Well Worth The Read
Posted On 03/16/2007 17:51:42

For GOD so loved the world that HE gave HIS only begotten SON, that whosoever (YOU) believeth in HIM should not perish but have everlasting life JOHN 3:16
It's a Wednesday night and you are at a church prayer meeting when somebody runs in from the parking lot yelling, "Turn on a radio, turn on a radio!"
And while the church listens to a little transistor radio with a microphone stuck up to it, the announcement is made: "Two women are lying in a Long Island hospital dying from a 'mystery' flu." Within hours it seems, this thing just sweeps across the country.
People are working around the clock trying to find an antidote. Nothing is working! California, Oregon, Arizona, Florida, Massachusetts.
It's as though it's just sweeping in from the borders.
And then, all of a sudden, the news comes out. The code has been broken. A cure can be found. A vaccine can be made. It's going to take the blood of somebody who hasn't been infected, and so, sure enough, all through the Midwest, through all those channels of emergency broadcasting,
everyone is asked to do one simple thing: Go to your downtown hospital and have your blood type taken. That's all we ask of you. When you hear the sirens go off in your neighborhood, please make your way quickly, quietly, and safely to the hospitals.
Sure enough, when you and your family get down there late on that Friday night, there is a long line, and they've got nurses and doctors coming out and pricking fingers and taking blood and putting labels on it.
Your wife and your kids are out there, and they take your blood type and they say, "Wait here in the parking lot and if we call your name, you can be dismissed and go home."
You stand around, scared, with your neighbors, wondering what in the world is going on and if this is the end of the world.
Suddenly a young man comes running out of the hospital screaming. He's yelling a name and waving a clipboard. What? He yells it again! And your son tugs on your jacket and says, "Daddy, that's me."
Before you know it, they have grabbed your boy. Wait a minute!
Hold on! And they say, "It's okay, his blood is clean. His blood is pure.
We want to make sure he doesn't have the disease. We think he has got the right type." Five tense minutes later, out come the doctors and nurses, crying and hugging one another . some are even laughing. It's the first time you have seen anybody laugh in a week, and an old doctor walks up to you and says, "Thank you, sir. Your son's blood type is perfect. It's clean, it is pure, and we can make the vaccine." As the word begins to spread all across that parking lot full of folks, people are screaming and praying and laughing and crying.
Then the gray-haired doctor pulls you and your wife aside and says, "May we see you for moment? We didn't realize that the donor would be a minor and we need . we need you to sign a consent form." You begin to sign and then you see that the number of pints of blood to be taken has been left blank.
"H-how many pints?", you ask.
And that is when the old doctor's smile fades and he says, "We had no idea it would be little child. We weren't prepared. I'm sorry sir, we need it all!"
"But but .. You don't understand."
"We are talking about the world here. Please sign. We need it all!"
"But can't you give him a transfusion?"
"If we had clean blood we would. Can you sign? Would you sign?"
In numb silence, you do.
Then they say, "Would you like to have a moment with him before we begin?"
Can you walk back? Can you walk back to that room where he sits on a table saying, "Daddy? Mommy? What's going on?" Can you take his hands and say, "Son, your mommy and I love you, and we would never ever let anything happen to you that didn't just have to be. Do you understand that?"
And when that old doctor comes back in and says, "I'm sorry, we've GOT to get started! People all over the world are dying.
Can you leave?"
Can you walk out while he is saying, "Daddy? Mommy? Daddy?
"Why, why have you forsaken me?"
And then next week, when they have the ceremony to honor your son some folks sleep through it ... some folks don't even come because they go to the lake or the seashore ... some folks come with a pretentious smile and just "pretend" to care. Would you want to jump up and say, "MY SON DIED FOR YOU! DON'T YOU CARE?"
Is that what GOD wants to say? "MY SON DIED FOR YOU. DON'T YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I CARE?"
"FATHER, Seeing it from YOUR eyes breaks our hearts. Maybe now we can begin to comprehend the great Love YOU have for us."
*You can now spread the GOSPEL . or just delete this email.
If you are not ashamed of GOD or what HE has done for you pass this on.

