God is always providing
Posted On 08/05/2006 08:16:15
God is always providing opportunities for you to advance in life. It's His desire that you constantly learn and grow and experience His abundance. Have you ever been afraid to step out and take an opportunity set before you because you aren't sure it's the right thing to do? Has your life become stagnate and mediocre because you're afraid to try new things? In order to experience the abundant life God has in store for you, you have to begin moving forward and explore the open doors in your path. The enemy will try anything to keep you living in mediocrity. He knows that once you start moving forward, God will be able to lead you in His perfect will. Sometimes you may come to some closed doors before you find the open doors, but as you keep moving, you'll be one step closer to fulfilling God's plan of victory for your life. Once you make the decision to step out, you'll learn to follow the Lord's leading and God will open supernatural opportunities before you! Hugs, Maggie

What is Pride?
Posted On 08/05/2006 08:11:31
What is pride? Have you ever found yourself in any of these situations, or do you know of anyone? well as for me I know I have, and everyday i ask the Lord to kill pride, as it can hinder my blessings. Some times we do walk in so much pride that we do not know it, because it as become a part of our lives until some one points it out to us.So as you read please see if any of these are still affecting you still. I know that God is able to deliver. Hugs, Maggie Pride is the belief that you: Have everything in your life under control because of your uniqueness, power, authority, and competence; you don't need anyone or anything to help you maintain things at an even keel. Have a special relationship with God. He will never send you challenges, tragedies, or disasters that you can't handle on your own. Are the center of the world, universe, or cosmos. Have the answer for everything in your life and in the lives of others. Are the best thing that has happened since ``crushed ice'' and that everyone you come in contact with should recognize your brilliance, intelligence, competence, spirituality, sense of humor, good looks, skills, and abilities. Have excellent self-esteem, which is a mask behind which low self-esteem are hidden. Deserve to have everybody, the world and God, give you what you desire, in life. If you don't get it, then it is everybody else's fault for not giving it to you. Are above all rules; you need not go by the rules of life, society, the work place, religion, marriage, or family life. Do not have to study hard, apply yourself at work, grow in spirituality, work at your marriage, or work on personal growth on a daily basis because you are different from the rest of humanity; ``things'' will just come naturally, spontaneously, and deservedly to you. Are all powerful, all knowing, faultless, immortal; you need no refining, retuning, or occasional checkups. With such pride you live a life of indifference, avoidance, and denial of the warning signs that what you believe yourself to be is not what you really are. Have the answer, the way, and the truth while everyone else is dishonest, lacking in perfection, and needing growth. Pride makes you impatient, distrusting, and not accepting of those who do not ascribe to your philosophy, spiritual beliefs, psychological principles, and sociological mandates. Have no more to learn. You have reached your goal and there is no chance of a relapse, set back, or reactivation of the problem for which you originally went into treatment. This is a mask for people in recovery and undergoing treatment for dysfunctional family illness. It can be the result of over exuberance, an emotional high, a naive belief, and not understanding that change is a lifelong process.

Love & Hate ; An interesting lesson......
Posted On 08/04/2006 21:53:56
Yet another reason to say THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!!!! Here's a lesson we all should learn & meditate on. It's someithing I know I've been trying to work on. John 15:17-27 17) This I command you, to love one another.18) If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. 19) If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20) Remember the word that I said to you, `A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you; if they kept my word, they will keep yours also. 21) But all this they will do to you on my account, because they do not know him who sent me. 22) If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. 23) He who hates me hates my Father also. 24) If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would not have sin; but now they have seen and hated both me and my Father. 25) It is to fulfil the word that is written in their law, `They hated me without a cause.' 26) But when the Counselor comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness to me; 27) and you also are witnesses, because you have been with me from the beginning. never made a fortune, and it's probably too late now.

But I don't worry about that much, I'm happy anyhow.

And as I go along life's way, I'm reaping better than I sowed. I'm drinking from my saucer,
 '
Cause my cup has overflowed.

Haven't got a lot of riches, and sometimes the going's tough. But I've got loving ones all around me, and that makes me rich enough.

I thank God for his blessings, and the mercies He's bestowed. I'm drinking from my saucer,

'Cause my cup has overflowed.

I remember times when things went wrong, My faith wore somewhat thin. But all at once the dark clouds broke, and the sun peeped through again.

So Lord, help me not to gripe, about the tough rows I have hoed. I'm drinking from my saucer,
 '
Cause my cup has overflowed.

If God gives me strength and courage, When the way grows steep and rough.  I'll not ask for other blessings, I'm already blessed enough.

