My name is Mike. I attend Shadow Ridge High in North Las Vegas. I am awesomely in love with Jesus Christ and am quite a bit differnt from most people. I strive to know and understand the one who died in my place. Everyday I get to see a little bit more of Him and understand His ways, yet my thirst to know Him is never satisfied becuause there is so much to know about Him. Though, there are many people I can relate with, the majority of the world does not undrstand us who desire to know someone we cannot see or touch. I see sooo many things that are totaly horrible. For example abortion; it kills innocent people. Abortion never gives those poor babies the opertunity to live thier lives for God who is their creator. It really hurts me to see people protesting in the streets against pro life. I understand that women want the right to do what ever they want to their bodies, that's totaly understandable!!! I mean it's your body, do what you want with it. However, when it effects another person's life it is no longer understandable, but rather wrong, imoral, and selfish. To kill an innocent person (in this case an unborn baby) is just like being a terrorsist from 9/11. They killed around 3,000 people in one day. The citizens of the United States were in a total uproar. I find it horrifying that over 42,000,000 babies have been killed through surgical and chemical abortion in the U.S. since "Roe vs. Wade" was passed yet hardly anything has been done!!!! My prayers go out the women who have had an abortion. I can't even begin to imagine what it's like to lose such a preciouse gift from God (because I'm a guy). Another thing that I feel I need to address is homosexuality. I know a lot of people say that God created homosexuality or that He says that it is ok. The truth is homosexuality is not ok. It is a sin. God says that homosexuality is an abomination to Him; the homosexual him/her self is not the abomination rather the act of it is. God will not leave us the way we were when we first accepted Him. He will begin to chang our hearts and day by day he will mold us into the person He desires for us to be. God loves every single one of us, that is why He sent Jesus to die in our places so that we may have life through Him (Christ Jesus) if we just accept Him as King of our lives. A sin is a sin no matter how society views it. For example, society says a lie is just a little ole lie, well I'm here to say that a lie is just as bad as murder. Why?, because they both seperate us from God. I do not hate people who are homosexual, and it is wrong to do so; my sins are no better than anyone else's. Also God told us to "love our neigbor as ourselves", He didn't say "love our neigbor only if their straight". We all have our weak points in life, Jesus preached love, kindness and forgivness.