GOD SAID NO!!!!!!
Posted On 03/16/2007 17:44:07

I hope that you can get the effects on your computers! The words are great, but the movements of the faces add a lot....

I asked God to take away my habit.

God said, No.
It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.
I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.
God said, No.
His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary.

I asked God to grant me patience.
God said, No.Patience is a byproduct of tribulations; it isn't granted, it is learned.

I asked God to give me happiness.
God said, No.I give you blessings; Happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain.
God said, No.Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me.
I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said, No.You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life.
God said, No.
I will give you life, so that you may enjoy all things.

I asked God to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me.
God said...Ahhhh, finally you have the idea.

If you love God, send this to ten people and back to the person that sent it.

THIS DAY IS YOURS DON'T THROW IT AWAY

May God Bless You,

"To the world you might be one person,
but to one person you just might be the world"
"May the Lord Bless you and keep you,
May the Lord Make his face shine upon you,
and give you Peace......Forever"

"Good friends are like stars...You don't always see them,
but you know they are always there.

Mothers
Posted On 03/16/2007 10:23:27
THIS WILL GIVE YOU CHILLS AND A HAPPY TEAR!
ALL MOTHERS SHOULD READ THIS.
LOVE

MOTHER

This is a truly BEAUTIFUL piece. Please
read this at a slow pace, digesting every word and in
leisure...do not hurry....this is a treasure...

For those lucky to still be blessed with your Mom,
this is beautiful. For those of us who aren't, this is
even more beautiful. For those who are moms, you'll love this.

The young mother set her foot on the path of life. "Is
this the long way?" she asked. And the guide said: "Yes, and the way is hard.
And you will be old before you reach the end of it.. But
the end will be better than the beginning."

But the young mother was happy, and she would not
believe that anything could be better than these years. So she
played with her children, and gathered flowers for
them along the way, and bathed them in the clear streams; and
the sun shone on them, and the young Mother cried,
"Nothing will ever be lovelier than this."

Then the night came, and the storm, and the path was
dark, and the children shook with fear and cold, and the mother
drew them close and covered them with her mantle, and the children said,
"Mother, we are not afraid, for you are near, and no harm can come."

And the morning came, and there was a hill ahead, and
the children climbed and grew weary, and the mother was weary.
But at all times she said to the children," A little patience and we are there."
So the children climbed, and when they reached the top
they said, "Mother, we would not have done it without you."

And the mother, when she lay down at night looked up
at the stars and said, "This is a better day than the last, for my
children have learned fortitude in the face of hardness. Yesterday I gave them courage.
Today, I 've given them strength."

And the next day came strange clouds which darkened
the earth, clouds of war and hate and evil, and the children groped
and stumbled, and the mother said: "Look up. Lift your eyes to the light.
" And the children looked and saw above the clouds
an everlasting glory, and it guided them beyond the
darkness. And that night the Mother said,
"This is the best day of all, for
I have shown my children God."

And the days went on, and the weeks and the months and
the years, and the mother grew old and she was little and bent.
But her children were tall and strong, and walked with
courage. And when the way was rough, they lifted her,
for she was as light as a feather; and at last they came to a hill,
and beyond they could see a shining road and golden gates flung wide. And
mother said, "I have reached the end of my journey. And now I know the end
is better than the beginning, for my children can
walk alone, and their children after them."

And the children said, "You will always walk with us,
Mother, even when you have gone through the gates."
And they stood and watched her as she went on alone, and the gates
closed after her. And they said: "We cannot see her
but she is with us still. A Mother like ours is more than a memory. She
is a living presence......."

