I am a Born Again Christian who Attends Church of God In Christ (COGIC), I am very active within my church. I am Native American and part Black, I was born in New York City and raised in Chapel Hill, N.C. I attended Norfolk State University, Cheyney University, Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Maryland majoring in Law and Psychology.
Since then, I have worked for the F.B.I for 21 years, I've worked as an Adult Probation Officer, for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, the U.S. Pentagon and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. I have also worked with numerous attorneys as well as have written several proposals for government agencies. I still work as a Political Organizer and Fundraiser. I just recently worked with Pittsburgh Steeler Charlie Batch and Former Steeler Lynn Swann on fundraising events.
In 2001, I married my wonderful husband who is a International Chef. We are the owners of Sahar's Catering Company and our goal is to open a Christian Supper Club. In 2002, we welcomed our beautiful daughter, Sahar, into the world. We are very proud of her, so young yet she speaks three languages fluently. I have won numerous awards for my work performance within the federal government and sit on several boards within the Pittsburgh region. Along with my mother, I am the proprietor of two Boutiques and a Day Care Learning Center in Pittsburgh. I am a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and is a Sigma Dove Sweetheart for Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and one of the founders of LADY OF MAK, INC.
In 2004 I was hospitalized for eight months and in a nursing home for four months due to medical error and complications to Gastric Bypass Surgery. After the birth of my daughter I gained 150 pounds. On May 1, 2006 , I had to have revise surgery due to the complications and since April of 2004 I have had a total of 10 operations and will require additional surgery in March of 2007. Today I have lost a total of 285 pounds and weigh 145. Despite my disability I do not let any obstacles stand in my way. Nothing stands in my way! I currently attend Duquesne University to obtain my Law Degree. My goal is to become a Criminal Lawyer. I know God has not brought me this far for nothing.
