Why God Made Little Girls! God made the world with its towering trees , Majestic mountains and restless seas. Then, paused and said, '' It needs one more thing, Someone to laugh and dance and sing. To walk in the woods and gather flowers to commune with nature in quiet hours.'' So, God made little girls with laughing eyes and bouncing curls. With joyful hearts and infectious smiles, enchanting ways and feminine wiles, and when He'd completed the task He'd begun, He was pleased and proud! Of the job He'd done For the world, when seen through a little girl's eyes Greatly resembles Paradise!
I was in the Christian bookstore the other day and i stumbled upon a cassette of Susie Luchsinger. I had never heard of her before. I bought the tape and I really like it! There was a song on it that I really needed. It is called'' You'll get Through this'' In the past two years I have struggled with the betrayal of what I considered a very close friend. This person turned their back on me. But God has brought me through this. I still struggle with this daily. The devil has a way of bringing things up that hurt you. In my life i have been deeply loved and deeply hurt. Only God can heal a broken heart. Satan looks for the smallest opening to get in your life. I hope the lyrics to this song are an encouragement to someone who needs it. We will get through this even though we don't think we will. We are loved, we are special. We are beautiful! God cares about us! God will never turn His back on us! God is real!   You say that you want God to be real in your life. You want to feel Him, touch Him, hear Him speak to your heart. Well, open your eyes, ears, and heart. He is everywhere and if you look for Him and want Him to be real in your life, He will be. The Bible says that every good and perfect gift comes from God! Are you thankful for your life? Each day you wake up is a blessing. Try to think of ways that you can bless someone elses life. Put a smile on someone's face and joy in their heart! Read His Word and ask Him to speak to your heart. Look around in the beauty of nature. Do you see God? Do you hear Him? I see Him in the flowers. I feel His touch in the breeze. I hear His voice in the roar of the Ocean! i see Him in a child's smile. I feel His love in the warmth of a hug. God is just as real as you and I. But He will never be real in your life until you start looking for Him and listening for His call. Ask Him to be real in your life and show you His light. Lord of Your Life.  What brings you the most happiness and joy in your life? Whatever you put first in your life becomes your Lord! For some it is money or new houses and clothes. Other Lords that people have in their lives are the T.V. and the internet. Some people have even let their family be the Lord in their life! Now, there isn't anything wrong with loving your family. Just don't put them before God! For others, your Lord is your job. You are always trying to do more to please your boss. Instead of desiring to please your boss so much, how about trying to please God? Don't worry so much about what people think. Worry about what God thinks! When you get up in the morning, what is the first thing you think about? This is the Lord in your life! What ever you let come inbetween God and you becomes the Lord of your life. So, start today putting God in the rightful place of your life, first! When you get up in the morning, instead of jumping on the computer; why not pray and study your Bible FIRST ? You want to exercise your body to lose weight. Try exercising your spirit also! Christians need to be fed. The more you pray and study the Bible , the stronger you become for Him! Giving to the church and fellowshipping with other Christians, will also help you to be stronger for Him! (Matt. 6:33) (Ex. 34:6-7) The Lord is right there with you! Can you feel Him? Can you hear Him? Can you see Him? (Deut. 4:35-36) He has shown you He is real in your life. He wants you to hear His voice. He wants to instruct you if you will only listen! (Deut. 6:5) Do you love Him like this? (Ruth 2:4) The Lord will be with you and bring you out of your trouble! (II. Chron. 20:17) Let Him fight your battles for you! (Ex. 20:3-5) Anything that you put before God can become a Lord in your life! So, let's keep our priorities in order and make Jesus Lord of your life today! © Dottie Burford
In 1973, the Roe vs. Wade decision legalized abortion in the United States. Since that time, 40 to 50 million abortions have occured in the U.S. alone. Why are so many children being killed? Because many people do not believe that an unborn child is a living human being. Instead, they think of the unborn child as being just a lump of tissue inside the mother. They believe she can dispose of the child if she wants to. Sen. Gordon Humphrey clearly sums up abortion in this statement: '' Slavery was a lie about black people; abortion is a lie about pre-natal infants!'' Science and the Bible provide proof that an unborn child is a living human being. This proof leads ones to believe that abortion is murder and not a woman's right! Murder is the killing of a living thing. Pro-abortionists argue that the unborn child is not alive. Howerver, it has been proven that the unborn child is very much alive! By using Sonograms ( pictures taken using sound waves) in womb cameras and other medical devices. Doctors have discovered that unborn children smile, frown, sleep, suck their thumbs! They get the hiccups, kick and wiggle. They even practice breathing! Their brain activity can also be measured. These are just some of the scientific evidences that unborn children are indeed alive! The Bible also recognizes the unborn child as a living being! Luke chapter 1:41 says '' The babe leaped in her womb.'' This verse gives life to the unborn child. In Gen. 25:22 it states '' The children struggled within her.'' The Bible refers to the babies inside their mother as being