Prayer for May 30, 2008
Posted On 06/05/2008 03:12:54

             May 30, 2008. Friday

                      Prayer

LORD, this season many of us are struggling in different situations, some much harder than usual, but we know that you’re with us every step of the way; you don’t leave us. As we celebrate life, graduations, grieve, taking breaks to dig/look deeper in you and our calling in this world, recovering from a variety of things, or going to school, etc., we are constantly doing something 24/7. We admit that we may not always be in your word, I definitely do, but you speak to us in our hearts and through others that you bring to us. I pray that wherever we are in life, including every state and country and more, we follow you. Even those who aren’t believers I pray for them, we are still your children, no matter where we come from. There are sick/injured living beings, things get thrown at us and we can only deal with so much before breaking down and losing our normal life. As we seek to you more LORD, I pray that you guide our lives in where you want us, and how we can walk in your footsteps as we spread your word to others, including ourselves as we dig into your word. Show us your light in our eyes/heart, and help us to be open-minded and open-hearted, and that we see your world in need of us. As you told me on the way to school last week, “My children are your children,’ it’s true. I couldn’t figure it out at first, but I knew it later on that day. With the heart you’ve given me, and my care/love for others, everyone is my child in my heart. I strive to seek you, despite my disability, but you’ve given me the courage and mind and heart to be there for others, which is beyond my physical appearance. Show us how to be your children, and help us to be followers of you and to fulfill your plans/dreams for us. I thank you for everything. I pray this and more in your holy name, AMEN.

FATHER, wherever we in life right now, I pray that you guide us. Show us your light through our eyes and heart, that as your children we follow in your footsteps and spread your word. I pray for everyone in need, mild to severe, that you pour out your spirit/love/more and to heal us. I thank you LORD for everything you do for us. I pray this and more in your great/mighty name, AMEN.

                      Prayer

LORD, as we go through life, we’re struggling more. There are serious events going on right now, earthquakes, hurricanes, and anything that nature is doing to destroy homes and lives. I pray that your Holy Spirit reigns down on every creation made by you, and restore the lives. Nature has the power to destroy and ruin, but you have the power to bring back life and restore what’s been lost. In our lives, we go through the same thing. We may have situations that bring us down, give us doubt, or just keep us from following you, but you overpower what goes on in our lives. I pray that as one, that we bring the poor to being wealthy, the needy of any situation to getting their needs met, lives that are burdened to be open up/free like a bird in the sky, and that all our struggles that bind us will be broken and free us. Wherever we are in life, at church, home, other cities/countries, and other religions/non-believers, that we seek you more than ever. Show us your guiding light inside/out of us, and help us to walk in your footsteps and lead us to your path of your calling for us. In praying this LORD, it brings me tears that so many are hurting and suffering and we have no control over it, only you have the power to save/heal lives and the world you created. Help us to be better followers of you, and show us in our heart/mind/soul/spirit/eyes that you’ll always be here for us. You bring more to us than we bring to you, and I’m grateful that we’re followers of you and that we have the ability to do your works in your footsteps with our unique abilities and disabilities. Thank you FATHER for everything, and I pray this and more in your mighty and holy name, AMEN.

My eventful/fun week

            May 12, 2008. Monday

I’m excited.

Last week on Wednesday night it was planned for worship practice at Mosaic Church, but it got changed to Thursday night, so I went to a women’s worship on Wednesday night. I asked the one I trained at E4sq to do slides for me that night, her/I are training another person so it gave her a chance to practice a service with assistance.

On Thursday night I went to church at 4pm, I did schoolwork to kill two hours before practice, I finished the required part needed that’s due tomorrow. It’s been three months since I did slides for Mosaic, training and practice included, but I remembered 99 percent of what to do. I set up Sunday’s service slides while the band practiced, it went good.

On Saturday, as usual, I did slides for Trinity Project, it’s fun as always. The worship was good this week, and the children got to be part of it-a story was told with powerpoint slides-due to being Mother’s Day yesterday; the church only has a service on Saturday nights. I went to OMSI and volunteered before going to church.

