“A Small Green Plant” I am but a small plant, green and strong, growing on to maturity. In spite of the heat and the strong dry winds, I am still a green plant. I was a seed planted in fertile soil, watered and nurtured by the masters hands. He pruned me and took away the leaves
that were decayed to give room for new growth. I am ever growing and reaching and soon I will bloom,
then on to maturity to bear much fruit.
But alas I am still but a small green plant.
