Heyy!! You guys, I just need some prayers! I feel that God and I arenât connecting anymore. I know heâs still there, but I just donât have the urge to read the bible and talk to other people about him.
I need some advice on how to answer the question for a friend of mine. I think its kind of hard to explain, thats why i need the help! Whats it mean to have the faith of a child? Is it like an imaginary friend?
i dont know what to do anymore...right now its like...1:56 in the MORNING and i just cannot get her out of my head. sleeping is usless, im asking God for help but i dont know if he's answering me . i cant think straight, my mind goes to mush whenever i hear her voice... . her laugh...oh boy, i cant even describe in words how it makes me feel...but above all, her spoken words...whenever i hear her voice, even if its for not even a second. theres only one option for me to do. yet i cant even do that! marriage is a no, i dont know if God has this person in my life for marriage purposeses...but you never know... . i just want to tell her how i TRULY feel about her...but the words cannever escape past my tongue. i can only imagine how im going to feel whenever those "firsts" are with a girl...like holding hands...and dining together...
I wiped my brow from the sweat and blood. The smell of stale urine and gasoline made my nose twitch. My senses went ludicrous as I found my way down the dark hallway. The cold and wet cement walls seemed to sting my nerve endings as my fingers came in contact. My only thoughts that clouded my mind was finding my sister Amber. A fifteen year old girl shouldnât be left alone anytime now a days. Ever since the United States was destroyed the world went into a twenty year depression. Now finally free of those terrible years the UN gave the support of an evil man. Personally, just to make it sound more simply put. The world has another Hitler. I stopped moving and disappeared into the shadows as the hallway echoed with what sounded like a thousand boots running with the clatter of guns. &nb sp; &nb sp; &nb sp; ﻌ I gulped in the putrid air as I quickly made my way across the dark room. The explosions outside gave me time to push things to the side without warning anybody of my presence. As I squeezed between the door and the frame the sudden burst of rapid gun fire made me jump and stop. The sound was apparent only for a couple of seconds until silence took over once again. I moved out of the doorway and followed a dark hallway. The immediate stench of stale urine and gasoline made my nose contract. As I fixed my bra under my tank top. I kept moving, following the cold and wet wall. I am an international fugitive, were the last words I told him. I should have just kept my mouth shut and left without saying goodbye. Would he care enough to search for me if I did that? Part of me ached for him to be with me right now. The other part of me is telling me to forget him, Iâll find someone better. As I contemplated the argument, something caught my sneaker and I went crashing to the ground. &nb sp; &nb sp; &nb sp; ﻌ I tried to lift myself as the pain in my right calf and arm were ablaze. Thankfully the peacekeepers didnât notice me when they opened fire on the hallway. Iâm guessing to save time they shoot down hallways or rooms that are supposed to be empty and keep moving. I held my breath as I heard footsteps. I managed to lean against the wall and pull myself up to a standing position as a dark figure collided with me. A high pitched scream lit the hallway as pounding fists kept beating my chest. I held my balance as best I could and held Amberâs wrists. âAmber!â I whispered as she immediately stopped at the sound of my voice. Then came the crying. Amber clung into me burying her face in my chest as I comforted her. âDonât ever leave me again like that! Or Iâll kill you myself!â Amber said through choked up sobs. âIts alright, youâre safe now. Are you hurt?â I asked now aware that Amber had stopped crying and stared at me blankly. âAm I hurt?!â Amber cried as her voice echoed through the entire hallway. I tired to keep her mouth shut with my hand but she had quite a grip and I pulled away quickly. âLets get out of here then.â I said trying to move my leg but failing as Amber caught me. âFollow me.â Amber said as she let me lean on her shoulder making her way through the darkness. A couple of minutes later and we were in the room I had left Amber before. The explosions outside seemed to worsen and glow brighter as I kept pressure on my wounds. âGimme your shirt.â Amber said dropping me in an ancient wooden chair. Before I could begin to take off my shirt Amber sighed and grabbed my shirt ripping it along the bottom. Amber then ripped some more until it came loose and wrapped and tied the cloth around my wounds. She pulled extra tight until I yelped from pain. âLets get going.â Amber said walking over to a hole in the wall leading to the outside mayhem. âWe cant go yet.â I proclaimed as I tried to stand. âAnd why not?â Amber snootily asked. âIâll give you two reasons.â I said holding up a finger. âOne, is the bombs outside. Shrapnel could be flying every which way.â I held up a second finger. âAnd two is that I have the only key to restoring the only hope anyone has in the entire world.â I said limping towards her. âAnd what would this âkeyâ help restore?â Amber asked, arms folded as she stared out at the dark lit sky with sparkles of bombs going off in the distance. âThe United States of America.â I said as a frown came across her face. âWho do you think we are? God?â âNo, but with his help we can do it before the government ruins our only chance of bringing it back.â I said starting my way outside and into the darkness. I listened as Amber quietly followed holding my arms as I guided us both towards the model 2011 BMW. Amber helped me into the drivers seat as she ran to the passengers side and buckled in. The keys were still in the ignition as I turned them, the engine gave a loud roar. I pulled the stick forward into drive as I guided the car through the rubble. About three hours later we arrived at the deserted runway. The dark and cold scene of broken down planes, abandoned vehicles and scattered bodies lay amidst. I pulled the car carefully into what was left of hangar twelve. A small commercial plane was left untouched inside. As Amber held one hand on the glove compartment as well the other on the door handle. She searched the area as I stopped the car in front of an office door. I scanned the vicinity and opened the door. The click of locks releasing from inside the door echoed throughout the dead hangar. I quietly left the door ajar as I made my way up to the door. Amber was at my side fumbling in her jeans pocket for the keys. She kept her hand steady as she pulled the ring of keys from her pocket, chose the right key and unlocked the door as I stepped behind her. Blocking the view of her body from any suspecting eyes. I scanned the darkness when suddenly the gleam of something shiny moved about fifty yards away atop some crates. I held my hand firmly atop of Ambers who already had the doorknob turned a little. I took a deep breath in and released it simultaneously turning the knob and pushing Amber inside as the shockwave of machine gun fire erupted behind us. I slammed the door as the bullet proof glass took a beating against the gunfire. Amber scurried up on her knees and crawled towards a wooden box underneath a large table. She plunged her hand in the box and came out with a keycard. Amber quickly crawled back towards me as the gunfire stopped. She nodded as I got on my knees and leaned against the door. The solid metal door had held together from most of the impact. I held my hand on the doorknob as I listened for any noise or sounds to alert me of any presence, nothing. The gunman was still in position, training their gun on the door. We had to get to the little commercial plane right outside the door. I opened the door an inch or so as I kept a foot back incase of another bullet burrier. I caught a glance at Amber sliding something through the crack in the door. I then heard a little ping and saw a bright light stream through the crack. Once the light was gone I opened the door and ran for the planeâs door. I jumped and pulled down the planeâs stairs as Amber left the door to the office ajar. I ran up the steps as Amber clamored up behind me. Once inside I helped Amber up and pulled up the stairs locking the door and listening to the bolts going into place inside the door. We both were silent. A few seconds passed by until an electrical jolt went through my left leg. âThe light is gone,â I whispered taking the card from Amberâs hand. As I slowly crept towards the cockpit. I opened the little door and ducked inside. I found the slot for the keycard and pushed the card in. Lights immediately lit up on the control board. I quickly sat in the pilotâs seat as Amber jumped in the seat next to me. âYou donât know how to fly a plane,â Amber whispered. I silenced her with my hand in her face. I knew I couldnât fly the plane. But with the keycard in place. I could at least get the plane off the ground. If we get in the air, and thatâs a big if, Iâll figure out what to do from there. I just couldnât explain that to her because any little sound could alert the man hiding in the darkness that we were in the plane. A faint hum came from the control board. âStrap in and lean back.