By Ms. Maya Angelou When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'." I'm whispering "I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven." When I say... "I am a Christian" I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak And need His strength to carry on. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed And need God to clean my mess. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect, My flaws are far too visible But, God believes I am worth it. When I say... "I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches So I call upon His name. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not holier than thou, I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow! (Share this with somebody who already has this understanding, as reinforcement. But more importantly, share this with those who do not have a clear understanding of what it means to be a Christian, so that the myth that Christians think they are "perfect" or "better than others" can be dispelled.)

Hello sweetie, Sorry I haven't been on much lately,I have been having severe headaches and the Dr's. were having a hard time trying to figure out why. They now know they are coming from the nerve damage in my back so I am going to have to have surgery again on my back. I go back to the Dr. Thursday and I should know then when I will have the surgery, Please keep me in your prayers. I miss being on here and sending sweet comments to a very sweet and dear friend. Even though I'm not on a lot right now, always remember how special you are to me. You are and will always be very dear and precious to my heart. The Fact That God Is A Living Being In Essence Our Father And That He Remembers Us While We Are Separated From Him And Is Happy When We Return Is An Idea That Should Make All Christians Jump For Joy Because It Depicts God As Very Personal In Our Lives Which Is What Jesus Was Trying To Tell His Listeners In Luke 15:11-32 And What He Tells Us Today God Wants A Personal Relationship With Us We Should Seek It Daily

The Samaritan woman's spirit is enlightened, accelerated, and illuminated by Jesus. She now realizes what it means to take freely of the water of life, which is the spiritual refreshment that comes into her soul after her encounter and confession with Jesus. Not only was she impressed that Jesus knew all her sins, but she was also given the opportunity to have those sins forgiven. She believes he is truly the Messiah, the Anointed One. She repents of her past misdeeds and goes back to tell her family, friends, and neighbors how she met Jesus and how he revealed his knowledge of her sins and his offer of live-giving water, which brings eternal life. She went on to lead many conversions in this area through her zeal and love for God The Samaritan woman doesn't appear again in scripture, but for centuries afterward, numerous spiritual writers, theologians, and scholars retold and pondered her encounter with Jesus. Augustine (AD 354-430), for instance, uses the example of the woman at the well to describe the spiritual thirst the human heart has for goodness and truth and that thirst is never quenched until people are in the presence of God forever

Put Your Spiritual Blinders On You know how a farmer gets his horse to plow the ground and not get distracted on every little thing around him? Do you know how he keeps him from getting distracted? He puts blinders on him, that way he can't see to the left or right, he has to look straight ahead. That way he keeps his eye on the goal. That is the same way, we as Christians have to do. We have to put on our spiritual blinders, and follow after our leader.(JESUS) When we have our spiritual blinders on, we don't see every little thing standing on the side way to distract us, scare us and cause us to lose track of our goal. We can't allow ourselves to get side tracked with (financial problems, death of a loved one, children, lack of work, unpaid and mounting bills, sickness, unforgiveness, etc.) All these things are sent by the enemy to sidetrack us. Do you have your spiritual blinders on, or are you zig~zagging through life, leaving an unkempt row? Keep your eyes on Jesus, and all that stuff on the side wont affect you as much. Notice the horse is not DEAF, he can still hear what's going on around him, but he does not get scared of the sounds(reports) because his eyes are FIXED upon the goal. Just something to think about. I pray the blessings of God upon each one of you and I pray that every need is met, sometimes we must face trials in order to become strong and know who our faith is in. Is it in God, or the arm of flesh? Are we trying to fix things or are we allowing God to mold and make us on the Potter's Wheel?