Your Mother is always with you.... She's the whisper
of the leaves as you walk down the street; she's the smell of bleach
in your freshly laundered socks; she's the cool hand
on your brow when you're not well. Your Mother lives
inside your laughter. And she's crystallized in every tear drop.
She's the place you came from, your first home; and
she's the map you follow with every step you take. She's your first love
and your first heartbreak, and nothing on earth can
separate you.

Not time, not space... not even death!

PASS THIS ON TO ALL THE MOTHERS &CHILDREN YOU KNOW.
MAY WE NEVER TAKE OUR MOTHERS FOR GRANTED...

Pass it on to the men too because they have mothers too

Our Troops
Posted On 03/16/2007 10:13:34
Dear Heavenly Father,

As we remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom,
we think of how they have followed in the footsteps of your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ.
For all of our military, especially those who are in harm's way,
hold these precious service men and women in your strong arms. Cover them with your
sheltering grace and presence as they stand in the gap for our protection.

We also remember the families of our troops, and ask for your unique blessings to
fill their homes and your peace, provision and strength to fill their lives.

May the members of our armed forces be filled with courage to face each day
and may they trust in the Lord's mighty power to accomplish each task.

Let our military brothers and sisters feel our love and support.
Bless our President and all of our leaders...

In the Name of Jesus.

Amen

You never know when God is going to bless you
Posted On 03/14/2007 23:48:59
I received this prayer today, and I'm sharing with all of You...

Pray this even if you don't feel like it. It will only take a minute

Prov. 29:25...

You never know when GOD is going to bless you!!!!

Good things happen when you least expect them to.

Dear Lord, I thank You for this day, I thank You
for my being able to see and to hear this morning.
I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an
understanding God. You have done so much for me and
You keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for
everything I have done, said or thought that was not
pleasing to you.

I ask now for Your forgiveness. Please keep me
safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this
day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude.
Let me make the best of each and every day to clear
my mind so that I can hear from You. Please broaden
my mind that I can accept all things. Let me not
whine and whimper over things I have no control
over, and it's the best response when I'm pushed beyond
my limits.

I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my
heart. Continue to use me to do Your will. Continue
to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep
me strong that I may help the weak... keep me
uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for
others. I pray for those that are lost and can't
find their way. I pray for those that are misjudged
and misunderstood. I pray for those who don't know
You intimately. I pray for those that will delete
this without sharing it with others I pray for those
that don't believe.

But I thank you that I believe that God changes
people and God changes things. I pray for all my
sisters and brothers. For each and every family
member in their households. I pray for peace , love
and joy in their homes. I pray that every eye that
reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance,
or situation greater than God. Every battle is in
Your hands for You to fight.

I pray that these words be received into the
hearts of every eye that sees it. God I love you
and I need you, come into my heart, please

Wonderful sentimental story of success in Tennessee
Posted On 03/13/2007 19:00:38
A Seminary professor was vacationing with his wife in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

One morning, they were eating breakfast in a little restaurant,

hoping to enjoy a quiet, family meal.

While they were waiting for their

food, they noticed a distinguished looking,

white haired man moving from table to table,

visiting with the guests.

The professor leaned over and

whispered  to  his wife, "I hope he doesn't come over here."

But sure enough, the man did

come over to their table.

"Where are you folks from?" he asked in a friendly voice.

"Oklahoma," they answered.

"Great to have you here in Tennessee," the stranger said.

"What do you do for a living?"

"I teach at a seminary," he replied.

"Oh, so you teach preachers how to preach, do you?

Well, I've got a really good story for you."

And with that, the gentleman pulled up a chair and sat down at the table with the couple.

The professor groaned

and thought to himself,

"Great , just what I need--another preacher story!

The man started, "See that mountain over there?"

(pointing out a restaurant window)

"Not far from the base of that mountain,

there was a boy born to  an  unwed mother.

He had a hard time growing up, because every place he went,

he was always asked the same question.

"Hey boy, who's your daddy?"