â I whispered as I strapped in with one hand on the accelerator. As the planeâs power cell went to full power I knew once I let the accelerator lever down the plane is going to collapse hangar twelve like a toothpick. I slammed the lever down as we blew right out of the hangar. Sparks flew as the planes wings barely touched the hangar doors. As the plane rocketed forward. I pulled up on the wheel taking the plane into a violent shaking rhythm. We were probably a giant torpedo heading upwards. As the plane climbed up farther in the air, I wondered how long it would take until the government spotted this plane. As I loosened my grip on the wheel, the plane leveled out. I turned to Amber who had a sickening look on her face. âYou ok?â I asked as Amber jumped from her seat and ran to the bathroom. I sighed and checked the gauges. If anything went wrong, hopefully something would flash or blink. That ball Amber had thrown out the door back at the hangar was the last of our spark plugs. A high intensity ball which makes such a loud piercing noise and bright light that it makes the person who is directly in front of it to lose hearing and eyesight for a couple of minutes without realizing it. In addition, when Amber used it, it made my leg jolt from a sensor in my calf. It told me when the time was over and the personâs mobility was back. A couple of minutes later and the radio came to life warning me that I must land now or I will be fired upon. âNow it begins,â I said to myself. I knew there was no way to hide because even a kite in the air would set air patrol on a riot. âI am afraid I am going to have to deny that request.â I said in the radio. The government would stop this plane at all costs. Unlimited weapons and space in the sky with one target? We were as good as dead. I had exactly three hours until this plane arrived in the United States. The roar of jet engines behind me gave me a chill down my spine as I heard the bathroom door unlock. âAmber! Strap in now!â I cried as I situated myself in my seat to prepare for a very fast ride. Amber hustled in her seat and buckled in. Her face went pale as the sight of fighter planes ripped through the sky at incredible speeds. I pushed a couple of buttons and flipped a couple of switches as power cells gained full power. âDonât do it Tristan!â Amber yelled as the G-forces started to build up against her body. I felt huge amounts of pressure forcing itself against my body as I kept pulling forward so the plane would keep going faster and faster. I started to feel light headed and was afraid I was going to black out. I quickly flipped the switches back and turned on autopilot as everything went dark. &nb sp; &nb sp; &nb sp; ﻌ I jumped to a startling noise, Tristan snoring. I leaned forward with my head in my hands as a splitting headache erupted on my head. I unbuckled and stood up from my seat and balanced myself by grabbing my chair. I walked over to the bathroom and walked in catching myself on the metal shelf below the mirror. I sighed and felt a cold breeze crawl up my legs giving me goose bumps. I looked myself in the mirror staring at the distraught face. My makeup smeared and a bloody nose. I wiped my nose on my arm and washed my face in the sink. The cold water felt good on my warm hands. I walked back to the cockpit and stared out at the clouds. The sun started to peak beyond a mountain of fluffy looking clouds. A smear of red and orange glowed on the horizon. I knocked Tristanâs chair and he jumped up. âHurry up and land this thing.â I said strapping into my seat again. Tristan wiped his nose and drool and took the wheel. âItâs a good thing mom let me watch those plane movies.â Tristan said laughing to himself. I ignored him and stared out at the sky. âThe only hope to restore a country so great and Iâm the person to do it.â âGod help us all.â Tristan replied. I gave him a sneer and crossed my arms. âIts not my fault mom and dad did this to me.â I said watching the sunâs glow shine brighter the closer we came. âAmber, we have had this conversation over and over again.â Tristan said lowering the plane. âAll Iâm saying is that they should have told me way before fifteen. And why didnât they stick a chip in your skull? Huh?â I asked now annoyed. âBecause, it seems that the world still has a regard of women to be theâŠdense species.â âWhat?!â I shouted, unbuckling myself and standing next to Tristanâs chair. âThatâs just what I think, no offense to you.â Tristan said holding up a hand to block my face. I swatted it away and pouted. âWell at least women donât nuke each other to oblivion.â I remarked sitting back down and buckling in. âYea, yea. Just stay seated until we get to the ground.â Tristan said as I felt the plane descend. âWhat would happen if I removed this keycard? Huh?â I said trying to get on Tristanâs nerves. Tristan laughed, âIf you do take it out. Prepare for a crash landing.â âWhatever.â I said gripping the arms of my seat. I quickly thought of something so say but pushed it aside. Not while heâs concentrating on trying to land this thing. As Tristan pulled the wheel forward I felt the plane shudder and start to vibrate as the ground came in plain view once the clouds cleared. A devastated highway lay below us. âYou have got to be kidding.â I said as I sat up straight in my seat trying to back up as the ground came in fast. My heart was beating faster as Tristan grunted with the wheel shaking violently. I held onto my seat as Tristan tried to pull the plane into a straight landing position. As we almost hit the ground, the brief millisecond I had thought of what heaven would be like. &nb sp; &nb sp; &nb sp; ﻌ The shatter of glass and the grinding of metal made my body go into a standstill. My arms and legs stiffened as I was lurched forward. The plane came sliding onto the destroyed highway but was sliding right into a giant hole. I snapped out of my trance and pushed the big pedal for brakes. The plane immediately shook so violently it felt that my arms would come loose. The wheel quavered as I held on for dear life. My arms and hands went numb as the plane slowed down but the vibrating would not stop. I heard Amber scream something but the sheer noise of metal and glass was too overpowering for me to hear anything else. A sudden lurch made my body swing forward and my head went in contact with the control board. I heard glass shatter as I leaned back upright. I held a hand to my forehead as I looked out the shattered windshield. Nothing, everything lay dark and still. âOh God,â Amber whispered as everything else went quiet. I abruptly realized we were sitting ducks. âLets go!â I yelled getting up from my seat and running for the door. I pushed it open and Amber came crawling out as we landed on the ground. âOver there!â Amber cried pointing to a burned truck lying on its side. We quickly ran to the truck and ducked inside. A few seconds later the shock wave of the explosion made me shield my eyes and hold Amber to my body as the plane blew. A surge of smoke and hot wind came our way. Thankfully, the burned metal of the truck kept most of it from hitting us. I waited a few minutes until releasing Amber and looking at the destruction. The smoldering smoke of the plane probably went a thousand feet. âThat missile was following us since the beginning of the trip.â I said as we stood up and walked from behind the truck. âWe gotta move, they will be here soon.â I said starting to walk along the highway. It didnât take long until the sound of helicopters were apparent. âWeâre about four miles from the station. Once they donât find our bodies they will be ahead of us in no time.â I said starting to run; Amber followed, but was tired. I ignored the pain in my leg, the adrenaline rush from the plane explosion and running made my mind turn to whatâs more important. Amber. &nb sp; &nb sp; &nb sp; ﻌ Tears started to fill my tear ducts as Tristan kept running ahead. I knew he wouldnât leave me but my tears kept getting in the line of my eyesight. I knew I could beat Tristan in a race but there was too much going on to even think about that right now. Exhaustion and misery overtook my body in a sudden emotion. I stopped and fell to my knees. Tristan seemed to glance back and stopped. He turned around and yelled something to me but I couldnât hear him. I let the tears stream down my face as I shuddered from grief. I felt myself being lifted into the air as I noticed Tristan picked me up. He tried to run with me in his arms but I was too big for him to do both. âAmber! Listen to me!