children ,not a lump of tissue! The Greek word for '' babe'' and '' child'' is the same. Another argument pro-abortionists have is that the unborn child is not a person. Dr. James Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family, responds to this arguement. He says, '' It is interesting to note.... that a woman who plans to terminate her pregnancy usually refers to the life within her as 'the fetus' . But if she intends to deliver the child, she affectionately calls him 'the baby' ! The need for this distinction is obvious. If we are going to kill a human being without experiencing guilt, we must first strip it of worth and dignity! We must give it a clinical name that denies personhood. Most people wanting to end the life of their unborn child, refer to the unborn child as fetus. However, the meaning of the Latin word fetus is '' small baby'' . Scientific and Biblical proof have been presented that proves that unborn children are living, human beings! Still, many people believe that it is a woman's right to have an abortion. They have been tricked into thinking that an unborn child is not a part of its mother. And believe that it is a woman's right to do as she pleases with her own body. However, the unborn child is seperate from it's mother's body. Brad Hayton, formerly with Focus on the Family, points out, '' An unborn child has a different genetic make-up from its mother. It has its own respiratory system, its own heart, internal organs even sexuality. It recognizes the voice of its mother, can suck its thumb, hiccup, and even cry inside the womb, all on its own!'' Scientists have also proven that the mother's blood is seperate from the unborn child's.'' In the Bible, Lev. 17:11 says, '' The life of the flesh is the blood...'' This verse proves that an unborn child is not part of its mother but has a life of its own. Since the unborn child is seperate from its mother, she has no right to kill it! Brad Hayton states, '' The right to choose is not sacred.'' We don't give others the right to kill, steal, rape or harm others. Neither should they have the right to murder their children.'' Pro-life feminist, susan Carpenter McMillan adds, '' As a feminist, I believe strongly in a woman's right of choice. But with abortion, what we are talking about is the rights of another human being.'' Women aborting their babies are violating their children's rights. in conclusion, killing an unborn child is not a choice for a mother to make. The Bible teaches that we should preserve life, not destroy it! Each year 30 to 60 million abortions occur worldwide. if sickness killed that many people in one year, the world would look at it as a terrible epidemic. Putting God First!  This is the time of the year that people think about making a fresh start. Wipe the slate clean and start anew. Alot of people make New Year's resolutions. Do you want to lose weight? Or start a new exercise program? Do you desire to be a better husband or wife? Will you strive to spend more time with your children? Do you want to be a better steward with your money? how about remodeling the house? All of these things are good but the most important thing you can do is put God first in your life and set an example of this for your children! How can we do this? It is a good thing for our children to hear us pray and see us reading and studying our Bible. How do you talk around your children? Can they see the light of Jesus in your life? Do you have private and family devotions? If you don't spend time teaching your children the things of God, who will? They will be influenced by the T.V. and the world! So, I challenge you to influence them for Christ! When you get up in the morning, what is the first thing on your mind? Try studying your Bible and praying. Get up a few minutes earlier and make time for God! God to church as often as you can. All We Need!  What do you think you need in your life to make you happy? Is it money, a new car, a nice home? Would you like to have nice, new clothes to wear and plenty of money in the bank? All of these things are nice but they won't really bring you lasting happiness! Only Jesus Christ can bring you true happiness and joy! There are so many people searching for something to make them feel complete. If I just had ---------------------- I would be happy! People look for happiness in many things but they will never fill the void that only Jesus can fill in your life! You will not find it in drugs or alcohol or sex or a new job. You won't find it in new cars or houses or money in the bank! It is not what you have but WHO you have! Here are some of the things Jesus will give you that the world could never give! He will give you eternal salvation ( John 3:16-17) everlasting love ( Jer. 31:3) everlasting joy( John 15:11) everlasting peace ( John 14:27) contentment ( Phil. 4:11) a heavenly home ( II. Cor. 5:1) blessings (Ps. 31:24) hope, a comforter( John 14:16) you can lean on the everlasting arms( Deut. 33:27) © Dottie Burford

CHRISTmas  Thought I would go ahead and post my Christmas Bible study! I hope u enjoy it! This Christmas, instead of asking God to give you things, what can you give Him? The King of Kings and Lord of Lords! Give Him your life. Give Him your time. Give Him your love! Give Him your service. Think about how He has blessed us so! He says if we have food and clothes to be content! He will bless our contentment! The more we are content, the more He will bless us! Think about the precious gift that was born in a manger. He was born to die for us and rise again on the third day! He was born so that we could live! So, what does Christmas mean to you? Is it pretty trees and snow? Instead of counting how many gifts you receive this year, think about what you can give others and God! Take the time to help someone in need and share what the Good Lord has richly blessed you with!And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