Whether he was at school, in the grocery store or drug store,

people would ask the same question

"Who's your daddy?"

He would hide at recess and lunchtime from other students.

He would avoid going into stores because

that question hurt him so much.

When he was about 12 years old, a new preacher came to his church.

He would always go in late and slip out early to

avoid hearing the question,

Who's your daddy ?"

But one day, the new preacher said the benediction so fast, he got caught and had to walk out with the crowd.  Just about the time he got to the back door, the new preacher, not knowing anything about him put his hand on his shoulder and asked him,

"Son, who's your daddy?"

The whole church got deathly quiet  He could feel every eye in the church looking at him.

Now everyone would finally know the answer to the, question,

"Who's your daddy?"

The new preacher, though, sensed the situation

around him and using discernment that only the Holy Spirit could give,

said the following to  the scared little boy.

"Wait a minute!" he said. "I know who you are.  I see

the family resemblance now.

You are a child of God."

With that, He patted the boy on his shoulder and said. "Boy,

you've got a great inheritance.

Go and claim it. "

With that, the boy smiled for the first time in a long time and

walked out the door a changed person.  He was never the

same again.  Whenever anybody asked him,

"Who's your Daddy?" he'd just tell them,

I'm a child of God."

The distinguished gentleman got up from the table and said,

"Isn't that a  great story?"

The professor responded that it really was a great story!

As the man turned to leave, he said, "You know, if that new

preacher hadn't told me that I was one of God's children,

I probably would never have amounted to anything!"

And he walked away.

The seminary professor and his wife were stunned.

He called the waitress over and asked her,

"Do you know that man who just left that was sitting at our table?"

The waitress grinned and said, "Of course.

Everybody here knows him.

That's Ben Hooper.

He's the former governor of Tennessee!"

Someone in your life today needs a reminder that they are one of God's  children.

"The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the Word of God

stands forever." Isaiah 40:8

I LIE TO MYSELF

I lie to myself
Reality hurts to much
I avoid the things that trigger pain
I use it as my crutch

I pretend inside my mind
That life is just the same
Then it hits me with full force again
I am playing a silly game

I keep my feelings hid
Push them deep within my heart
I start to cry and wish to die
I am close to falling apart

I wear that lonely mask
Thinking it hides this pain
Tears flow from underneath
Life remains the same

I wish to be free
I scream and demand
Losing you has changed my life
No one can understand

Jeremiah 2;1-13
Posted On 03/13/2007 18:53:41
Jeremiah 2: 1-13print this prayer

The word of the LORD came to me, saying,

"Go and proclaim in the hearing of Jerusalem, Thus says the LORD, I remember the devotion of your youth, your love as a bride, how you followed me in the wilderness, in a land not sown. Israel was holy to the LORD, the first fruits of his harvest. All who ate of it became guilty; evil came upon them, says the LORD."

Hear the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel. Thus says the LORD:

"What wrong did your fathers find in me that they went far from me, and went after worthlessness, and became worthless? They did not say, 'Where is the LORD who brought us up from the land of Egypt, who led us in the wilderness, in a land of deserts and pits, in a land of drought and deep darkness, in a land that none passes through, where no man dwells?' And I brought you into a plentiful land to enjoy its fruits and its good things. But when you came in you defiled my land, and made my heritage an abomination. The priests did not say, 'Where is the LORD?' Those who handle the law did not know me; the rulers transgressed against me; the prophets prophesied by Ba'al,and went after things that do not profit.

"Therefore I still contend with you, says the LORD, and with your children's children I will contend. For cross to the coasts of Cyprus and see, or send to Kedar and examine with care; see if there has been such a thing. Has a nation changed its gods, even though they are no gods? But my people have changed their glory for that which does not profit. Be appalled, O heavens, at this, be shocked, be utterly desolate, says the LORD, for my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed out cisterns for themselves, broken cisterns, that can hold no water."
