatty foods, little exercise. My first stomach attack was mild after eating 3 cloves of garlic for lunch on toast.

Another attack the next day after drinking coffee, but had troule breathing, too. And then, Friday, a ride in the ambulance to the emergency room with some pressure in my chest! God showed me signs that He was with me. My ER room was 57; the phone extension was "3"57, and a single magazine in the rack had big numbers on the cover of "4"57. 2 friends came, church came to pray and the numbers were interpreted. God is with me. It's my Jubilee Year (1957 and Leviticus 25:10)! There's gonna be a "Family Reunion". My doctor was Dr Gabriel....

They kept me; I stablized for 16 hours, and sent me home Saturday. No sugar, no caffeine. I asked God to forgive me. I rededicated my life to Him according to Romans 12:1.

My doctor was Shifra Tyberg. She had temple til sundown Saturday. I didn't see her until 8 pm Saturday night. I was upset because of the delay. But a friend said that God had something else for me to do while I was in the hospital. An incredible thing happened...

This Orthodox Jewish doctor stopped in the midst of her diagnosis and said, "This is off the subject but...does He speak to you audibly or do you see words?" I said, "Sometimes He speaks and other times He shows me signs." She said, "Interesting." I had 3 witnesses to this - my husband, Bob and my friends Valerie who is a consumer attorney and Melissa who just got out of Grant Hospital in Columbus, Ohio (which is where I was) 2 months ago because of an auto accident.

I woke up at 7 a.m. to ready for church, Sunday, January 7th. Took 1 bite of Cheerios and BOOM! Another attack and a ride in the ambulance to the emergency room where I met Dr Donald Wood. He took care of Bob when he had his Acid Reflux episodes in 2005. I was admitted. They started me on liquid Nexium. Dr Amsterdam, the cardiologist, ordered a full-blown stress test, CAT scan of the chest, and my doctor, Dr Stack, ordered an ultrasound on the gall bladder, Monday, January 8th. Everything looked clean. Went through the stress test with flying colors. I found out I could RUN! I was released again and began my regiment of Nexium, daily. The doctor ordered an echo cardiogram as an outpatient test and a Resting MuGA test on January 15th.

On the way to all these tests, the Lord spoke to me and gave me an unction to go online, when I got home and see what positions were available at Grant Hospital. I've been waiting on the Lord to show me employment, again, since retiring in 2002 at the age of 45, as I am compelled to fulfill Deuteronomy 8:18.

Thursday evening, January 11th, we were eating our venison pot roast and as a friend was praying for me over the phone, I began to have pain in my stomach, so I called the doctor and he prescribed another medication called Reglan and an additional dose of Nexium.

I got through that night, but the next evening that Friday, I got sick and we drove to ER and I ended up in the emergency room at 1 a.m. Saturday. They gave me a gastronal CAT scan and it came out clean. So the doctor recommended taking half of the new prescription with the double dose of Nexium. We discussed the events and it may have appeared to be an overdose of the new prescription. When I got home that morning, I had some breakfast and rested and took a half tablet and that was the last of Reglan. I hated it.

Sunday, I stepped out and called my niece who I haven't spoken to since 1999. She claimed Bob and I were too religious. So we chatted. This is part of Leviticus 25:10 and James 2:20. She's looking forward to having dinner here, soon and I can meet her son, Layne.

My diet changed drastically. I added Apple Cidar Vinegar "tea", twice a day on occassion and stablized once again. I was counting calories. I was eating correct portions out of the American Diabetic Association's food groups. Since September 2006, I've lost 28 pounds - 8 during the holidays and 20 through these past 3 weeks, and I've been eating 3 times a day and sometimes snacks inbetween meals.

Monday, January 15th, I took a test at the cardiologist's called an echocardiogram. Monday night, I had an attack. I had trouble breathing, pressure in my chest and a slight pain in my stomach. I called the doctor. EMS came and I stablized at home. Dr Tyberg was on call. When she called back, I told her I chose to stay home and she said to me, "Is life worth living?" I immediately answered, "YES!" and she said, "Get to the hospital. You need at least 6-12 hours observation because of the pressure in your chest." So everything started coming back and we called the ambulance once again and they squirted me with Nitro.

Our prayer was that God would lead the medical staff to what the problem was. I was back in Room 57! Full circle. The ER doctor, Dr. Donald Wood, was adamant about finding out what this problem was. He had seen me before in the ER. He found results of the echocardiogram, as all the doctors are tied into Grant Hospital. He saw some readings, but not all the results were in. They admitted me for the 3rd time in 2 weeks. My doctor, Dr Stack, was on the ball, too. They put on a Nitro patch.

Tuesday, Dr Perrill, Dr Amsterdam's partner in cardiology, did a catheterization. The results came back. There were no blockages, no heart disease and no heart damage. He ordered another echocardiogram and found that my heart muscle was weak. They called it cardiomyopathy. They started me on 2 medications and kept me for observation. I was released Thursday, January 18th and already had a doctor's appt scheduled for the next day, which was timely and necessary.

So, the doctor and I went through everything. Take it easy, take the meds, Nitro if the chest pressure or pain comes back.

Yesterday, I had a Resting MuGA test. It measures the blood flowing out of the heart muscle. February 22nd is an endoscopy to see if there are any liasions on my esophagus, stomach lining or an ulcer. And March 3rd is my 6 week check-up with Dr Stack. He will be working on the cardio therapy I'm to have. This morning, I had blood work done. My cancer-screenings are past due so I need those done. I have some dental work needing completed that happened before all this took place.