â Tristan cried but I was done listening, I was done running. âOne more mile! Just one more! You see it Amber? There it is! Weâre here!â Tristan cried laughing, as I stared at just a mound of dirt in the middle of burned and ruined skeletons of buildings, cars, debris. All of it looking the same as it did on TV. Tristan dropped to his knees at the mound of dirt dropping me as well. I felt a sharp pain as I landed on my hip. I scrambled to a sitting position as Tristan dug in his pocket for something. I watched in a daze as helicopters, military vehicles and men came our way. Tristan kept muttering something to himself as he kept searching in his pockets. âTristanâŠâI whispered, pointing to the men coming. He wasnât listening. Tristan seemed to have found what he was looking for because he shrieked for joy as he dug a little hole and stuck something in it. The mound gave way as pressurized air released from the mound and Tristan pulled a latch and opened the ground. He grabbed my hand and dragged me to the hole. I jumped down and collapsed onto the metal floor below as Tristan locked the latch and jumped down the ladder. âDerrick!â Tristan yelled his voice echoing down the long corridor. I listened to rapid footsteps as derrick came into view from the dim lighting. âHi Amber,â he said gasping for breath. &nb sp; &nb sp; &nb sp; ﻌ I watched as Amberâs eyes lit up as she shrieked Ryan and jumped up to hug him. They embraced and Amber kissed Derrick passionately. âHey!â I screamed as they both jumped. Derrick seemed confused as Amber hung onto him staring at me. âWe donât have much time.â I said. Amber looked at Derrick and then jumped back and seemed embarrassed. âSorryâŠI thought you were someone elseâŠâ Amber said looking sheepishly. I ignored her and pushed her forward as Derrick followed. âEverything ready?â I asked as I heard a saw whining from behind us. âYeah, just get her on the table.â Derrick replied surprisingly keeping up with me. Derrick was a slender young man about my age but was in no shape to do any physical exercise. His insides were deteriorating as we ran to a glass room. His disease was unknown but that was probably because no one has yet to diagnose him. Heâs been living in this underground ever since the big blast that wiped this city to nothing. Only survivor that we knew of. âHow long will it take?â I asked as I helped Amber on a metal table. Medical equipment was already in place next to the table. âI can do it in twenty-five minutes.â Derrick said getting surgeon gloves and a mask on. Amber gave me a worried look as I reassured her with a nod. âTake care of her,â I said running outside the room and closing the door. Derrick immediately put Amber under and started with the surgery. The corridor we came out of opened up to a giant glass bubble where Derrick and Amber were now. There was only one more escape route and that was a little tunnel leading outside about 200 yards from the hole we entered. In addition, before that little tunnel there was a tiny room full of weapons. The room smelled of must and humid air. I pulled the mini gun from the wall and grabbed the box of ammo. This stuff was old and undeniably out of date, but it was the only thing Derrick could find in this world. I ran to the corridor and saw sparks down the hall. I glanced back at derrick inside the bubble as he worked quickly on Amber. I loaded the gun and set the box of ammo on the ground next to my feet. This probably wouldnât do anything to the men who came down that ladder but it would at least slow them down. An explosion erupted from the latch and a cloud of smoke blocked my view of any bodies. I pulled the trigger as the gun jumped back from the jolt. I held it tight in my grip as bullets kept pounding down the corridor. I glanced down at the box of ammo; it was going quick as the smoke kept growing at the other end. I felt and heard a hard click, out of ammo. I dropped the gun and stared down the corridor. Smoke still filled the end. âDone!â I heard Derrick call as I kept laying down fire. I waved Amber and Derrick to go. A spark of light and I fell back on my butt as I felt an immense pain in my forehead, as I blacked out for a minute. I jumped up with another burst of light and I quickly dropped to the ground and crawled to the wall. I hide behind the wall facing the bubble. It looked like Derrick was done but I couldnât tell. I should have checked the time. I jumped up and ran towards the little room again. I took out everything that was left. A shogun, a few pistols, and an M16; ancient weapons of destruction. I sprinted across the room to the beginning of the corridor and started again down the hallway with the M16. the gun fired rapidly as I saw figures beginning to merge from the smoke. The soldiers fired back with silent guns. No popping noises, they were silent killers in this silent country. I let another round down the hallway as I watched a solider drop to the floor. That made it seem possible to beat them. I kept pounding down the corridor and stopping as they fired on me.. Once the clip for the M16 was gone I grabbed the shotgun and stuck the pistols in my pocket. I backed up slowly as I fired round after round of shotgun shells into the corridor. I backed into the little room and dropped the shotgun as I used the last bullet. I crawled down the tunnel as fast as possible. I quickly came out into the fresh air. I looked around and nobody was in sight. No military, Amber, or Derrick. âYou guys!â I yelled just above a whisper. No response. I cant be losing my mind. I jumped out of the hole and stood up with the guns in my pocket. No one in sight, the scenery looked like nobody has been there in years, I felt alone. I woke up with a start. I then felt the end of a gun bucked against my head. I fell back and landed hard on the ground. Radioâs and communicators went off as soldiers had me surrounded. I was still in the underground. The bubble was empty as soldiers and military officers walked about. âWhat do you want with me?â I asked trying to sit up and get my eyesight to focus. âShut up!â A man yelled and I was kicked in the stomach. I curled up and faced the wall as the men talked. âOk, thank you sir. We will be right there.â A man said into his communicator. I turned to try and focus on him and watched as the old thin man walked towards another man in uniform. The global peace uniform, which I had come to despise. The old man looked like he was whispering to the other man but I could hear perfectly what he said. âThey are already in D.C. Get your men to scout the area and make sure to destroy it.â The man said and they separated. I felt a rough hand grab my shirt and pull me up. âWell, well, well. It seems that we have some American scum still left.â The man who was talking before said walking up to me with an advanced gun in his hand. Most of the weapons used by the global peace keepers and military were top secret from the general public. So to see something like that was a privilege. âAmericans, humph.â The man said turning the gun to my head. ﻌ &nb sp; My heart couldnât stop beating so fast. It was either the adrenaline rush or the anxiety of the fear of death. I quickly tip toed over the rubble and leaned against a crumbled cement wall. I sneaked a glance to the capital building. It was in ruins but thatâs where I needed to get. And of course the place was crawling with global peace keepers. I stuck my hand in my pocket and felt the chip that derrick had removed from my skull. Surprisingly Derrick had fixed my head and was out in I would say ten minutes but with my senses all screwed up from the gas, who knows. Derrick hadnât even used any stitches or anything. Iâm guessing Tristan and I have been living in the past way too much to know anything about our future. But how could we when we were on the run. I sighed and looked for any spot where I could sneak inside. The capital was crumbled to the ground but the foundation was still in one piece. And thatâs where I needed to get in. If only I had a spark plug, I might be able to get in. Or if Tristan were here, he would know what to do. The only underground source I knew of was in the capital, unlessâŠI turned around and stared down what used to be left of the park. The Washington monument was gone but, it had stairs to the top of it. Itâs a ridicules thought but I had to try. Nothing else seemed logical. I quickly moved out and hid behind skeletons of cars and chunks of buildings as I made my way to the monument. The government probably put men all over Washington until they found me. At any point of where ever there were important buildings. The Washington monument didnât seem that important as I walked up to it. I ran over to it and jumped over a pile of crumbled cement. I started digging out a hole and throwing pieces of cement and stone away from the foundation. After about eight minutes of throwing rocks, I noticed a perfectly acquired hole in the ground formed in the foundation. I moved other rocks out of the ay as I couldnât believe my eyes. âThose dumb, smart Americans.