GOOD MOVIES:
Shrek was great! I like watching Spanish videos, such as "Marcelino, Pan y Vino," and "La Nina en la Mochil Azul." Marcelino is an abandoned orphan raised in a monastery by the brothers. He meets Jesus hanging on a cross in the attic of the monastery and feeds the poor man bread and wine (pan y vino.) It's very catholic, but I like stories about miracles. "La Nina..." is a movie about a middle class boy who loves "the girl in the blue bookbag." She is poor, dirty, and lives in an old houseboat with an "uncle." Their classmates ridicule him because he likes her. He isn't sure how he feels, until one day she doesn't show up at school. It is a crying movie.

BOOKS, BOOKS, BOOKS:
I enjoyed reading The Universe in a Nutshell by Stephen Hawking, though he needs to crawl out of that nutty shell and view the universe from God's perspective!
I recently finished reading Dogs of God by James Reston...about the Spanish Inquisition and Columbus. Now I've started his book called The Last Apocalypse. He is a great historical fictionalist.
I loved The Count of Monte Christo. Alejandro Dumas is an amazingly prolific writer. I also enjoyed The Three Musketeers and The Man in the Iron Mask.
I like George MacDonald's fantasy work, like Day Boy and Night Girl, and At the Back of the North Wind. I like all of C. S. Lewis's writings, like The Screwtape Letters, and Mere Christianity.
I like Arturo Perez's Spanish books about El Capitan Alatriste, especially Limpieza de Sangre. And I enjoy reading Spanish classics like Marcelino Pan y Vino, and Lazarillo de Tormes. I am still struggling with the archaic Spanish in Don Quijote de la Mancha.
I also like Frank Peretti's books, This Present Darkness, and Piercing the Darkness.
Some of my favorite non-fiction books include: Things to Come by David Pentecost, Who Moved My Cheese by Spencer Johnson, and The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey.
Yes, I consider Stephen Hawking fiction. Its amazing the broad jumps of fantasy scientists take today. They have more faith than I do. To see a mass of gas and refer to it as a "star nursery" takes imagination. They have built amazing video footage of this "expanding universe" when not even a fraction of the time needed to record that type of expansion has passed. Its all imaginary, and unrecordable.
That's like we've been on this rock 6,000 years of recorded history and we haven't yet seen a creature evolve into a new lifeform. And the recorded history defies it! I wonder where in the universe hell is? I wonder where God's throne is? I wonder how far away heaven really is? I wonder why we shouldn't let our participles dangle like this?

GOD WATCHES OVER HIS CHILDREN... From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth. Psalms 33:14 ...like a Mother watches her boys in the backseat, from the rearview mirror. (Luke 13:34)
ABOUT ME:
I like Air Shows, camping, rodeos, bowling, museums (Huntsville Space Center is my favorite,)and traveling. I have a solid black lab named Ezekiel, who likes to go camping and hiking with me. I also like to have fun with my students. I teach them how to build kites, rockets, and simple explosives for excitement. I love to study Bible prophecy. I am addicted to the Word. I can't get enough of the Bible. I can say that because Paul mentioned friends who were "addicted to the ministry." I also collect foreign language Bibles. I do not have a Swahili Bible, though the text is available online. If anybody
knows where to buy an actual Swahili Bible that I can hold in my hands, please let me know. I have a son named Travis, who is 15. He is usually very quiet and likes to spend time playing computer games. He also carries swords through the house like some fantasy warrior. He loves to read the comics in the newspaper with me. Foxtrot is his favorite, and Dilbert is mine. We both like Overboard.
Here are some of the Webpages I have disigned. The Poetry Site is poetry I have written. The Class Site is used for my students and their parents.

Threatened, but not devoured...beseiged but not consumed! Oh, Magnificient Saviour, to you I lift my cry! You will deliver in time of need!
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. -John 16:33
Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou makest thy flock to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions? -Song of Solomon 1:7

THINGS THAT INTEREST ME:,
Bible, Greek, Hebrew, Spanish, Church History, computers, designing educational games and powerpoint. I am also interested in heaven. I can't help but wonder where it is, what it will be like, and when I am going to get there. I am also interested in taking someone with me so I don't show up empty-handed at the party.
Things aren't always as they seem. There are things unseen.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

The current mass slaughter of innocent infants breaks my heart. I believe life is not a human choice but, a God thing! I would like to find a way to save some of these dying babies and wounded mothers. If you choose to have an abortion, you will not only end the life within you...you will remove life from yourself. Abortion destroys life...yours and the baby's. If abortion has drained life from you, come to Jesus, who will give you new life