And may I never be too busy, to help others bear their loads. Then I'll keep drinking from my saucer,
"Cause my cup has overflowed."

Trading my Sorrows!
Posted On 08/04/2006 02:16:37
This is a blog I posted 5/28/06 on Grab.com another site I'm on. It all still applies but Pastor Eric has left us for the other Church. The song turned out great even though I never did find the sheet music. God blessed me to play by ear. If anyone knows where I can find the music still I'd love to have it.

Hi everyone. I wanted to share another song with you all. I love it & hope you will too, this one you can hear if you go to the link below & pick  # 2. We were supposed to do this for our woman's retreat that got canceled. :(  I was sorting through all the music I've collected & learned on the praise team the past two months and found it, and felt the need to share it.  I'm still on a maddening search for sheetmusic of the song Marriageof the Lamb by Cheryl Thomas & Scott Brenner, it's on the touching the fathers heart seires # 23. That is where I hit my rock in reasearching this song. I have the lyrics, the gutair chords, Cd, but cant find the sheetmusic. All I really need is the flute parts done by Greg Vail cause I'm having problems picking it out by ear. I wish I could find a web version of that song for you all to hear it's an Awesome Song!!! If Any of you have the music or know where I can get it please let me know. We are playing it a week from today, on Pastor Eric's last day with us. . Thanks everyone & Enjoy the song, let me know what you think of this powerful song.

Trading My Sorrows

  Darrell Evans

I'm trading my sorrow
I'm trading my shame
I'm laying it down for the joy of the Lord

I'm trading my sickness
I'm trading my pain
I'm laying it down for the joy of the Lord

Chorus:
And we say yes Lord yes Lord yes yes Lord
Yes Lord yes Lord yes yes Lord
Yes Lord yes Lord yes yes Lord Amen

I'm pressed but not crushed persecuted not abandoned
Struck down but not destroyed
I'm blessed beyond the curse for his promise will endure
And his joy's gonna be my strength

Though the sorrow may last for the night
His joy comes with the morning

THE LORD ALMIGHTY REIGNS
Posted On 08/04/2006 01:43:01
THE LORD ALMIGHTY REIGNS Terry Butler Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah The Lord reigns Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah The Lord Almighty reigns He has shown his awesome power He has triumphed mightily He's the victor over darkness and the grave He has broken the chains that bound us He has set the prisoners free By his own great mercy we are saved This song is such a great song I wanted to share it with you all & a cute little uplifting story about it. My three year old son, Bradley, wanted to hear the "Hallelujah Song" So I I played that for him & said lets hear another one that we havent heard in awhile. "Trading my Sorrows". Well this was Wed. night we did this I thought I should blog or but this up for song of the day about this song. God was asking me to share but the computer wasn't cooperating so I didnt get the oppertunity to do it. I FINALLY after a short absence ( 1 month seemed like forever) from our Praise Team at church got to go back tonight (Thursday). Well it's a lot different with the new pastor but it was great to be back. I'm the flutest and in the choir; But the really neat thing is besides the great feeling of joy & welcome in my heart is We are singing both those songs and 3 others 2 of which are perfect for the flute. I feel soooooo happy and blessed!!! The other thing is that because of vacations & such our praise team is very thin this week, we have 2 gutairs(maybe), drums and flute, No piano :( I've been having problems with work being able to get off for practice or church. My boss even said "screw church" after promising me when I was hired a few months ago Sundays off & pratice day a 7am - 3pm shift. That was my one & only request. Well I've been praying that something would break & I'd be able to get back SOON. Well I do believe in the power of prayer even more cause God not only found the way but showed me with these two wonderful songs. I continue to pray that this schedule continues & that God will touch my bosses heart in more ways then just allowing me to be off. I'll share the other song in my next blog as I'm sure I tired your eyes out on this one. God Bless you all! Hugs, Maggie

God plans it all!
Posted On 07/23/2006 03:21:24
GOD PLANS IT ALL Do not panic. Do not fret. God's not finished with you yet. He is working every day To determine the very best way. At times, it may seem that He's not there. That's the time to say a prayer. His love for you has not diminished. You will know when He is finished. Trials will be coming one by one. Rejoice and see what He has done. Experience is the way to teach. You are never beyond His reach. You will never travel alone Since He directs you from His throne. You should strive to please Him first. He will satisfy each thirst. If you want real joy and peace, His love for you will never cease. Living for Jesus is the life That will keep you free from strife. Give Him glory and your praise And your spirit, He will raise. Just relax and enjoy His kindness. He will keep you from sin's blindness.