â I said laughing to myself. My heart fluttered as I looked at the stairs leading into a tunnel. I jumped down and started to run as fast as possible down the long dark tunnel. I didnât know how much time I had left but I knew I had to get this chip inside the control system before anything destroyed it. ﻌ âYou tell me where the direct panel for this system is now or your life is over.â The man said pushing the barrel of the gun into my head. I knew I was dead either way, but something made me laugh. I donât know what it was, probably the manâs tone or just the fact that they were this scared of the American government coming back. I started laughing uncontrollably as the man stared at me with a grievous look apparent on his face. âCommander! We found it!â A man behind this man called with headphones on his head as he was staring into a small computer. The Commander smiled, âSeek and destroy.â He said laughing himself as I stopped and stared at the man at the computer. âMissile on its way.â The man said. âTrack it and wait until its destroyed to give me the news.â The commander said. My mind reeled with thoughts, what happened to amber? Did she make it there? If so was she already in? did she get caught too? I silently prayed for Amberâs safety and swiftness. âTwo minutes until objective reached.â The man said calling out the time every few seconds. ﻌ My legs pumped as I ran down the hallway, I felt exhaustion come over me but I ignored it. Who knew if the government found it yet, all I had to do was get there. If the military was there already, then there was nothing else to do. But I had to get there not matter what. We couldnât stop when we made it this far. ﻌ âThirty seconds.â The man said as my heart started to beat faster and faster. I watched as sweat dripped from the Commanders face as he kept his eyes on me. ﻌ I heard a rumbling noise above ground as I ran towards an opening. I came out and was immediately stunned to see what we were waiting for so long ago. I stopped too stunned to form any words I just looked at the beautiful panels and electric equipment. I ran up a ramp and stopped in front of the panel. The noise grew louder and I felt the vibrations as the ground shook. I looked at the controls and found a little slot, I took the chip out and pushed it into the slot and it fit like a glove. Lights and sound came to life. The entire room filled with light as I fell back from a surge of vibrations. ﻌ âCommander! All of our helicopters and vehicles are down!â The man yelled from the computer too stunned to say anything more. The Commander looked back at me and kicked me in the face pulling the trigger. All I heard was the click of an empty cartridge. The Commander stared at the gun and the dropped it. He pulled out a knife from his boot and pulled me up on my feet. I had a splitting headache and felt blood trickle down the side of my head as I smiled. âYour dead.â I said. I donât know what came over me, but those words just spilled out. With that I felt a sharp pain as I looked down. The knifeâs handle sticking out of my stomach. I started to laugh as I slipped from consciousness. ﻌ I felt the tears burn down my cheeks as I gasped for breath. We did it, I couldnât believe that we pulled it off. The United States of America had a defensive system, all around the country. Everything inside and coming into the country shutdown that was harmful to the countryâs existence. A crackle from a radio on the panel made me jump. âAnybody, anybody there?â A crackled voice came over the radio. I looked at the radio for a moment until picking it up. âThis is command center.â I said. âFinally! Glad to here it! We are on our way.â The male voice said and the radio died. I sat back down and leaned against the panel board. My exhausted and emotion spent body shook with tears. My head hurt as I put my hand to the top. It came back bloody. Derrick must have not put stitches in. I thought as I slowly fell into a deep sleep.
Ù & nbsp; âGod? Why so much him? You canât see him now so you act as if he was never there at all. But you see me and will act accordingly if I have the attributes of him. HmphâŠbelieving is not seeing.â I said feeling regret and even more annoyance rising as I continued. âWhy doesnât God just kill you right now?â I asked as I glanced at the clock on the wall. WilliamâŠyou better leave this to me. I thought crouching down to meet Angusâs eye level. âIâŠdonât knowâŠâ His voice trailed off. Feeling a sly grin cross my face, I pulled the gun from my ankle and replaced it with one bullet. Holding the gun towards Angus, I watched as his eyes became rampant. âThe reason God doesnât kill you nowâŠis one word. You figure it out and youâll be free.â I said as Angus took the gun from my hand. A single droplet of sweat ran down the side of Angusâs face, glittering from the fluorescent bulbs above. Surprisingly something inside of me made my spine shiver with fear. I watched as Angusâs eyes moved over the gunâs black distinct curves and edges. I contained my smile as Angus raised the gun. Not pointing at me, yet not pointing at himself. Raising the gun midriff, my eyes focused on his long fat forefinger wrapped around the trigger, slowly but steadily moving back. âRemember, even though it may seem that no one cares what you do, what you think, how you act. There will always be that Omni present host that with one word shall show the most love and care towards you and you alone.â Angusâs eyes were focused on the gun. Slowly after the seconds passed by like hours. The increased anticipation drew unexpectedly worse. In means of connecting him to the reason in being. I was startled to hear the momentous click of the trigger with the gun pointed towards himself. âBlank.â Angus managed as he looked like he just about had it with my presence and questions. I stood and walked towards the door. Angus glared at me with wet soaked eyes. âAs being the head of the National Treasury for the United States, you do nothing for your life. You end up burning alive forever. You change as a business man; you will end up with eternal joy and laughter.â I started as I placed my hand on the doorknob. âHurry up miss prissy!â Megan shouted as I stopped myself from responding to her. âGoodnight Angus.â I said and opened the door causally walking across the dance floor to the exit. &nb sp; &nb sp; &nb sp; &nb sp; Ù
&nb sp; âItâs only rude in the eyes of another, never in the eyes of the beholder.â Dominic smirked as he extended his hand to draw me out in a little spin, then pulling me back into his arms. âBut you want what you canât get in order to be pleasured with the ways of this world. Correct?â I asked as Dominic held my hand in his moving along to a now low beat jive. Smiling from my question Dominic scoffed and held me closer. His warm breath smelt of exotic peppermint with some rare scent on his suit I have never in my wildest dreams smelt before. âOnly if itâs worth my time.â Dominic responded as I glanced over at Jamie who walked out the doors expertly. I couldnât help myself as a smile rose from my mouth. Dominic seeming to get the hint danced and led as he moved me towards the balcony. &nb sp; &nb sp; Ù âOh! Is it possible to go to the next world and return unscathed by the notorious devil himself?!â Stanton asked sarcastically. Widow couldnât help but retain his laughter as the man moved his hand inside his coat pocket. âAnything is possible with the most high. Yet do you believe enough to go there and shake his hand?â Widow asked as he noticed the gleaming metal of Stantonâs concealed weapon. âDo you believe?â Stanton repeated towards Widow as he placed the tip of the match against the stone wall. âWhatâs the point of living if we donât?â Widow commented sliding the little stick against the granite rock. A single spark of fire lit the cool night air as Stanton revealed his weapon pointing it towards Widows face. In one quick motion Widow slide his other hand behind Stanton pulling his body towards himself and kneeing his gun out of his hands falling over the stone railing. Stantonâs grunt of exhaustion gave a pleasure worth millions to Widows mind. âRemorse is the one thing you can say that is oh so hurtful. Yet when you donât mean it, it feelsâŠwonderful.