My Space - WARNING
Posted On 08/30/2006 16:46:14
G Craig Lewis who is a minister warning people about Hip Hop http://exministries.org just informed us, Friday night here in Columbus, that he's talked to the people of MySpace.com to see what all the "hype" is about it. The creators of the space are wiccans, warlocks and witches. To start the space, they put in 150,000 ficticous IDs to generate a "fake" environment of popularity for others to get caught up in it. It's a stronghold. Beware! The Amazing Deck of Cards
Posted On 08/30/2006 16:43:03
The young soldier knew it was Sunday. As he was sitting there, he got out an old deck of cards and laid them out across his bunk. Just then an army sergeant came in and said, "Why aren't you with the rest of the platoon?" The soldier replied, "I thought I would stay behind and spend some time with the Lord." The sergeant said, "Looks to me like you're going to play cards." The soldier sad , "No, sir. You see, since we are not allowed to have Bibles or other spiritual books in this country, I've decided to talk to the Lord by studying this deck of cards." The sergeant asked in disbelief, "How will you do that?" "You see the Ace, Sergeant? It reminds me that there is only one God. The Two represents the two parts of the Bible, Old and New Testaments. The Three represents the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost. The Four stands for the Four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. The Five is for the five virgins there were ten, but only five of them were glorified. The Six is for the six days it took God to create the Heavens and Earth. The Seven is for the day God rested after making His Creation. The Eight is for the family of Noah and his wife, their three sons and their wives - the eight people God spared from the flood that destroyed the Earth. The Nine is for the lepers that Jesus cleansed of leprosy. He cleansed ten, but nine never thanked Him. The Ten represents the Ten Commandments that God handed down to Moses on tablets made of stone. The Jack is a reminder of Satan, one of God's first angels, but he got kicked out of heaven for his sly and wicked ways and is now the joker of eternal hell. The Queen stands for the Virgin Mary. The King stands for Jesus, for he is the King of all kings. When I count the dots on all the cards, I come up with 365 total, one for every day of the year. There are a total of 52 cards in a deck; each is a week - 52 weeks in a year. The four suits represent the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. Each suit has thirteen cards - there are exactly thirteen weeks in a quarter. So when I want to talk to God and thank Him, I just pull out this old deck of cards and they remind me of all that I have to be thankful for." The sergeant just stood there. After a minute, with tears in his eyes and pain in his heart, he said, "Soldier, can I borrow that deck of cards?" Please let this be a reminder and take time to pray for all of our soldiers who are being sent away, putting their lives on the line fighting. Prayer for the Military. Please keep the wheel rolling. It will only take a few seconds of your time, but it'll be worth it to read on.... Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them. Bless them and their families. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen. When you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our servicemen and women all around the world. There is nothing attached, but this can be very powerful. Of all the gifts you could give a Soldier, prayer is the very best one. Recorded by Wink Martindale (but I believe it started with the Holy Ghost)

The Great Awakening
Posted On 08/30/2006 16:37:36
=== Original Message === From "Malachi" greeting in the name of the most high JAH IYESUS KRISTOS (Jesus Christ). MY QUESTION IS THIS: DO YOU THINK THAT IT IS RIGHT NOT TO PRAY FOR ALL OF HIS CHILDREN, NOT JUST HERE IN THE USA WHICH TO ME IS THE MOST GOD- FORSAKEN PLACE ON HIS GREEN EARTH BUT ALL OVER THE WORLD? NO. I'M NOT A MUSLEM OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT; I JUST GET TIRED OF SO-CALLED UPTIGHT CHRISTIANS BASHING EVERYONE THAT HASN'T ACCEPTED HIM, IYESUS KRISTOS (Jesus Christ) AS THEIR PERSONAL SAVIOR. MY NAME IS MALACHI. I HAVE A THE FULL FAITH AN LOVE OF IYEUS KRISTOS (Jesus Christ) IN MY HEART AND NOTHING CAN SHAKE MY FAITH. "Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. 8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. 9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;...." Romans 1:7-9 The Internet allows us to reach people we may never have been able to contact before and gives those who have crossed our path as well as us crossing theirs, a way to continue to communicate. Lu 23:34 - Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. The Bible says in Psalm 122:6 to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. It also says that we are to pray for one another (James 5:16) and to pray and believe as if we've already received the manifestation of our prayers (Matthew 21:21). I am called to intercession as unctioned by the Holy Ghost (Isaiah 6). If I said to God, "Lord, send me" and He prepared me for intercession, I believe prayer is the most important task we must do and The Great Commission will be fulfilled as we open our mouths to those that are already ripe for the harvest. Many people are not equipped as so many have itching ears and shepherds are willing to accomodate them for things like attendance and monies. But the Bible says that there will be a great falling away and that we are to watch for false teachings. We are to gain information so we have knowledge to gain wisdom else the people will perish. Romans 10:14 and going into Romans 11 should be a warning to the Body of Christ. I feel your heart. Love and prayers, Carolyn

The quote of the month of July is by Jay Leno: "With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?!!?"

Hillbilly Ten Commandments
Posted On 08/30/2006 16:35:24
I'm a hillbilly with roots in Pomroy, Ohio on the Ohio River. From one hillbilly to 'nother: People in Tennessee have trouble with all those "shalls" and "shall nots" in the Ten Commandments. Folks just aren't used to talking in those terms. So, some folks in middle Tennessee got together and translated the "King James" into "Jackson County" language: The Hillbilly's Ten Commandments (posted on the wall at Cross Trails Church in Gainesboro, TN.) (1) Just one God. (2) Honor yer Ma & Pa. (3) No tellin' tales or gossipin'. (4) Git yourself to Sunday meetin' (5) Put nothin' before God. (6) No foolin' around with another fellow's gal. (7) No killin.' (8) Watch yer mouth. (9) Don't take what ain't yers. (10) Don't be hankerin' for yer buddy's stuff. Now that's kinda plain an' simple, don't ya think? Y'all have a nice day.
