Ok, I have to admit: I love action/adventure movies. Only thing is, I have to wait to watch them on the networks so that they can edit out all of the foul, abusive language and the heated, racy scenes (and sometimes they fail to do a good job of that). I also watch drama and for some reason - which I can't figure out, I have sneaked over and watched some of those movies on Lifetime - you know, television for women. Some of those movies are preety good!

I love all Christian music, but I am beginning to question the need for some of the Christian Rap I have been hearing. It doesn't seem like it is giving God the glory that is due to His name and the "beat" in some of them has only one appeal - to the body and not the Spirit.

Reading the Word of God and anything that has to do with the study of it (Commentaries, encyclopedias, ect.), writiing, drawing and painting, hiking, camping, fishing and playing basketball.

Who has time to ready trashy dime store novels and worthless tabloids? The only book I read is the Word of God and all that pretains to it - including other Christian books.

My name is Arlee Turner Jr. and I am 42 years old and a minister/Sunday School Teacher at McNeil Christian Center in McNeil, Arkansas. I am employed at Allied Tube in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. I was born and raised in Fordyce, Arkansas. I became saved in February, 1997 after over a decade of battle with cocaine and other drugs; alcohol, and smoking. Right then and there, the Lord shined a light in my room, and gave me several visions: the content of those visions were my commission to preach the Word of God. But there was a rub: the ministry that was given to me would not be well-recieved. I was going to be going the way of the Old Testament Prophets - Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Amos - and would be preaching portions of the gospel message that are not very popular today...in the midst of all the "sugar-coating" that is going on. The commission came out of Ezekiel Chapter 2 and 3 part of which says (verses 6, 7) "And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neitther be afraid of their words, though briers and thorn be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house. And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are rebellious." Thus begins a journey in ministry whose purpose is not to please men - "For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ." (Galatians 1:10 KJV) - but whose purpose be to God. I am a servant of the Most High God and my only purpose in life and this dispensation of the Church Age is to please my Father in heaven. To God be the glory...