â Widow whispered as the fire began eating the little stick in between his fingers. âStantonâŠif only you knew the devil himself, my how you would tremble at the very sight of him, even if he were a speck in the distance. The beating of your own heart is loud enough for the devil to see you, wherever you go.â Widow said in his ear as he raised the lit match up to his face. Stanton struggled a bit as he soon became mesmerized by the fire. âThe heat StantonâŠwill melt the very skin off your bones, no rest, no food, no water. Thirst will become your greatest enemy. Yet when it seems that itâs going to end and you close your eyes. Kneeling down in the molten dirt, hands burned beyond measure, your whole body feeling heat, pain and wanting execution. Letting go of your soul with the opening of your eyes andâŠâ Widow held his breath as the wind blew out his match. Rachel and Dominic seemed to be lovers of a new culture as they slowly moved out onto the balcony. &nb sp; &nb sp; Ù & nbsp; &nbs p; âBeautiful night.â I said looking up at the glassy eyed stars. âYes, if only it can last forever.â Dominic replied as I caught his illusory smile. A couple of minutes passed until I heard a very light whimper to my left. I turned to look Dominic in the eye; his sensual gaze gave me a quick thrill inside. My peripherals worked like a charm as I made out the dark shadows of 2 figures. âTwo million Herman.â I whispered to myself. Dominic looked at me, âExcuse me?â âI was just thinking of time.â I said leaning my waist towards Dominicâs firm body. âTime will be forever as long as you never age.â He said turning his body towards me and supposedly looking for the moment to seize me away. A smirk jumped on my lips as I glared out into the vast garden. âI am running out of timeâŠit seems that we all are.â I said as the feeling of a hand gripped my waist. Like any man his type cannot be more patient enough until they finally get into the womanâs pants. âThen letâs make the most of it.â Dominic replied lifting my chin ever so lightly towards his face. His deep sensual eyes drew me closer. A need so great to just kiss him hung in the balance. The beating of my heart overwhelmed me as I took one breath and turned away. Seemingly shocked by my quick response, Dominic smiled. âBy making the most of it, what pleasure is it, if it means nothing in the end?â I asked as Dominic began swaying again as the band inside reverberated to our ears. âMight as well do it before time expires.â âSo live for the moment?â I questioned as I to felt compelled to sway. Dominic nodded but then seemed to be in deep thought. âLove when the moment comes, lust when the heart desires and die when time expires.â I said just above a whisper. A sudden boost of confidence arose inside of me as I couldnât help but smile. I turned to face Dominic with an annoying voice ringing in my earpiece. âTime is up! Letâs go!â Holding my tongue, Dominicâs voice found sound as he spoke just above a murmur. âMy heart desires,â âHow far are you willing to go?â I asked as Dominicâs eyes glanced towards the shadowed corner of the balcony. âWhat ever it takes.â He grinned as his hand put pressure on my back pushing up against his agile stature. My lips moved to his ear, âBut as you, live for the moment of pleasureâŠdeathâŠmay feel the urge to expireâŠâ I whispered as I felt Dominicâs entire body shudder. A small smirk came across my face as I stepped away, leaving Dominic hunched over gasping for breath. &nb sp; &nb sp; Ù Stantonâs fear was undeniably fun. Just staring down at the lifeless body of Dominic seemed to empower the moment to such a broader scale. âIf a beautiful woman like that can end a manâs life with a snap of her petite finger. Imagine what a man can do with another manâs lifeâŠâ Widow whispered as he felt Stantonâs need to get away from this place. âTell me Stanton. Do you collect your treasures on earth as it is in heaven?â âHow do they collect treasures in heaven?â Stanton asked with his arrogance rising once again. Widowâs haughty laugh caught the instant gust of wind. âMy dear Stanton,â Widow said catching his breath as he composed himself. âKeeping the treasures of this world mean nothing, what you do with your time here is what matters.â Widow remarked as he felt his time was shortened. Widow leaned into Stantonâs ear, âHell is on the rise, if itâs ignoredâŠwell, we all know whatâs to come of it.â With that final remark, Stanton stood alone in the engulfing shadowsâŠa little burnt match in between his fingers. &nb sp; &nb sp; Ù âKyle! Tap your earpiece!â I screamed as I heard my intercom come to life. âPlane has arrived, you have two minutes.â Williamâs voice growled. Anger infused inside my gut as frustration soon took over again. Kyle wasnât answering, yet his vitals spiked only once. Everyone else had made it out. I quickly grabbed my laptop and backpack and jogged out the door. Still glancing at the monitor for Kyleâs vitals, I pushed open the exitâs wide metal doors. A chill shook to my bones as the blizzard wind swept past me. The thunder of the Jets engines led me to the slick black skin of the high powered plane. Remorse stricken, I walked towards the plane and jumped up the steps. Sitting in my designated seat next to James, who was playing with some grey goop. I opened my laptop all the way and tapped into a spy satellite. &nb sp; Ù The cool air greeted my skin as joy filled my body. Accomplishment rose with pride as I stepped forward to enter the elegant black limo. The immediate shock of a tight grip on my arm and the hoarse, putrid smell of something not of this earth made me stop. âYou put fear into the minds of the confused and lost. Yet with your delicate,â Keeping my body stiff as to not make the man aware that his touch of my hair brought a shudder to my body. â-featuresâŠyou bring lust and desire into the eyes of man.â A strange sensation raveled in my stomach. Fear? Excitement? Enjoyment? What more can this man say that I have not heard already? âYour point?â Surprised by even my own words, the man pushed me inside the limo. Feeling a rush of cold wind greet my skin, everything soon went dark. &nb sp; Ù
Herman rolled the dice and it came up as a 7. The crowd surfacing around him made a sound of praise. âI have never seen such a man play this game so well.â A manâs voice broke out in the crowd. âNeither have IâŠâ A tempting womanâs voice replied behind him as Herman felt a hand on his back. Herman glanced and caught the sight of a endearing, young blonde in a light blue dress. Herman gave a sigh of arrogance and rolled again. âSix point five million!â The manâs voice yelled as the crowd cheered. Herman nodded to the table man and he handed over the chips. âBreak.â Herman said as he took the chips and walked away. The crowd gave a disappointed sigh, as Herman walked over to a plush couch. He sat down as the woman slowly waked towards him with the crowd dispersing behind her. âThatâs quite a hand you have there.â She said as she sat down next to him. Herman put his chips near his feet and looked into the womanâs brown eyes. âChaz Gates.â Herman said holding out his hand. âLucille Fenton.â She said as she shook his hand. âLucy?â Herman asked as she nodded in agreement. âTell me Lucy, whatâs gambling to you.â Herman said as he situated himself no the couch to look Lucy straight in the eye. âExpectation of getting something you have wanted forever.â Lucy replied eyeing Hermanâs body. Herman laughed as he stood and cracked his fingers. âWhat would you do with the money I have right now?â Herman asked as Lucy looked him up and down. Lucyâs smile made Herman almost melt. âExasperate the person who won it.â Lucy said standing. âOh really?â Herman asked as he bent down to pick up his chips. âCome then.â He replied smiling and taking Lucyâs hand. Herman pulled Lucy towards the table. âOne roll.â Herman said handing the dice to Lucy. âAll of it.â Herman said sliding the chips towards the table man. Lucy gave an affectionate grin. âGambling is the way to win what you can or give it all up in one blow. Itâs the best demise the devil has created.â Herman whispered as he stepped behind Lucy and taking her hand flinging it as she let go of the dice. âSix.â Lucy said as the man took all the chips away. With that, Herman walked away. &nb sp; Ù The garden was full of lush flowers and plants that looked to be from different countries if that. I walked along the stone path into the dimly lit garden as Mikayala walked next to me, her head down. Suddenly Mikayala stopped and sat down on a wooden bench. I sat down next to her as she folded her hands on her lap and looked up at the running fountain of little white stone babies. âPeople are intentionally bad natured, but itâs their own choice to choose to do the right thing.â Mikayala responded as if breaking the silence was a revolution. Her voice was not soft and cute anymore. It turned bitter and serious. I kept my glare on the figurines atop of the fountain as I felt Mikayala reach for something under her dress. âDonât you agree?