THROUGH THE FIRE

+++++++++
When founded upon Christ, the Rock, You need not ever fear, For your Creator who formed you Is always very near. When you pass through the deep waters, You shall not suffer harm, Though the rivers should overflow… He shields you with His arm. And when you walk through the fire, You are safe in His care, The hot flame shall never burn you, For He shelters you there. You are so precious in His sight, And He will see you through; My friend, you need not ever fear… The Lord God is With You.
“Thus saith the Lord that created thee… When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour” “Fear not: for I am with thee” (Isa 43:2-3, 5)

BROKEN HEART, UNFEATHERED WINGS
Y. Bach (c) 2006
Broken heart, un-feathered wings
Escape and fade from the unseen
Pace yourself with lies and laughter
While your soul withers on suspended rafters
A soft spoken word can make you cry
You auction your armor and market goodbye
You search for only what your eyes can see
While your soul decays in remanded debris
With eyes on the outside
You look here and there
You search tops of mountains
To find higher despair
You gaze into forests
And Where valleys are low
Steeping in shadows
That hide naked plateaus
You campaign defenses
That are angry and weak
Searching for something
That shimmers mystique
Weary heart, un-feathered wings
Looking for greater, and finding the sting
Give me your hand, unbind your eyes
and see the you, you've come to despise
With eyes on the inside
crouch down on the rim
see fault lines and scars
Of your heart, of your sins
And discover the Spirit
that dwells inside You
That is patiently waiting
For your search to be through
He's up on the mountain
He's in that dark cave
Where you turn a blind eye
To your dark scary grave
And He whispers Your Name
In Sweet agony
Un-feathered wings -------
Fly to Him and sing….
Un-feathered wings
Fly to Him and sing
Open your heart
feel the unseen
The Hand that cradles
your un-feathered wings
The music played and I cried,
I was encapsulated giving permission to let tears fall and pain begin. my anquish and shame shuddered and fell privy to a plot a portal of cognitive impressions facing a mirror that reflected pain, an essence of lost and confused.
My whole body listened and observed.
Giving up the past, craving forgiveness desiring redemption from the mirror that shimmered spelndor-less clusters of need stained with denail and fear
a caricature painted with agony accompanied by pubescent, yet ancient orchestras of invitation, to walk a long narrow road
that appeared hazardous
leading to LIFE
to LIVING
The Music KNEW
The music knew what I was experiencing,
knew I was broken and desperate needy
it felt like "SUDDENLY" but caged in a edgy timeless dance that forgot to tick
this plethera of angst and confustion gave way to raindrops on desert sands,
and is seconds,
or was it days? thorns fell and died, giving birth to blossoms,
to beauty
contentment with an ease of transistion from unworthy to worthy and suddenly I dancedI CRIED I NEED YOU FORGIVE ME I LONG TO BE WITH YOU
,
I examined thoughts that played with the sound,
and knew my heart
would never be the same for I had seen the COLOR OF MUSIC the color of creation
I was played straight to You
and then You added the words, I felt Your sorrow, Grief embedded with an unspeakable joy
I felt Your compassion You Strength Your Forgiveness
Your Love
I felt peace
&nb sp; I was unbroke, & nbsp; &nbs p;
healed by
resplendant music
that faciliated
a rebirth,
that allowed me to forget me
to forget the world
and to hear YOU
Singing Spiritual LOVE
to my heart.

The FRUIT of Music
Music creates a harvest. Being the language that has the power to touch our heart, the core of our being, our spirit, our soul. It is potent, it is powerful in a way that few give much thought to. Music plants a garden, creates a harvest, and our lives will reap what we sow.
When we hurt, we turn to music to help us let go of what we feel, or to give us FREEDOM from what we feel to help us VALIDATE what we feel.
When we are happy, we want to turn up the tunes, and boogie while we clean the house, or wash the car, or drive around town....
Music enables us to open ourselves to ourselves. We can't hide from the impact music has on us, and it is IMPORTANT to know what we are listening to.Music that contains material that is unhealthy, eventually lines the parimeters of our inner being, and will manifest through out our body, soul, heart and spirit. It is IMPORTANT to be THOUGHTFUL and MINDFUL of what we listen to, even tho we are angry, sad, happy, broken, need a lift, WHATEVER, it is SO IMPORTANT to be aware that music is a TOOL, an ENABLER of good OR bad, and therefore we must be aware of what we listen to.....
Music is POWERFUL because it speaks ANY language.
Music is APPEALING because it motivates us to move, or feel, even when we don't want to
Music is a tool. Christian musicians, singers, lyricists, worship leaders, pastors, and congregations know how important music is to their church, event, or ministry because it IS a tool, an enabler of letting our inner being let go of the world for a while.....
Music is a blessing. A gift. One that never fails to speak unspeakable words.
A POWERFUL TOOL THAT REAPS FRUIT RIPE FOR HARVEST USE MUSIC WISELY

