Once I was a great sinner,
Lusting for things so base,
Then I heard of the Savior,
And of His saving grace.
Yielding to His love divine,

Fear keeps from risking and reaching out. Fear prevents us from asking forgiveness of those we have hurt. Fear hinders us from asking for the support we need from a friend. Fear keeps us cowering from our tough circumstances instead of standing up in God's power, facing them, and working through them.
But as a child of God, you have a source of power and strength: the Lord Himself.
