We Stand Poised At The Start Of A Brand New Year.
No one, Except The Lord, Knows What Lies Ahead
Life Is An Adventurous Journey
With All Kinds Of Unseen Obstacles And Thrills Before Us
There's No Need To Fear, Though
Jesus Is Our Guide For The Times Before Us
He Longs To Make Our Journey Easier And More Enjoyable
As We Trust
And Follow His Lead
We Are Saying Goodbye To An Old Year.
Sometimes It's Tempting To Want To Stay Where We Are
With All Its Comfort And Security.
Yet Jesus Is always Calling Us To Follow
To Follow Is To Go Forward
Our Lord Desires To Show Us Fresh Truths
Through New Adventures
He Knows The Further We Go With Him
On His Path,
The Stronger We Will Grow
In His Love

But Mary Treasured Up All These Things
And Pondered Them In Her Heart.

No Mother Could Have Possibly
Loved Her Child More Than Mary Did,
Knowing That Her Child Was Her Lord.
We Must Bear In Mind
That From Her knowledge of the Old Testament Scriptures
And Her Acute Perception Of Just Who Her Son Was
There Would Have Been Times
When The Discernment Of His Impending Death
Caused Her Much Heart-Searching And Sadness
Here Was A Young Hebrew woman
Who Had Found Great Favour With God
And Was Subsequently Entrusted With The Care
Upbringing And Nurture Of His Only Son.
Mary Possessed All The Necessary Spiritual Attributes
To Help Her Carry Out The Daunting Task
Of Bringing Up Her Son.
This She Did With Much Dignity
And A Deep Reverence For God.
And Pondered Them In Her Heart

The Mind Can Scarcely Contain The Thought
Of God Himself
Being Born Into Our World As A Man
That He Might Die In Our World
As A Man
That God Himself
Should Bear Our Sins , Our Iniquities
And In Doing So
Would Be Able To Justifiably, As God
Forgive Those Sins
While At The Same Time
Exacting The Utmost Penalty
That His Holiness Requires
His Name Shall Be Called Jesus
Name Above All Names

When We Commit Our Hearts And Lives To Jesus,
He Fills Us With His Joy
Joy That Can Never Be Taken Away
No Matter How Hard Our Enemy Tries To Defeat Us.
Unless We Keep The Joy Of The Lord In Our Hearts
We Are Unable To Be A Witness
To Our Loved Ones And To The World
We Need To Run To Jesus
When We Are Hurting And Feel Like Giving Up
And Allow Him To Encourage Us
All Of Us Have Circumstances That We Face
And They Sometimes Absolutely Leaves Us Breathless
But We Must Hang On To His Joy
For That Someone Who Will Cross Our Path
They Will Need To See
The Joy Of Christ Alive In Us
Alone We Are Powerless To Fight Life’s Daily Battles
But We Have Jesus Living In Us
He Will Fight Our Battles For Us
And Bring Us To Victory
Hold On Tight To Jesus
Hold Steadfast To Your Joy
And You Will Be Able To
Stand Against Any Attack
That Satan Tries To Put Upon You
The Fact That God Is A Living Being
In Essence Our Father
And That He Remembers Us
While We Are Separated From Him
And Is Happy When We Return
Is An Idea That Should Make All Christians Jump For Joy
Because It Depicts God As Very Personal In Our Lives
Which Is What Jesus Was Trying To Tell His Listeners In Luke 15:11-32
And What He Tells Us Today
God Wants A Personal Relationship With Us
We Should Seek It Daily