There will always be men and women of high esteem and great acclaim. But, Jesus chose none of them to be his disciples, those through whom he would revolutionize the world. He chose ordinary people.

Have you ever wondered why Jesus chose the village of Cana to perform his first miracle? Why a wedding in Cana? Cana was nothing more than a small village in Galilee located in the hills about nine miles north of Nazareth. It was just a village, an ordinary village. Cana was a small community where everyone knew everyone else. A place where rumors often grew to become legends. A place where word traveled fast and reputations were forged in a moment and lived for a lifetime. Small communities share a common closeness that makes autonomy difficult and accountability inescapable.

It was just an insignificant village filled with ordinary people celebrating a wedding between two people that John didn’t see fit to identify by name. It was a humble venue from which to launch the greatest story ever told. Yet, there we find Jesus; in the midst of humanity as the village celebrated a wedding that the rest of the world knew nothing about. But Jesus has a way of transforming the ordinary in to something extraordinary.

When you think about it the ordinary is what dominates our lives, but we often view it as a competitor to high devotion. Religion fosters the notion that God only uses those who are a cut above the ordinary, those who are marked by stark lifestyles and filled with hardship and great achievement. We imagine that the great men and women of faith are those who separate themselves from the rest of the world and forsake the common joys of daily living for the rigors of solitary communion with God. We view people like John the Baptist or Mother Theresa as examples of the chosen few that can experience God and his joy in a way that we can’t. We surmise that these mysterious stark lifestyles yield a level of joy that out of reach of us common folk.

Yet, Jesus comes to us eating and drinking in a way that shows us that today’s ordinary events are just as important as tomorrow’s legends. His joy is for the common folk living their ordinary lives. Jesus doesn’t separate himself from the masses and grant audiences to a chosen few. He’s right in there with us, living large and standing strong. F.B. Meyer writes, “Easier to maintain a life of prayer far from the haunts of men, than to enter them maintaining constant fellowship with God in the unruffled depths of the soul.” Jesus could have established himself on a high place and waited for the world to come to him.
But he didn’t.
Instead, before walking on the water, he walked among the people. Before he raised the dead to life again, he raised the cup of fellowship. Before he fed the hungry multitudes, he fed a hungry band of men.
Jesus loves life. He created it. He revels in relationship. He is with us everyday and in every situation and he wants us to experience his joy as we go. He says to us that our circumstances are not insignificant to him, because he’s been there. And, there is no place on earth so far removed that he is unable to find us, because he’s walked the dusty back roads of Galilee. Jesus is for the common person, not the deserving person. That’s you and me. Jesus didn’t surround himself with the religious elite. He surrounded himself with ordinary folk because that’s where true ministry happens, it’s where the rubber meets the road.
I believe that he did so because he gets so much joy out of spending time with us. He laughs at some of the silly things that we do. I remember watching my dad shut the truck door on his head one day as we were getting in his pick-up. Now, it takes a lot of concentration to keep your head outside the truck while you shut the door on it. Jesus was probably howling as loud as I was. He also mourns with us in our darkest hour. I remember how Jesus cradled me in his arms when my mother died suddenly of a heart-attack. I wept in bitterly that day – a day I will never forget.
Listen, the great men and women of faith are those of us who dare to wake-up every morning to face a world fraught with evil and have the courage to take Christ with us as we go. It is there that the battle for the souls of our friends and loved ones is joined. It is for that purpose that Christ came to live among us. There will always be men and women of high esteem and great acclaim. But, Jesus chose none of them to be his disciples – those through whom he would revolutionize the world. He chose ordinary people, like you. That can only mean that you are of special significance to God. So, as you wake-up in the morning, spend a few moments in the presence of someone who thinks you’re the greatest. If you do, you will find that you cannot remain ordinary or insignificant. Because, anyone that the creator of the universe is willing to spend his precious time with is not insignificant, but rather someone worth knowing.
