He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under is wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. - Psalm 91:4-6 (KJV). God does not want us to be afraid of anything. He covers and protects us when we trust Him. I have heard wonderful stories about people who have prayed the 91st Psalm over their lives, their families and their towns every day and how they escaped trouble. One, in particular, prayed the 91st Psalm over his town at God's Word. His town was spared in the 2004 Tsunami. I've also heard countless stories of soldiers who prayed it over themselves and their units in Iraq and not one of them was harmed. I pray the 91st Psalm every day over my family and I. I've seen us avoid near collisions, be safe in storms and come through situations that other people wouldn't have. And those are only the things I have seen. God only knows how many other things we have been diverted from If this chapter, which is under the Old Covenant, works this well, imagine how much more God will protect us and keep us under the New Covenant. The key is to take God at His Word. - Annagail Lynes ------------------- Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? Do you believe Jesus died to pay the price for your sin? That He was raised from the dead? Then just pray aloud, "Lord Jesus, I repent of all my sins. Come into my heart and be my Lord and Saviour." And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. - Matthew 16:19 (KJV). The keys to the Kingdom are left in our hands. The hands of people who don't know how to use them or don't know what they are for. Instead of worrying about what to bind in heaven, let's think about it this way: whatever is not acceptable in Heaven should not be acceptable on Earth, such as sickness, disease, poverty, condemnation and all the other things that Jesus died to give us. Remember what is prayed in the prayer that Jesus taught His disciples? On Earth as it is in Heaven (Luke 11:2). So whatever is not acceptable in Heaven is not acceptable here on Earth. These are the things we are to bind here on Earth because Jesus has give us the authority to do so. - Annagail Lynes ------------------- Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? - Jeremiah 32:27 (KJV). Yesterday, I listened to God speak to my spirit as I do every day. I have been going through some challenges within the last few weeks, which He began to address. He asked me, “Is anything too hard for Me?†Nothing is too hard for Him. Nothing. He can meet all my needs and all the needs of the entire galaxy and still not be depleted of resources. Isn’t that wonderful to know? The key is to think big. Ask big and expect the God of more-than-enough to do more-than-enough for you. He is just waiting for you to ask Him. - Annagail Lynes ------------------- Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? Do you believe Jesus died to pay the price for your sin? Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: - Philippians 1:6 (KJV). When it seems as if all is going wrong and that your dream will never come to pass, remember that God has begun a good work in you, and He will continue to work on it until the day of Christ. That is good news because if we know that God began the good work in us, then we know it cannot be left unfinished, uncompleted. Unlike us, God always finishes what He starts. - Annagail Lynes ------------------- Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? Do you believe Jesus died to pay the price for your sin? When he arrived and saw what grace (favor) God was bestowing upon them, he was full of joy; and he continuously exhorted (warned, urged, and encouraged) them all to cleave unto and remain faithful to and devoted to the Lord with [resolute and steady] purpose of heart. - Acts 11: 23 (AMP) When Barnabas arrived in Antioch, he saw the evidence of God's grace on the people. Can you say the same about your life? Can people see the evidence of God's grace in everything you do? Is His undeserved, unmerited favor all over you? Are you doing things that are too big for you to accomplish on your own in the natural? Remember if it's hard and a lot of work, then you are not tapping into God's grace. His grace, just like His yoke, is easy and light, and it points people who see it in manifested in your life to your God. - Annagail Lynes ------------------- Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? And the world passes away and disappears, and with it the forbidden cravings (the passionate desires, the lust) of it; but he who does the will of God and carries out His purposes in his life abides (remains) forever. - 1 John 2:17 (AMP). Have you ever heard of the desire test? That's where you think something is from God, so you pray about it. If your desire to do that thing becomes stronger, or you feel peace about it, then the desire is from God. If the desire wanes, it isn’t. God's desires, His Will, for us will never pass away, but ours will. We have to follow the advice in the book of Colossians (3:15 AMP) and let peace be our umpire. If we pray and feel peace, that is God leading us to do that thing. If we feel an absence of peace, that is God leading us against it. Pay attention to peace, or lack of it, every time you pray. - Annagail Lynes ------------------- Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? [The purpose is] that through the church the complicated, many-sided wisdom of God in all its infinite variety and innumerable aspects might now be made known to the angelic rulers and authorities (principalities and powers) in the heavenly sphere. This is in accordance with the terms of the eternal and timeless purpose which He has realized and carried into effect in [the person of] Christ Jesus our Lord. - Ephesians 3: 10-11 (AMP). God had an eternal purpose when He sent Jesus to this Earth to die for us. We are going to Heaven when we die because we have accepted Christ. However, most of us don't understand the correlation between our earthly purpose and our eternal one. We are not here to bide time. We are here to fulfill God's plan to reconcile others to Himself through our individual God-given purposes. Until we fulfill them, God's plan will be delayed, including the coming of our Lord. We cannot go to Heaven until our work on Earth is through. - Annagail Lynes ------------------- Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? For He foreordained us (destined us, planned in love for us) to be adopted (revealed) as His own children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the purpose of His will [because it pleased Him and was His kind intent]. - Ephesians 1: 5 (AMP). God predestined us to be His children. Isn't it wonderful to think that God thought of you before the foundation of the world? That He chose you to be His child? He didn't have to, but He did. He didn't have to send His Son to die for you, but He did. God loves you so much that He destined you to be His child, entitled to the rights and privileges that come from being a King's kid. - Annagail Lynes ------------------- Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. - Proverbs 16:3 When we commit our works to the Lord, He will establish our thoughts. Frankly, when I have a problem, my mind can dwell on it. My mind can reason it out until I am sick to my stomach. Our works, in essence, are anything we can do about the problem. When we commit these works to God, He causes our thoughts to become agreeable with His thoughts. Then our plans succeed. We, myself included, need to spend less time worrying about the bills, our purpose and the problems in our lives. Instead we should commit them to God, and let Him handle them. He is better at it than we are anyway. - Annagail Lynes ------------------- Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? Do you believe Jesus died to pay the price for your sin?