â Mikayala asked as I knew she had something that could severely wound or kill me in her hand. However, I dared not look her way. âTo an extentâŠthe people who choose to do the right thing, but where does right and wrong subsist from?â I asked glancing down every so often at something shining in the moon light. âThe basis of God and his rules have been passed down ever since he instilled them into nature. People now wonât give credit to God for putting in his rules of nature because of the very fact of saying that there is a God!â Mikayla said as her response gave me a sense of gratitude, but the sudden pain in my side exploded like wildfire. Knowing full well the knife entered my side; I turned and kept my eyes locked on Mikayalaâs burning blue eyes. Her passion dignified her as a roaming vixen. I scoffed at the thought. âBut do you believe in God?â I asked, my side pulsating from the pain. Mikayala grinned and started to giggle. âWhy of course, I just ignore the whole reason of why he created all this and his purpose for my life. As I live out my wasted life, I see and begin to see other wonders.â Mikayala began as my vision started to blur. âKyle?â Meganâs voice withered as I felt my mind break consciousness. âBut those âother wondersâ as you call it, fill only empty spots in your heart for a little while and then they fade away to nothing. The constant yearning for purpose in your life will never end until you find that one thing that can complete that yearning.â I said as my vision was completely gone and the pain unbearable. Yet I still felt my body unmoving as I felt a hand on mine. âIâll see when that happens.â Mikayalaâs voice thinned out as a pinch on my thigh made my mind finally fall asleep. &nb sp; &nb sp; Ù âIts not something that can be bought.â I said turning to face the distraught man that now stood before me. âWhy does a business man run from fear using money?â I asked as Angus dropped to his knees and started to beg. I started to laugh at his pitiful attempt of asking for more time. âStand up!â I shouted a little annoyed. Angus complied but kept his eyes trained on my gun. He better not be thinking what I think heâs going to do. I thought as I bent down to sit on an antique couch. âCome.â I said as Angus slowly but disposed, sat down next to me. âGod Loves the humble businessman, tell me Angus how much time I should give you.â I said as Angusâs eyes went wide with tears. âUntilâŠwhat?â He stammered. Rejecting the idea of slapping him, I strenuously kept my gun on my lap. âAnnoyance in the person with the key to your fateâŠisnât good.â I stammered as Meganâs voice repeated in my ear. âIts almost time!â I quickly picked up my gun and before I knew it, Angus broke down in sobs as my gun was stapled to his head. âWhat would you do? Huh? Angus! Tell me what you would do, how you would act if you knew that anything you did; I would be watching!â I yelled as Angusâs mouth gaped open. Angus was deadly silent, eyes unmoving, his breathing becoming rapid as the question sank in. âIf you knew I watching your every move and that I could kill you with a snap of my finger if I saw you doing wrong, how would you act?â I asked again as Angus seemed mesmerized on something. With a quick rush of his hand, I smiled and stood as Angusâs facial expressions gave me the urge to laugh, but I held it in as I slipped my other gun out and by that time Angus was on the floor withering in pain as he held his shin. I bent down picking up my gun while slipping my other gun on my thigh. A snicker escaped my mouth surprising even me as I pulled out the empty clip from the gun. âI would act as if you are God.â Angus cried. His answer surprised me, I would have thought his brain would not get that far in the realization. &nb sp; &nb sp; Ù âPlease for my humor, do you like the feeling of controlling a personâs ending destiny?â Widow asked as he stepped back and leaned against the wall. âI donât control the personâs ending destiny; I merely help them get to where they chose to go.â Stanton replied getting a little uncomfortable with the situation. The haughty laugh made Stanton cringe with fear and anticipation. âIs that how you see it as? You believe that there is a hell and heaven then?â Widow asked seeming to be more profound on his questioning. âIf youâre asking that I believe in a place we go after we die then yes.â Stanton replied. âStanton give it up. No ones watching you, just give me the proper answer.â Widow said sounding annoyed by the response but aware of the changing scenes playing out in the nightly life. âI am giving you the right answer.â âThe suddenness of death will show you if your answer is correct. But if not, then you will live forever in the pit of fire.â âWhy cant it be an eternal emptiness?â âWhy would you want that?â Widow challenged. âBecause it makes this life more enjoyable.â Stanton replied leaning on the stone railing. A smirk crossed Widows face at the squabble retort. âThe ways of this world will come to an end along with an eternally empty abyss, where you will forever float.â Widow said sliding a match out of his pocket. âSo excusal.â Stanton barked and moved slowly towards Widow. âMy friend, if you believe in this world, and this world aloneâŠmaybe you want to see the other side to experience it first hand.â Widow said as his haughty laugh flew away with the wind. &nb sp; &nb sp; Ù Walking over by the fire and sitting down on a chair, the familiar voice spoke behind me. âWhy give up so much?â Lucy asked slowly sitting in the chair beside me. I smiled and stared into the blazing flames. âLucy, the things of this world have absolutely no value to me. What man creates is a figment of their entertainment, joy, and completeness in this world. If man doesnât create things like money then we have no purpose. But if there is something beyond that of man, wellâŠwe have had a purpose ever since birth.â I said, as Lucy seemed more attracted or interested as she scooted closer to the edge of her seat looking at me. âDamien. Over here!â Lucy called as an old man walked over holding two red wine glasses on a silver tray. âCompliments for the lady and her guest.â Damien replied holding out the tray. I took one while Lucy took the other. âThank you.â I said and he walked away. I held the glass in my hand as the fire grew with excruciating power. âTwenty minutes.â Meganâs voice whispered in my ear. I scoffed a low breath as Lucy sat up in her chair giving off a sense of conformity along with her arrogant mood placement. âWhat?â Lucy asked as she twirled her wine around in her glass. âWhatâs the most valuable thing to you in this world?â I asked as Lucy gave me a cute face of discernment. âMy mothers diamond necklace worth three billion.â I snickered at her comment. âWould you give it up for anything out of this world?â I asked as Lucyâs facial expressions changed to now a calm but smoldering young woman. âWhat could possibly be worth that and the memories in the necklace?â Lucy asked. I held up a finger as I stood up. âThree billion, itâs a lot of money in this world. But for the value of giving it all up to live forever in a wonderful place, better then this world times infinity. Would you do it?â I asked as I walked towards the fire. I felt Lucyâs hand on my arm. âWould you?â She responded. I laughed and nodded, slipping the wine in the fire place. The sizzle and bubbles made my suspicions correct, poison of course. I grinned and turned to look deeply into Lucyâs eyes. âBut what of a man? Someone who connects so deeply to your inner soul, that you would rather rot in the most degenerate, disease ridden cell and be tortured every second; rather then watch the most valuable thing in the world experience even the slightest pain.â I said as Lucyâs warm breath poured on my face. The beating of my own heart poured into my ear drums as Lucyâs dark brown eyes went into a frenzy. Slowly my head leaned closer towards Lucyâs obsequious lips. Her bottom lip quivering as the intensity of the moment stood at a standstill. âHermanâŠâ Meganâs voice trailed off in my earpiece. I knew it was time, I felt my body move away as my mouth moved to the side of Lucyâs head and almost came into contact with her ear. Talking just above a whisper, âHe loves you too much; to him youâre the most precious thing out of anything you can think up and beyond. He took the torture and desecration on a level far too great for humans. So I ask again, whatâs the most valuable thing you in this world? A necklace?â I chuckled at the comment. âMy dear, you are far more valuable to him then that. Reason being is he died for you. Nobody can take that away. Either you accept it, orâŠplay with a roll of the dice.â I said and turned away. Leaving Lucy standing there, eyes soaked, makeup running, and two little cubes in her open palm.
