I prefer funny movies, romantic comedies and some chick flicks. My all-time favorite is The Princess Bride--"As you wish"!

Whatever touches my heart, which is usually some form of "Christian" music. However, I also really like Nat King Cole, Michael Buble, Norah Jones, Harry Connick Jr, and classical.

writing, reading, sewing, gardening, cleaning and organizing which some call work but I enjoy it!

I love to read whatever it is that God is impressing upon me to read--that's when I get the most out of a book and that's what's important to me. A few of those that have spoken to me... The Hopeless Story (even though it's just a work in progress), Captivating, Wild at Heart, The Power of Praise and Worship, Spiritual Warfare by Derek Prince and one by Richard Ing. I also enjoy the Mitford series by Jan Koran.

We all have a story and each story takes time to read...and understand. Something new is revealed with each chapter. For now, I will reveal the basics but after that, you may never know my full story unless you take time to discover what the rest of my book is like. Just like Jesus--if we don't read His Word, we will never really know much about Him. How much you want to know depends on how much time you're willing to take to search and discover the mysteries that lie within. I am 44 years old and married for the second time to a very patient, kind, and don't-know-how-he-puts-up-with-me man! I have two children of my own, 20 and 18, and two step-children, 11 and 9. My eldest currently resides with us until she finds the job God has for her in England! My 18yr old lives with his father. We don't have custody of the youngest ones and only see them every other weekend and holidays. I spent five years as a single mother in which I really discovered God as my Provider, Protector and True Husband. A very hard life to live but the greatest growth spiritually I can ever recall! I work part-time at a canvas shop making boat covers, tent sidewalls, doing various repairs and reupholstering boat seats. I actually like my job but long to be home full-time! I was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio (graduated from Sylvania Northview High School in 1980) and really hated it there! I was glad when we moved away to a small town in Michigan over 20 years ago. I was not raised in a Christian home at all but came to know Jesus as my Savior about six weeks after my first marriage in Jan 1985--thanks to a very dedicated, soul-winning ladies group in Fayetteville, N.C. that was willing to knock on my door one cold, rainy day! That day changed my life--forever. I spend more time on myspace than here--it's where I write all my blogs and have family pictures. I love writing, reading, warm cookies and cold milk, and flowers of all kinds. I like the warmth of the sun, especially on a cool day, the sound of water and special surprizes from my husband. I like finding dimes (or nickels or pennies even) on my floor (or anywhere for that matter). I love soft things, quiet moments and Truth. I especially enjoy and treasure those times that the Holy Spirit falls on me like a warm, soft blanket making me feel so extremely safe and secure and loved...ahhh...refreshing!
