The Salt of the Earth
Jesus said, "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men."( Matthew 5:13) Salt cleanses; it preserves; it brings out taste. If you want to cleanse a stain from a cup, use salt. If you want to preserve meat from rotting, use salt. If you want to bring out the flavor of food, use salt. It has many properties, but the one common denominator is that it must come into contact with something to do its work. It needs to be scattered out of the saltshaker. If we don't shake ourselves into reaching the lost, God may shake us. Remember, He allowed Saul of Tarsus to scatter the early Church. We are told that they were "scattered abroad, and went everywhere preaching the word."(Acts 8:4) There goes another minute. Gone forever. Go share your faith while you still have time.

My name is Greg Perryman & I'm from Sand Springs, just outside Tulsa Ok. I'm married to the love of my life. My wife Donna and I have four daughters & three grandchildren. My life is my family and "church family" I grew up here and moved away a few times, went out on tour a few times, (I've played with Some famous & some not so famous, not that it matters) but always came back home. I am one of the founding members of "The Charburgers Band", but now am a member of The Trinity Baptist Church Praise Team. I with my wife Donna own our own recording studio,(SpaceCad Studio) and a Heating & Airconditioning Co (Perryman Service www.perrymanservice.com). Our new CD "Great Big World" is our first Christian effort. You know I've always enjoyed playing music, but playing for The Lord is something altogether different. I highly recommend it.

I would like to admit something to you...I am a drug addict. there I said it. I don't do drugs anymore, but I am still an addict. I used to pray for the strength to not do drugs anymore, but the truth is God gives us the power for these things, if we surrender to Him. I'm surely not saying it's easy, but it can be done.(with prayer, family & friends )
So I guess what I'm saying is just because we are christians we are not immune to the trappings of the world. However if we fellowship with other christians as we are called to do we can hold each other accountable and help support one another in these situations. So in the words of MercyMe's new song "Hold Fast Help Is On The Way"