âHow are you Stanton?â Mathew asked as the man turned to face us. âI am doing well, but do I know you?â Stanton asked as I watched Mathew wheel himself towards the large balcony outside with Stanton following. Well, thatâs one way to start a conversation with someone you donât know personally. I thought as I heard Meganâs voice in my earpiece. âMikayla is near the band playing. You want me to help you with your moves? Or do you think you can at least get her to dance with you?â Megan asked. I tried to hold in a smile as I made my way to Mikayla. A very young woman who looked to be still I college; dark brown hair to her shoulders with a petite frame. A bright white dress moving slowly on the floor as she swayed to the music. âMay I have this dance?â I asked giving a little bow and holding out my hand. Shocked Mikayla nodded and smiled as she took my hand. The band started playing a slow song as the thought of holding this woman against my body felt a little nerving. âYou look somewhat familiar, have we met before?â Mikayla asked as she wrapped her arms around my neck. âI donât think so, why do you say that?â I asked trying to keep the conversation going. &nb sp; Ù I let the man guide me as the music played. âMay I inquire on to whom you are here for?â The man asked as I smiled a deep satisfaction. âDominic Mienster.â I replied giving just enough away. âDominic?â The man questioned, immediately changing his tone to business. âI have an innovation to talk to him about.â I said as the manâs eyes settled on my tattoo. âWhat business do you have with Dominic?â The man asked as I heard Meganâs voice in my ear. âOn your right!â I glanced to my right at a striking young man with broad shoulders. âIâm just an old friend, would you excuse me?â I said moving towards Dominic. Surprisingly the man let me go. I smoothly and majestically moved towards Dominic who held a wine glass while watching the dancing couples. âJealousy is a dangerous temptation.â I said leaning against a white pillar a few feet away from him. Dominic glanced my way and smiled. âWell, I wouldnât expect it to last too long.â Dominic replied sipping his glass of red wine. I smirked and slowly walked towards him. âDonât flatter yourself.â I said stopping behind him and coming up to his ear. âYou know it all too well.â I whispered walking past him. âYou, little tramp.â Meganâs voice vibrated in my earpiece. &nb sp; Ù âYou know, I always love the way a business man does his dealings.â I said sitting down on an antique chair as Angus closed the double doors. I heard the click of a lock as Angus turned towards me. Bold yet flattering. I thought as Angus slowly stepped forward. My hand automatically went to my thigh as Angus casually walked around me. âAnd how does he do it?â Angus asked seductively as I felt his hand slide on my shoulder. I slowly stood pushing his hand off my shoulder and walked towards the open window, out looking to a lavish garden in back. I smiled and slid my hand up my dress pulling my gun off its holster. My eyes were trained on the beautiful fountain in the middle of the garden as I heard a hushed gasp escape from Angus. âIsnât this fun? I wish I had the experience you do with commerce.â I said walking towards Angus while keeping my eyes on the fountain; with my gun trained on Angus. âWhat do you want? Name your price.â Angus conveyed as the sound of a pen clicked. &nb sp; Ù âYou seem so oddly familiar, I know your faceâŠ.I just cant place where we met before.â Mikayala said as I felt Meganâs voice almost break my eardrum. âWhatâs wrong with you If William found out she remembers you, heâll shoot you himself! You better get to the point and fast!â My jaw tightened as Mikayala studied my face. âIâm a distant friend?â I replied chuckling. Mikayala smiled and I watched her blush. We kept moving as the music directed us along the floor. âI was wondering why people choose the wrong way to do things instead of the right way.â I said as a puzzled look came across her face. âWell, why would people choose the wrong way?â âNow, your just repeating my question.â I said smiling. Mikayala gave a frown and glanced outside in the garden. âYou think we could take a walk?â she asked as I smiled and guided her to the doors. &nb sp; &nb sp; Ù âStantonâŠwe have known each others existence for a long time. Your jealousy, hatred and revenge have desecrated the life you once had.â Mathew started as he wheeled himself to the other side of Stanton. Stanton kept his hands in his pockets, but kept his stare on Mathewâs movements. âWhy do we have a government?â Mathew asked as he glanced into the garden below them. Mikayala and Kyle were taking a little stroll. âTo control a country.â Stanton replied as the sound of a click made Mathew turn to a dark corner of the balcony. âMr. Mennings. I presume you see the death penalty as legal?â A familiar voice said in the blackness. A sleek grin crossed Mathewâs face as he stared down at his legs. âYes I do.â Stanton replied turning to the figure stepping out of the darkness. âAnd who will you judge to receive this penalty?â âAnyone I deem proper to fit the judgment.â Stanton shot back. The haughty laugh made Mathew look up and gape at the shadowed face of Widow. &nb sp; &nb sp; Ù I walked onto the dance floor and started moving to the slow rythmetic music. Closing my eyes and Visualizing my partner with me, the feeling of soft skin connected with my hands. I opened my eyes to Dominicâs sensual smile. âYou look so comfortable out here on the dance floor.â Dominic said twirling me in a circle. Very smooth. âŠI thought giving Dominic an innocent look. âI still love to dance. It feels so good when Iâm out hereâŠIt probably sounds silly, but I cant help it...It s just the music.â I replied glancing behind me at Mathew. Dominic smiled and nodded, gazing into my eyes. âDarling, who is this?â I turned to face Mathew who had a bewildered look on his face. âThis is Dominic.â I replied giving them both innocent looks. âDominicâŠ.this is Mathew my fiancĂ©.â I replied as the shock of the statement took Dominic aback.