Yesterday, Sunday/Mother’s Day, I did all three services. I soloed, it was very fun, minor delays but I still did good, the church uses MediaShout. I use EasyWorship-EWS-at E4sq/Trinity Project. It’s similar to EWS but set up different, and you can’t add PowerPoint’s to it like you can on EWS. At the end of January this year I got trained for 3 days for a total of 3 hours, then I sat through a service on a Sunday in February to get the feel of doing a service and I did the second and third service with minor assistance. Yesterday, I did all 3 services all by myself, I’m glad I could do it.

I’m glad I can serve and help at church, it helps me gain more skills and I grow stronger in HIM by participating in things that I can do with my abilities, despite my disability I can still achieve beyond what many people think I can do.

Today, I volunteered at mosaic’s office doing data entry for the children’s attendance, I normally do 1-1/2 service and leave but I did all 3 services. I found a quicker/easier way to find the kids/mark them as attended, it works, it takes me less than an hour per service compared to 1-1/2 hours; good progress I say. Plus I took care of a contact entry that I got last month, I say that’s good, I’m caught up/ahead in what’s needed,. It saves them time to get other important things done, and it frees up the desk I use that belongs to one of the staff there. I end up taking the desk spot to do the entering, he doesn’t mind but I don’t always like to take up someone else’s office space; he knows it’s for a very good reason though. I put in a good solid 3 hours, very cool.

I’ve had a very busy 1-1/2 months since this spring term in college started, I’ve had more schoolwork to do and less computer play, but I think I’m caught up enough to play games on my computer off/on now to relax my brain some; along with hanging out with friends during the day as another way to relax/have fun. I have one more month until I’m done with spring term, I take summer term off so I can have more volunteering/fun time days, plus it’s a way to be fresh for fall term at the end of September

I better go, time to do schoolwork/study for my reading quiz tomorrow, later gator.

The past month

        May 11, 2008. Sunday

It’s Mother’s/Women’s Day, YAY.

I’m doing good, keeping busy as usual. School is going good. Today I’m doing slides for Mosaic Church, all three services-2 in the morning and one in the evening. I went to their worship practice a few days ago, it went good, after three months of not using MediaShout, I remembered 99 percent of what to do on it, I set the slides up and practiced with the worship team. I’m excited, I love doing slides, especially if it’s with my third church that I go to.

School is going good, my reading homework/quiz grades are ok and can improve to be better quickly, but I know I’m passing enough to be a good student still. I’m somewhat ahead in my reading homework, that way it’ll be easier to study for my quizzes hopefully. My psychology class is good, it’s fun as always, psychology is my favorite; we’re learning about genes and heredity right now. I may be falling asleep in my homework, but I’m catching up/being ahead when I’m up with energy to last the few hours needed, including all-nighters if required- which I pulled almost 40 hours of being up a couple Wednesday mornings ago to that Thursday night until I got caught up on typing my notes/vocabulary up for reading and psychology.

I better go, it’s a little bit of homework time or sleeping for four hours, I’ll figure it out. I may be busy everyday, but I accomplish a lot when I volunteer and go to school/church. Later gator.

        Mother’s/Women’s Day Prayer

For May 11, 2008, Sunday-

LORD, as individuals we are special and unique to our abilities and skills. Mother’s Day is tomorrow, and it’s more like Women’s Day because not all women are mothers or don’t have one. I pray FATHER that as we are followers of you, that the women in this world are in your presence, and that as we follow you more we see how nurturing gives life to others. I pray for the guys too, that as they’re part of the women’s lives, that their heart and love grows stronger for them. For the children, I pray that they are guided in your presence to be followers of you and keep the generation going of your creations and us women. In general, I pray for all, male or female, we need the same kind of support, your presence in our lives. Wherever we are in life and whatever we struggle with, guide and protect and help us to receive you more than ever and touch lives in need. Also, that we open our hearts to nurturing others in need. I thank you for life, and for mother’s/women’s day tomorrow. I pray this and more in your great name, AMEN.