Rachel moved towards the slightly ajar door and peeked inside. Megan was talking to Kyle as he wrapped his big arms around her and hugged her. A sense of anger rose in her as she turned away. Why anger? Rachel never knew why, neither did she care. One last time, thatâs all that mattered. Rachelâs mind worked as she entered her room. Rachel walked towards her closet and opened the door, with her dark colored dresses giving off a needed sense of desire. Red, blue, green, black and white. For this, last affairâŠthe best of the best. DesireâŠ.lust, the right color for it all. Red, no too original. BlueâŠmaybe, white, absolutely not. &nb sp; Ù I set my handguns on the table and sat down in the wooden chair. I sighed and quickly wiped away the loose tear. The final nightâŠI thought as other thoughts clouded my mind. Would Widow really be there? If not, when would I see him again? My head felt like it was going to explode with all the thoughts running through it. I took a deep breath in and out then quickly tied my hair back in a bun. &nb sp; Ù âYou must be pursuing her delicately.â Herman said looking himself over in front of the full body mirror; his blonde hair perfectly in place. âDelicately isnât the right word. I mean part of me wants her yet another part says no.â Kyle said as he checked the cologne on the top of the dresser. âWell for that, I would only have two answers. Either William has gotten through to you about relationships in this club parse. Or God knows your not the right person for her.â Herman replied sliding his pack of cards in his pocket. âDonât worry it about. Tonight we are done and then you can think about it. Hurry up though; we are all going to be leaving soon.â Herman said and went into the bathroom. Kyle sat on the edge of the bed trying to make sense of it all. &nb sp; Ù âHold still for a few more minutes.â James said as he added a deep tan to Grantâs face. Once finished, Grant checked his knife. Satisfied by the sharpness of the edge, Grant stood up as James checked him over. âOk, your good to go.â James replied as Grant smiled and quickly walked out, leaving James with his dead costumes. &nb sp; Ù I turned into the monitor and looked over the party room. People were setting up the place and it looked like guests were arriving extremely early. I tied my hair into a ponytail and held my breath as I heard the overly familiar voice behind me. âWho says your staying here?â I ignored the voice and tested the lighting for the cameras. Just as I was about to stand up I felt her warm breath on my neck. âI can help you get ready if you want.â I stood and pushed Rachelâs face away. âI am a better help staying here. Now go away.â I said as I pulled open the drawer to my dresser and took out a rose broach. âHere.â I said fitting the rose on Rachelâs dress. âNo, too flashy.â Rachel complained. I looked her over and she was right. I took it off and pulled out a fake tattoo from the drawer. Rachel fit it on her chest making sure her dress covered most of it. âWilliam wants me here.â I said sitting back in my chair. âYouâre a terrible lair.â Rachel said as she walked slowly towards me. âYou know as well as I do, you want to go to this affair.â Rachel said using her seductive powers. I held in a laugh as I turned in my seat. âIâm so sorry to disappoint you, but that only works on guys and lesbians.â I added as Rachelâs face flustered to annoyance. Rachel was so annoyed she walked out of the room with out another word. âHere we go.â I said to myself switching their cameras on. &nb sp; Ù I stared at all the faces sitting across from me. Silence came between us all as we quietly waited for the plane to touch down. Excitement and adrenaline made my hands tremble as we became nearer to our destination. I watched, as Jamie seemed to be wanting out as soon as possible. If Widow showed, she would be all over him. However, if he does notâŠwell, that just would not be like him. Widow would be there, in the shadows of course but still in sight. I thought as I sprayed my perfume all over my neck. I suddenly felt the wheels touch the ground as the plane slowed down. Everyone sat still, unmoving. I took out my mirror and checked my makeup, perfect. I slowly stood up and followed everyone else out and into different vehicles. I ducked into a black limo with Herman. Jamie and Grant in the white limo behind us. Kyle and Mathew in a new 2010 Lexus. Mathew apparently took his time in getting situated in the car as Kyle revved the engine. I watched as Kyle and Mathew drove off towards the party while Herman and I had our driver follow them with Jamie and Grant following us. Our driver was a young man in his mid twenties, not conspicuous, just enough for a body in the driverâs seat. Herman turned on the television and watched the news as we moved towards the party of the century. Fires in the United Sates, floods in Italy, blizzards in Russia, hurricanes in the tropics. The world seemed normal enough. I thought as a smile came to my face. âWhat?â Herman asked giving me a funny look. âThe world sounds like its ending and we are going to a party.â I said as a laugh escaped my mouth. âIronic enough?â Herman asked as he took out his cards. âIf you want to call it that, sure.â I replied settling in my seat as I watched the street lights come in less of a horde. âYou knowâŠif he shows up tonight. We are going to have trouble on our hands, or would you prefer taking him on at the table?â I asked as Herman flipped his cards in his hands. âIâll make a bet with you, if he does show up tonight. Then you get the two million I won the other night.â Herman said as he started to count his cards. I smirked as the thought of being two million richer came to mind. âNow why would you bet the two million for something as silly as this?â I asked as Herman pulled out a pair of dice. âAsk him that when you see him.â Herman replied as he glanced up at the huge mansion coming up on the dark road. I nodded and turned on the light above my head. I checked my purse for my essentials and felt the anticipation and excitement for tonight as the limo pulled up in front of the red carpet. Cameras and news reporters flashed and talked as the limo stopped. âMay I?â Herman asked holding out his hand. I smiled and took his hand as he stepped out of the limo. I stepped into the flashing lights and smiled as I wrapped my arm around Hermanâs. Reporters pushed microphones in our faces as we casually walked up the carpet. I heard the roar and whistles as Jamie and Grant came out of their limo. The doormen opened the huge and well detailed wooden doors. I thanked them and we both walked into the party. âMind yourself, and keep your eyes open for him. God knows he is going to do something tonight.â Herman whispered to me and he let me go. Herman quickly made his way to the gambling tables and I glanced around at all the important people. âI bet if the president were here, he would make an extra effort to meet you.â I turned and saw a slim old man who had a cocktail in one hand with the other holding my hand and kissed it. I smiled and checked him out quick. No, not the right guy. âWell, thank you.â I replied blushing. &nb sp; Ù âThereâs your guy.â I whispered to Grant as he spotted him. âAnd yours is right there.â Grant nodded as he let go of my arm. I smiled at the sight of my target. I felt my guns on my thighs and held my purse close to my chest as I made my way towards the man. I swallowed my saliva making its presence in my mouth and touched the manâs shoulder. The man was a tall average build, black hair and a little on the flirty side. âHi, My name is Angus Howard. You are?â âOh, I know who you are, everyone knows who you are.â I replied giggling. The man beamed as he glanced around the room. âMy names Kelly, Kelly Anderson.â I said trying my hardest not to shoot him right in the forehead. Angus took my hand in his and kissed it. I quickly swallowed my vomit and made an appearance that I wanted to get to know him more. However, in a more secluded area. I led Angus to a back room where our privacy would not be disturbed. Donât make me shoot you before I can get into your head. I thought as I noticed Angus's attraction to me.
Ù & nbsp; William stared at all the eyes staring back at him as he sat down in his seat. Herman to his left while Jamie sat on his right. And all down the long table sat everyone else in a neat order. Quiet and still, waiting orders. âWhere is he?â William asked as his voice obliterated the eerie silence. âHe will be in New York by Sunday. Two million poorer though.â Herman proclaimed as he held in his laughter. âJamie.â William watched as the shadow of Jamieâs head turned to face him. |
